Boneheads BBQ

Staff are friendly, limited street parking. Pulled pork and pork ribs were great, but the brisket didn't really have a smokey flavour that I would expect. Sweet potato chips, cornbread and beans were good.

Food wasn't very good. Pulled pork was only thing that had flavor, everything else was bland or just average.

The worst was the brisket! Absolutely bone dry and no flavor whatsoever. Possible the worst I've ever had.

Staff was very friendly however.

Food not fresh and it maybe old! Imedetely after eating the ribs, I got sick and ended up puking (vomiting) my gutts out. I tried calling to speak to a manager and was quickly hanged up on and then calls went directly to voicemail. Buyer be ware avoid atablishment as the food does not apear to be safe to eat. I would not have written this awful reviewed if they had atleast hear me out and take responsibility but instead I was ignored.

Was disappointed by the ribs the were burnt and. Very tough the rest of the food was really good and the banana pudding was amazing

I’ve been to several weddings they’ve catered. Delicious! I stopped in yesterday for a take out order, and the quality is exceptional. Thanks for the great meals!

Way too good. The PB pie is absolutely to die for! My favourite is the pulled pork sandwich always done so well

We got the 3-meat combo: double order of ribs and sausage (they had run out of brisket and chicken). Ribs were great, sausage was good. Sauces were delicious (especially the gravy), tasty cornbread and coleslaw.
They forgot several components of our order, which we checked before we left. They were apologetic, but just FYI to check your takeout bag before you leave.

Great place for some quality food at a low price. Everything made to order and food thats bigger than your hand there's no way you'll have room for dessert!

This business sells gift cards but does not always redeem them. Walk in with a gift card and watch the staff discover multiple "technical issues" as if you are the first person to have the audacity to redeem a gift card. Dishonest business that rips people off.

Great bbq at a good price. Ribs, smoked sausage, and pulled pork are awesome. I only had their brisket once and it seemed dry. Maybe it was an off day for them; I’ll have to give it another try at some point.

The mac n' cheese is really good, the cornbread with whipped honey butter was sooo good? The rest was fine, not great but not terrible either, everything kinda needs a bit more flavor and salt, and even though we waited like 15-20 mins for our food to be ready it was somehow still cold when served to us, overall it was okay but not great. I would go back for the mac n' cheese and cornbread alone though, soo good.

First time ordering, and it definitely won’t be the last! I got the pulled chicken sandwich with added slaw, jalapeños and pickles; mac and cheese; tater tots with a side of the chipotle ranch. They also gave me another dip, not sure what it is but it’s yummy! And a side of bbq sauce. Im a big sauce girl so this is a bonus! Thanks so much, can’t wait to try more on the menu. Very filling and delicious it all was. (Im also picky with mac and cheese and read a bad review, bonehead/ recipe is delicious and you can tell it is homemade!)

Great food. The brisket is really tender, and the pulled pork is delicious. The BBQ Sauce options they have are all incredible. Good portions, as well.

Been wanting to try boneheads for a while and it sure didn’t disappoint, amazing food great smoke flavour and the staff is so nice and accommodating… highly recommend!

Don’t walk.run to bone heads!

Drove in from Bedford to try for the first time. Got home and they forgot my sides.
Meat was good though. Pricey without the sides though!

Originally my first order from here was a bad experience, however I ordered again.and the food was actually really good! The ribs are flavorful with very little fat you chew on, while staying soft to eat. You could literally eat them with a spoon if you wanted to. I don't care for the pork sandwich as much as I did, it's not bad nor is it Lick the bones best. The gravy still stands as my favourite thing from here. It's filled with flavor as it is created using the drippings from the smoker. Very delicious. The tator tots as a side are very scrumptious, better than their fries imo. Crispy exterior, fluffy interior, seasoned, etc. I've tried their fries a couple times and they do not compare to tots. I did not re-order the brisket though.would be 5 stars however my first experience with them is still in my mind.

TL;DR a much better experience with very well seasoned and flavoured food.

This review is 100% literal with no exaggeration.with $75 + delivery fees I bought ribs, brisket, sausage sandwich, and pulled pork poutine. The ribs where where literally hard to eat, I had literally trouble tearing the ribs apart from each other from how dry it was. The brisket had no juice, seasonings, or flavor, The sandwich was delicious, although very dry, making it hard to swallow.

The only good thing from my order was the poutine which might be the best in all of Halifax. I have ordered from basically every place that sells poutine in Halifax and this is in the top 2 of my favorite poutines. The gravy is phenomenal, the pulled pork (add on) was the best meat from my order, and the fries where good. TL;DR poutine is their saving grace.

Absolutely mandatory to eat here the day after a long night of drinking. I always make it a priority to eat here when visiting Halifax. The meats are amazing and the side are just as good. Love it!

Boneheads is always so delicious. Never have had a bad meal from here. Do yourself a favour and try their sweet potato chips!

I got the brisket sandwich and really enjoyed it with their mustard based BBQ sauce. Macaroni was silky and cheesy. Will definitely return on a bigger budget to experience all the meats and sides.

Staff were friendly and fast.

Food seemed ready right away and tasted like it too. Hard cold expensive. Stay away be warned.

The food taste was horrible. The poutine is disgusting and the wings are dry and the mac n cheese is old

We ordered Pit Boss Sampler takeout tonight. They forgot to give us the 3 corn breads and the BBQ beans… I understand Fridays can be busy, but 4 items missing!? Please double check before you staple next time. Not coming back.
