Cabot Cliffs Golf Course

I find it impossible that anyone would rate this golf course anything but a full 5 stars. In fact, if 6 were possible, I would give it 6. This course was a bucket list experience for me, and I was lucky enough to be visiting my uncle who lives 5 minutes down the road. I played with my dad and cousin on the final weekend of their season, and we had an absolute blast. I have been trying to convince everyone else I know to head to Cabot for the same experience!

I am glad I was able to play such a magnificent golf course this year as it will soon be way to expensive for the average golfer to consider!

This review is for this course only. The entire experience is 5 star.

However this was my favorite course. The views are stunning which is a reflection the the piece of land and some of the way the designer used the land. But it would be hard to screw up with this piece of property.

Having sis that the course is awesome. I can’t remember a single joke I don’t like. Sure I may not have played a few well but I got to try twice on this trip. I will be back.

Forgiving at times, always fair, lots of decisions in terms of risk reward, great shape, and stunning g spot with awesome service from starter to caddy to halfway house to the excellent free cookies. Just perfect

Every golfer should play these courses at least once in their lifetime. Put them on your bucket list!

Beautiful links layout by the sea. Not too challenging, if you can keep it straight. Greens are another thing, however.lots of long, rolling puts.

This place is incredible. It's a truly amazing golf experience, with perfect fairways and greens, beautiful scenery, and each hole feels naturally etched into the landscape. Set your expectations for the round to be a little on the slow side (5 hours), but that's understandable given how busy the course can get and how every person playing it is looking to maximize their experience.

Every member of staff was friendly, and a massive thanks to my caddy Joel who provided excellent advice, history about the course, and banter throughout my round.

This course is just epic. I played it on a drizzly day, and instead of ruining the experience it just enhanced it. Stunning views, weather that is volotile, lots of wind. We had caddies and they were excellent in helping us navigate the course. Truly awesome experience, recommend anyone who is a golfer play this course at least once if they have the chance.

Played a round of twilight Golf on July 22,2022 with my wife and son. Course layout and conditions were absolutely amazing! The scenery was breathtaking and the golf course definitely lived up to the "hype". The staff were very friendly and courteous, especially the starter who spent time explaining the course and taking lots of photos for us not only on the 1st hole but also met us on the 10th hole and took more photos for us. However, I do have two significant complaints about our experience. First off, we had a very slow group of 5 in front of us (4 golfers and one spectator). They were extremely slow and did not seem to care if anyone behind them would get finished before dark. Our tee-off time was 4: 12pm and we did tee off on time. We waited on almost every hole and early on the back nine it became apparent that we were potentially not going to make it before dark. There were 3 additional groups behind us that started to push us pretty hard around the 15/16th holes which was understandable considering the slowness but unfortunate because we had no opportunity to pass the group ahead of us. As a result we clearly felt rushed the final 3 holes which are the courses "signature holes" and it left a bad taste for our overall experience. To make matters worse, we saw the Club Ranger multiple times on the back nine and he never went over to talk or confront the group ahead of us for the slow play. There was no one ahead of them for at least 2 or 3 holes (no one in sight). We ended up finishing at 8: 58pm (4hr 46 minutes), just after sunset and then watched the final 3 groups finish as we sat on the greenside couches. They too were clearly frustrated by the slow play and finishing up in darkness. After paying nearly $1000 to play golf for the 3 of us, for the Club Ranger not to do his job is completely unacceptable for a course of this caliber. The second complaint is regarding the club facilities. There are no clubhouse facilities of any kind at the course and therefore no opportunity to enjoy a drink or food after your round of golf. By the time we finished even the snack shop had closed. Again it seems like a course of this caliber should have a full suite of facilities for guests to enjoy after their round of golf like a few drinks and some food, especially since the course is located in a pretty remote location for people from out of town. Finally, the signage is very limited and unclear. Coming in from highway 19 the sign is almost missed and driving up to the parking lot it was very unclear as to where the bag drop was (again no signs). There was considerable dirt/dust from ongoing construction onsite as well which was not made known on the Cabot Website. Once again, the Golf course itself was amazing and we had a great round of golf, but because of the issues I described I would temper any recommendations that I make about Cabot Cliffs with these disclaimers.

Simply the best golf experience we have ever had. There are no words to describe this golf course and resort. The fairways are like are greens. The pure care and effort they put into the course did not go unrecognized. The views are spectacular. We took a class A caddie as it was our first time playing. Smart move. They knew the lines to play and how to read the greens.

Easy to see why this golf course is one of the best in Canada. Tough when wind is blowing. Scenery and vistas overlooking the water make this place truly remarkable. The course, restaurant and everything was first class.

Fantastic track! We had the best caddy, Paul. Great people and the course was in immaculate condition. Prices of course are ridiculous, but that was expected. Glad to have another check off the bucket list!

Magnifique séjour entre amis à Cabot, nous y avons passé 4 magnifique journée! Les terrains sont à couper le souffle. Prenez le temps de jouer le Nest, exécutif par 3,10 trous. Nous l'avons joué avant les 2 autres et ce fût une pratique incontournable pour nous préparer au reste.

Le personnel fût chaleureux et accueillant. Les départs sont biens organisés afin de ne pas attendre et d'avoir suffisamment de temps pour jouer et prendre quelques clichés.

La nourriture est excellente, tant les déjeuners, cantine et soupers, l'ensemble de l'oeuvre est WOW. Nous y retournerons assurément!

One of the most incredible courses I've ever played. Great design based on the natural topography. Beautiful seaside scenery, lots of elevation changes and tricky greens. A must play for any golfer.

Wow. The course was immaculate and stunning. The service is excellent, friendly staff that go out of their way for you to enjoy your experience from the minute you leave your car. The wraps at the cafe were delicious and fresh.

Ive been on hold three times for 20 minutes, progressed from 3 callers ahead to first in line, then cut off after 20-25 minutes and told to leave a message, and guess what no one has called me back for 3 days! 3-400 $ a round! Imagine!

Update- i did reach out via instagram and before too long i believe the first Monday of July they did return my call, and i understand they were under staffed and not open yet, but it would have been nice to of gotten the answering machine right away rather then wait an hour.

Absolutely beautiful surrounding scenery. Unfortunately the weather was too cold and windy to play golf enjoyable in. Very pricey but it obviously is a bucket list place to play golf at. Enjoy the Cabot trail and all of its majestic views while on Cape Breton Island.

Great course. Great views. Get a caddie (ask for Archie) worth the $. My son is in this pic. This is what this course is about, memories.

Everything was unbelievable great food great staff from head to toe. I will never forget my experience
