Cabot Powersports

Had my Quad in for diagnostics and servicing with them twice. First time, they said my plow mount wasn't compatible and wanted to charge $450 for drilling a couple holes to make it work. I declined and said I'd do it myself. Long story short, picked up the Quad and found out that the mount was discarded without my authorization.

Picked up my Quad today (November 1,2023) after being told my Quad needs a new inner clutch. They quoted me almost $1500 in parts plus 4-6 hours of labor. I declined service and said I'd pick it up. When I took it to them, it was semi-functional. When I picked it up today, well, I'll let the picture do the speaking for me.

Very disappointed in this shop. Went to pick up my 4 wheeler bike in hopes to use this weekend but the store was closed, even though the hours on the door said open until 12pm. I was not the only one there to pick up their equipment. Now I have to wait until Tuesday to get my bike back. If you post hours of operation on the door and web. Maybe you should follow them.

Charged $143 for a simple oil change that takes 10 mins. Told me my appt was in the morning and then had other people in an out doing work, I waited almost 2 hours for the oil change to be done.

Brought the bike in because I had a handlebar shake. Told me it was balancing beeds needed, then when I brought it In for the appointment they told me the front wheel was shot, then 15 mins later told me it was fine and it was my back tire. I got my front tire replaced and it fixed the issue. I used to love going here and bought a bike from them, but never again. Money grab and taking advantage. Be aware

Après avoir parcouru plus de 1400 km depuis Montréal, la moto de l'un de nos compagnons de voyages est tombée en panne sur l'île du Cap-Breton. Elle refusait de démarrer, une batterie neuve achetée chez un commerçant de Port-Hawkesbury n'avait pas réglé le problème. Nous avons fait remorquer la moto chez Cabot Powersports à Sydney. Nous nous sommes présentés chez eux sans les prévenir et ils ont réglé le problème au cours de la même journée. Grâce à eux nos vacances ont été mémorables. Nous aimerions remercier particulièrement Alicia et Blake pour leur excellent service.

Me and my boyfriend will not be returning nor spending any money at this store/shop. Staff were unprofessional, rude and acted as if they were doing him a favour after not scheduling the appointment he had confirmed with them multiple times for an inspection, saying they will do it if they have time as he didn’t have an appointment which he did they just didn’t put him down. Didn’t call him when they didn’t pass the bike for inspection over a singular missing bolt. When he asked them to put a bolt in in order to have it pass they stated they didn’t have the time and they were too busy. So he left with his bike not inspected and had to look for the bolt that was missing himself as the response he got when asking is “you can handle it”. Staff teased and poked fun at him and myself while in store. We will not be back thanks for wasting our time.

Excellent customer service. Fantastic group of people. Not evasive at all. They let you do your thing, and when you're ready to ask questions, one of their extremely knowledgeable staff is ready to help.

Nice place they moved to. Friendly and informative staff who don't bug you to death, but are there to help when needed

I recently went to purchase a Honda lawn mower and was disappointed to discover that the dealership added an extra $360 to the total cost. This additional charge included administrative fees of $200, and a delivery fees and a holding fee of 160. In order to verify if this practice was common among other dealerships, I contacted another Honda dealer in other city and came to know that only Cabot Powersports implemented such an extra charge. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend shopping at that particular shop due to the additional fees they impose.

I'm a regular customer. Every transaction is quite easy. Looking forward to the next deal!

I guess I jumped the gun with my review here but in but the folks at cabot powersports did come through and fixed my kodiak covering more than 90% of the expenses.

I wanted an atv for year's finally with some persuasion from my children I financed a new 2023 kodiak 450. Got it home on a Friday afternoon took it for a drive awesome. Next day i was out on the trails going through some mud and puddles. 49km and the wheels stopped moving engine running but wheels were not moving. Had to push it home less than 24 hours after getting it. Did some Google searches and I came to the conclusion that water got into the gear box and or the drive belt got wet and I said that to Billy when I called cabot to tell them my new atv broke down. His response was "that shouldn't happen". They picked it up a couple days later called me back the next day. Billy asks if I'm sitting down. Said the gear box was full of water/mud and completely destroyed. But water shouldn't get it there. Right? He then said I swamped my machine and yamaha would not cover. I did not swamp my machine as Billy says. I was in puddles and mud no deeper than the tires. There's no chance something was overlooked by the manufacturer or cabot because Billy said that I swamped my machine.

Cabot has yamaha in their best interest and will call you a lier to avoid covering warranty on a brand new machine.
