It’s a great place and the food was amazing. Went with some folks from out of town and the service was very good.

Worst experience! No customer service. First we got our order too late just for two plates of tikki. The tikki was so sour and spicy when i requested a girl working over there for sweet chatni i mean sauce as it was spicy nd sour instead of doing a customer service. She said extra charge for sweet chatni cmon bro! Also mentioed it always be sour as we never tasted a tikki before. Aunty ji u r so good at customer service please teach that girl how to be polite with customers instead of arguing.we have alwayse best experiencs with u aunty ji!

Great service, great taste, the staffs each and everyone are so lovely. The price is also reasonable. There’s another Indian restaurant where we expected great food. But I was disappointed. And Byblos is far better than that. The garlic naan is our personal favourite. It’s soft and easy for the kids to eat. Once they served masala chai as a welcome drink, and the first sip felt like I was in India at my mother’s place. That’s how the chai impacted me. Thank you for the compliment chai. Will always visit here with family.

Got veey bad experience. They are so slow to serve even its not busy store. I ordered a drink and had to wait more than 30 minutes.

My daughter and her wife suggested we go there on my visit to them, and I'm looking forward to going again. The food was excellent, the service friendly and agreeable. It's not a fancy place, so you can go anytime and enjoy a delicious meal and delightful staff.

We had the combo butter chicken amazing, best east Indian food I've had here in the area.highly recommend great service.

The lamb korma was delicious but we ordered the butter chicken combo, do not recommend, 2 little pieces of chicken bite size, the "salad, ' is just onions. I called to ask why no salad and he said the onions are the "salad". For 66 bucks delivery I will never order here again. Try somewhere else. Rip off.

Best Indian food in Canada, hands down. We were so sceptical of trying Indian food in Halifax after several bad experiences but this place is on another level. No exaggeration here, dilli ka taste hai inke khane mein.we tried tikki chola, chat papdi, chilli chaap, dal naan- everything was top notch. Craving for great Indian food? THIS IS THE PLACE!

Discovered Byblos just over a year ago.and I keep coming back. Their food is the definition of comfort food. Warm, delicious and flavourful. The space is inviting and all staff are beyond friendly. I especially adore Sara, who is an exceptional server and gives great recommendations.

If you enjoy hot spicy like me, give the chicken kadai a shot. Something I appreciate about Byblos is how FRESH the spices are. It truly makes all the difference. My favourite dish so far is the butter chicken - the best I've tried anywhere in the halifax area. The veg samosas and butter chicken are great options if you're looking for something more mild.

Whether you're coming here for a full meal, or a quick snack, I find it quite affordable.

Attached are photos of the aloo tikki chaat, butter chicken with rice and garlic naan - which is a classic. (Of course we also had some gulab jamun for dessert but it was gone so quickly I forgot to take a picture!)

They have the best food in town. I got the butter chicken and malai kofta and it was delicious. Tastes like authentic Indian food and the portion size is great for the price. The customer service is great too- the staff is polite, efficient and quick. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for good food and ambiance!:)

They really don’t know how to run thé business. They open at 3: 00 PM today. We came here from all the way to Halifax. The guy told us they are open but their kitchen staff usually come at 5: 00? Doesn’t make any sense. If their staff start working at 5: 00 then why they put it online at 3: 00. Even their sign is saying they are open

Tried to go here tonight. They have several items on the menu listed as dairy free (including some paneer dishes) ; however when I double checked what was dairy free, I was told basically nothing. I was told not even the samosas were dairy free.

I've tried the Indian side of the menu mostly. Unfortunately, so far it has just been bland and disappointing. The portions are not a great size for the price either.
I am not sure if the Lebanese side is better.
I really hope they improve their flavors.

First time I ordered from Byblos I had what I thought was the best Indian food in the HRM. Fast-forward 4 months and I order from them again.

The basmati rice we ordered was not basmati rice. It was some other thick, long grain rice.

The buttered chicken might as well have been tomato soup.

The biryani had the same non-basmati rice with an incredibly bland flavor.

The tandoori oven was broken and thus they had no naan. They substituted some other flat bread that had absolutely no taste.

I don't know what happened to Byblos, but I sincerely hope they get it fixed.

They provide some food for take out but not for dine in and when we ordered food they didn’t even provide a single plate to serve because the food we ordered that was only for take out. 2 star for chhole, that was good but bhaturas were like plain naan and if we order it for take out then it becomes worst.

The taste is amazing. We tried choley bhature and samosa chat. It was so delicous. The staff is so friendly and polite. The ambience is nice as compared to other Indian restaurant.

I used to often visit this place they were good before but now they are getting worse day by day, 3 times i ordered for take out because there was no dine in and 3/3 it was worst. Please guys decide before visiting because there are so many other indian restaurents don't waste your money here.

Few places were open and delivering, being Good Friday and all, so a friend and I decided on this place given we had a craving for Indian food. I ordered with low expectations and requested ‘extra spicy’ for 2 dishes (curry chicken and vegetarian) to see how hot they would make them. I am used to Indian food from the UK and boy was it on point, my friend enjoyed it but struggled with the heat LOL. We ordered quite a bit for 2 people and devoured everything. The sauces were flavourful with body and not watery like most spots in town who haven’t reduced the sauce base sufficiently. Looking forward to placing an order again and suggest given them a try.

The food tasted very good, it was made made with good quality ingredients and the quantity was also genuine. Specially chicken shawarma plater it was so good. Overall experience was good

This has been my go-to place for shawarma plates for the last couple of years - but they have been inconsistent the last few times I've ordered from there. The rice included used to be just a very neutral plain rice that went awesome with the meat and the garlic/tahini sauce. Then the second-to-last time I had ordered had this very strong flavoured yellow rice (maybe saffron?) with it and it is absolutely awful with the shawarma flavours. I can't even eat the rice. Thought it might be a one-off and they had been out of their usual rice so then I ordered it again after that and the neutral rice was back - so I was very happy it was back to normal! Then I ordered it again tonight and the yellow rice was back. So needless to say I was not pleased as I couldn't eat a good chunk of my meal.
Before the rice fiasco I would've given this place 5 stars and I had recommended it to friends and family. I just wish they were consistent with the rice or at least had the option on which type I'd prefer.

First, great food; meats, humus, bread, salads are all delicious. Excellent staff even showed me how to BBQ better. Plates are fair bit expensive especially if you get the tasters menu, witch costs about 30$ plus if you get the meats but entirely worth it.

Edit Oct 2021: it seems like the restaurant got a big update since last time I went there. The place lost its small family business feel where the chef prep your order on the coals in view. The Lebanese menue has been seriously cut and replaced with a good variety of Indian dishes. We had a taste of some of those and all were flavourfull and reasonably priced. Byblos is still worth the visit or the delivery.

The food all tasted the same. The tandoori malai chicken was alrite and so were the naan. The rest of the stuff was made with the same base and same taste. If one would like to eat warm tomato sauce with chili and name it different dishes it would be a fair description.

As with any business you can not satisfy everybody and owning various businesses and traveling between British Columbia, Ontario and nova scotia i like great food at good prices these people have that in spades i never post a review but seeing people posting negative reviews bothered me they have some of the best food i have ever eaten in Canada and why those people post is either they have nothing else to do or never tried real food before and if the later is right email me your address and i will have a can of your favorite cat or dog food sent to you.

We wandered in today and boy I was so surprised! The butter chicken poutine is absolutely delightful and Kadhai also amazing. We will certainly be back. Pretty affordable for a dinner for two and portion sizes were perfect for a leftover snack. Staff was amazing.

Recent few orders of Byblos were not great. That's why I m changing my stars from 5 to 3. They use to give onions n pickles with Chole bahtura. Didn't receive any last 2 orders. Channa seem like a more like having oily water. Recent Garlic fries order was really bad. They felt raw. Hopefully the management can pay more attention and bring back their quality back up. I know they did provide good quality food not sure what's happening?

Best Indian food in Dartmouth! Literally so flavourful, large variety of dishes to choose from, great staff! Every time I bring someone new to this restaurant they thank me and say they will be back. Takeout is just as good as the in dining:)

I ordered the smosa chaat with choley and pani puri and it was totally waste of money do mot like it at all.

$15 for a soupy, oily mess of butter chicken sauce with 4 huge chunks of chicken and no rice? ! Server was very nice when I picked up the order but this and my partners chicken shawarma were not good. Many better options all around town, will be hard pressed to come back here.

Finger licking food with amazing service. I would recommend Chicken Curry and Butter Chicken. I had both of them and they were awesome.

We ordered shawarma plates for take out since we always go to mezza for take out and we wanted to give another local restaurant a chance. Well that was a huge mistake. The shawarma platter looked like dog food. Rice was flavourless, fries were mushy, toum was oddly flavoured, hummus was soupy, and chicken had the consistency of tuna from a can. It was also very expensive for the portion size which was mostly rice and fries. We will not be back. That being said I’m giving 2 stars because the food was ready quickly and the staff were so kind and polite.

Not fresh at all, please dont tell me you prepare fresh. It was microwaved. You guys burn my tongue.

Complete waste of money on chicken shawarma. Packing was just a mess and the box was fill with mushy potato fries.

The Lebanese cuisine here has gone way down hill since it’s opening, my experience tonight was upsetting, the bar wouldn’t make a Shirley Temple lol, the menu listed Pepsi but Coke was served and they said they just didn’t revise their menu. The lamb was cooked well done, like leather and was told I couldn’t have vegetables with my main only salad but no tabouli. It seems since adding Indian cuisine the Lebanese got lost.

Beautiful restaurant! The staff was very friendly and social. Our server was a lady named Sarah, her service was amazing and she had a very kind and loving nature. I have tried many Indian restaurants all over Ontario, but this one has the best food. The quality and taste was absolutely amazing, definitely visit if you like Indian/Lebanese cuisine. Their portions are so big! Their shawarma platter was very nice. Lamb biryani is a must. Thank you for such a lovely evening!:)

Delicious food with authentic Indian taste. Excellent customer service. Achari chicken and chicken tikka masala with garlic naan worth it to give a try. Love their gulab jamun in dessert.

Our first time ordering from Byblos tonight and the phone service, website, and the in person take out service were all excellent. But the food was mind blowing! Chicken curry, roti and naan as well as the falafel burger and fries - all outstanding! Not one thing could have been better. We are in love and will be back many times in the future! We will be recommending to everyone! THANK YOU for the special meal!

Laccha parantha was dry.
Dahi bhalle lacked chutney and spice
Dal makhani was decent.
Shahi paneer was ok but very oily

Best Indian Chicken Gravies you can get in Halifax-Dartmouth region. Achari Chicken is my favourite.
Also try their Tikki and Samosey Choley. Reasonable prices and you won't regret it.

Had chicken shawarma platter. Probably the best I've had. The rice was fantastic the humus was amazing. The children shawarma was moist and flavourful.the garlic sauce was to die for! I could eat it by the spoonful lol. It's not over powering garlic taste. The humus was prob the best tasting I've had. I will most definitely order again. Ohhhh the salads too.feta salad and fatoosh were amazing. Those pita chips on the fatoosh salad. Whoaaa. Sooo tasty. Highly recommend.
