Best Greek food in Halifax! Consistently amazing food whether dining in or takeout. Restaurant is beautifully decorated with a warm cozy atmosphere. Options for vegetarians and carnivores. You won't be disappointed.

The food is awesome! All the dishes that we ordered were full of flavour and playful to the palate! The greek bruschetta was really good! Overall, it was a great food experience and I would love to visit again!

This is by far the best restaurant in all of Halifax! The service, the drinks, the flavours of the most delicious food is absolutely incredible! The owner Jimmy works hard to ensure the best customer satisfaction. Our waiter, Sasha, has always treated us with the utmost respect and is #1 in our books! Thanks guys!

I got take out this evening for calamari from Blue Olive. I got home after picking it up and I was really disappointed. The batter was soggy and falling off almost all the rings, and the texture was as chewy as beef. It was unpleasant and I could not finish it.

I’ve had good calamari before and this really underwhelmed my expectations.

I’ve eaten here before and ordered Yiayia’s Pasta which I also didn’t really enjoy since it tasted very bland and simple, like tomato sauce from the supermarket.

However, my friend had another one of their pastas that I tasted and it was much better.

Overall, I don’t really know what to think yet and it seems that their menu items can be a hit or miss.

I wish I could get a refund on my calamari.

Love this place! The atmosphere is great, the food is amazing and the service is always wonderful.

I’m sure food is good but if you can’t be seated if you’re alone, you have an opportunity to actually try it. Really should have disclaimer on website. I took a bus to get there on a rainy night at 5: 15 pm and was told I couldn’t be seated. I understand understaffing…but do better.

It was our first time at Blue Olive and it won’t be the last. Our food was excellent and the staff was second to none.

Food was actually very good but my Moussaka had a sharp screw baked into it which I nearly swallowed (mistakes happen) I called to let them know and was told I would receive a call back. Nobody got back to me.

The atmosphere here is great, feels like a family run green taverna - exactly how it should feel. The owner/cook (not sure) came out to check on us multiple times and make sure we were having a good experience. The dips are delicious as is the bread. The vegetarian Moussaka was good but could have a had a little bit more flavour, that’s where the 5th star is lacking. I would definitely return to try other dishes!

Unhappy with my first experience here. We had an online reservation but the restaurant did not receive it. Love Greek food and was excited to try this place for my 4th wedding anniversary but we couldn't be accommodated. I am still hope to try this restaurant because it was recommended by a friend.
