I had a truly excellent dinner here. If I had to choose the best place to go for a special meal in Truro, this would be it. Service was a bit slow, but the food was delicious.

The hollandaise sauce was home made, fresh, with a touch of lemon. Fantastic. The waiter was attentive but not 'in your face'. Definitely recommend eating here. Super fresh and super friendly!

We pit stopped in Truro on route to Peggy’s Cove.
The staff accommodated our large group of 11.
Each family really enjoyed the service, ambience and the food was outstanding! I’m even going to attempt to recreate their delicious pea soup.
Wouldn’t hesitate to go back!

Small menu with gluten free options including desserts. And the chef bakes his own GF bread (excellent).

My husband and I stopped for lunch - very glad we did. Cozy, comfy atmosphere. Excellent, friendly service. Fantastic food.
1. Chicken cranberry sandwich with lobster Mac and cheese side - sandwich was flavourful, bun was soft and buttery. Mac and cheese was yummy with loads of lobster.
2. Also had the haddock chowder which was flavourful and filling. Served with a buttery biscuit that melted in my mouth. We highly recommend eating here.

10/10 I ordered the soup but they ran out so I picked a half size salad and it was amazing! The perfect amount!

Went for takeout and it was a smooth process. Called ahead of time and got my food at the time we agreed on.
The food was a little bit underwhelming. The bun and chicken for the four sandwiches we ordered was a bit dry. The sauces in the sandwiches helped.

We came for Saturday brunch and had the lobster panini with cream of mushroom soup and spinach salad with lobster. All exceeded our expectations. The room is light and fresh with nice art. Service is excellent and prices very reasonable.

I went for lunch. I received my coffee quickly but then waited. And waited. And waited.
At 12: 45, I had to request it to go because I wasn't going to have time to eat it and return to work in time. The food tasted good, but the portion was quite small for the price. Perhaps it was small due to how hastily it was packed. (It only took a minute for it to be packed to go which makes me think it was just sitting there).
I won't be returning any time soon, especially if I have time constraints.

Great restaurant. 2 of us dined there about 7 days ago. It is a small intimate restaurant. Reservations are recommended or you better go early.
Menu is small but the food is fantastic. I would suggest you order one of the specials. The biggest surprise was the price, which I happily found was quite low for the quality. Similar meals at other restaurants often cost twice as much.
The service was also terrific.
I hope to be back some day.

Delightful local lively restaurant on a wonderful street. There is ample parking behind the shops as well. The food was terrific, made with care and love. We opted for lobster on a panini, I has the Mac and cheese my dining companion opted for the spinach salad, the server should have mentioned there was blue cheese as she isn't fond of it - no problem it ended up on my plate. The panini was full of lobster and the Mac and cheese is absolutely delicious, lovely and creamy with the larger style elbow macaroni. A definite do again. I urge you to make reservations as this is a favourite with locals and I now know why. Dennis knows his food. Kudos

A must go if you're in Truro, Nova Scotia. Excellent food prepared with care. Rich flavours and fresh ingredients.

Came here for dinner with reservations for 5. Intimate dining area with a friendly server Savannah. The scallops were fresh and the most memorable part of our meal. 2nd most memorable was the dessert (we ordered all 3) Trifle, carrot cake and cheesecake. All equally delicious with a nice contrast in textures. We ordered the steak, chickpea curry with lobster and the lobster fettuccine. All entrees were flavourful and tasty. Would definitely want to try their brunch and lunch menu items next time.

It's one of my regular haunts. Good food and a decent selection. The mac and cheese with the lobster addon it pricey but worth it for a decadent lunch. The wait staff are friendly and attentive.

Stopped in with friends from Ontario, had lunch, it was delicious all around. The place is extremely clean and the staff are very friendly and nice. I will definitely be back, very impressive
