Broadwater Inn & Cottages Cape Breton

Be aware that making a reservation at the Broadwater is a gamble, not a guarantee. Booked a cottage 7 months ago and now, less than a month until our booking date, have now been told that the cottage is no longer available. Not even an apology from the owner.

Nice pleasant stay for 2 nights. Beautiful surroundings near the water and clean.

Worth the visit just to meet John the Innkeeper. A man with a big smile and many stories to share. We stayed 2 nights in the Breton Room - lovely, spacious, super comfy bed and pillows, porch with great view of the lake. The Inn is lovely but as we were early on the season it was not yet fully open. Highly recommend.

Great and friendly staff. We stayed in two different units. Both were well stocked and extremely clean. Both units were very spacious and had very clean hot tubs. Highly recommend.

Beautiful scenery and excellent hospitality! John and Rico were amazing hosts and the rooms were clean and well kept. The grounds are expansive and simply gorgeous. I will certainly be returning to enjoy this hidden gem in the near future!

Delightful 2 night visit. John, the innkeeper, has a great personality and tells wonderful stories. Breakfast was delicious. John gave us maps of places to see on Cabot Trail, and wealth of information about the area and where to dine.
