Boondocks Restaurant

I like the food very much. Waiter girl very nice, quick. There is a gift shop inside (cool magnets)
I found the music don't match to the restaurant (90s rap).

There was little atmosphere in the restaurant, the servers didn’t interact with customers.
We waited an hour for our food, despite there being few tables occupied. The server seemed affronted when we asked if our order had been forgotten! He said the kitchen says five minutes! After another twenty five minutes (and five minutes before we were going to leave) the food arrived with sarcasm.
The only saving grace was that the food was good!
I would suggest taking g a long book to read whilst waiting for your order!

Had to get away from the Halifax crown and found the Boondocks restaurant a perfect place to eat

Excellent service. Outside is sketchy because they miss you. So inside service is better. The food has always been good. Try it out if your around fisherman's cove.

The service was terrible, there were almost no people and it took more than 30 minutes to bring the food, the waiter was not friendly, I left the 18% tip out of habit but I don't know I deserved it, the fish tacos have no flavor, the bread with garlic and chicken strips very good

Location is marvelous, om the sea is a great place to spend your time.
Parking, there are lots of free parking spaces.
Decorations and layout are cozy, romantic, and elegant.
Service, the servers are very friendly and well knowledgeable of the menu. And their follow up was nice and professional
Waiting to be served was plausible.
Waiting to get the order was a little bit late, the time was more than expected.
Orders: My plate was normal, I did not like the mash potatoes, and the qty of veggies was very little.
Testing is acceptable
Update: My second visit was similar to the above. However, the washroom really requires an upgrade. In that condition are not acceptable.

Conclusion The majority of the rate is based on the food. In this case, I see they need to upgrade the qty

We had the raspberry lemonade, nachos, fish and poutine and everything was great! The patio is beautiful and Jenna did a great job as our waitress!

The food and service was great. The food took a bit longer than expected to arrive despite the restaurant being a slow weekday but overall the food and atmosphere was great and I would definitely come again.

We sat on the patio for fish and chips. Mia was amazing. She came out in the cold to ensure we were doing ok and had everything we needed.

My friend and I went out to boondocks once again tonight and had a wonderful time thanks to our server Jenna. She was very nice and struck up fun conversations with us, thanks Jenna for the great night!

For a place in a highly visible location with a lot of tourists available to frequent this restaurant, the experience was pretty disappointing. The waiter was only seen when our order was brought out and only again when the bill was to be paid. We didn't get cutlery to eat our meal until well after our food arrived, and when we did, we got one set for a party of three. We had to wait another 3-4 minutes to get the rest and when it came, we only got forks - no knives and no napkins. Our waiter also neglected to check to see if everything was ok after the first few bites. The food quality was ok, but the fish was definitely not fresh, which one would think it should be, when you consider that such a thing would be a dockside restaurants bread and butter. Oh well. Lesson learned.

Nice restaurant in walking distance of the inn at Fisherman's Cove. We tried a few items on the menu, and the coconut cream pie was memorable. Food seafood choices are available. We ate calm chowder, a poutine, and a classic fried haddock.

Jenna did an excellent job making us feel welcome. Great service. Great atmosphere. Fun for kids. Thanks Jenna!

The food at this restaurant was amazing, but even better was the service from our great waitress Jenna!

Our server Jenna was polite and cheerful and my friend and I had an amazing time tonight at one of our favourite restaurants, thank you Jenna and boondocks for this amazing service.

And the waitress who recommended the cream sicke drink.it's now our fave!

My family had my birthday dinner at boondocks for my 20th. The atmosphere was terrific, the food was spot on and our waitress Jenna, was friendly, attentive and humorous. The whole experience was wonderful, would definitely recommend.

Jenna was a fantastic server. We were having a family reunion and she made our dinner extra special.
