Stayed in the Phoenix Dome for 2 nights and had the most wonderful experience. The dome was lovely and stayed warm through the night.
The highlight of our stay was the food. My husband has been a chef for 20+ years and was blown away by the quality of the food.
We had dinner one evening and the salmon was absolute perfection. We were lucky enough to be the only guests for breakfast so they cooked us a few items instead of the buffet and we enjoyed every bite. Hands down the best scrambled eggs I have ever eaten!
The staff were so wonderful, kind and accommodating. We would love to return and spend more time here exploring the trails and relaxing on the beach.
Thank you to everyone at Cabot Trail for such a wonderful experience!

Hot tubs were great, overlooking the gorgeous water view. Yurt was super comfortable, very spacious, and even when the fire died while we were sleeping, we stayed cozy and warm - the bedding was superb.

Recommendation for Red River Trail was great, and we enjoyed the hike very much.

Stayed at Cabot shores from October 7th-13th was an unforgettable experience. Stayed in a yurt and very spacious and comfortable. The location along the sea was gorgeous and could hop over to the beach whenever. Kayaked two of those days and could see beaver domes while doing so. Would highly try the food as well very accommodating to all dietary requirements. Recommend the chickpea massala very nice meal! Friendly staff and good accommodation. 5/5

My boyfriend and I came here on a whim for lunch while in the area.

What a pleasant surprise! Loved the unique atmosphere and amazing, friendly people. Could have very well have been the best salmon I have ever eaten. Everything was cooked to perfection. Fresh and tasty. Hats off to the chef. We also had the mussels.huge portion and delicious.

We took a walk about the property, one of a kind cabins/domes to stay in.most of which, if not all had their own hot tub. Even a sauna by the water.

We would definitely highly recommend eating here at the bistro even if you are not staying over night. Everyone is lovely.they even offered to email us the salmon recipe because we loved it so much.

My only suggestion to owners would be to get better signage on the roadway, so visitors can find you easier. We passed the place twice before actually finding it. I think if there were two more signs a little up the rd on either side, more people may be able to come visit this hidden little gem.

Thanks so much for a great lunch and top-notch service.

We had our wedding here over the September long weekend and we honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience! Our wedding was just over 40 adults with some children. The owner and all the staff were very friendly, accommodating and went above and beyond with everything to help us have the best time. Over the weekend staff were knowledgeable with things to do on and off of the resort when asked by our guests.
The food was exceptional! All of our guests could not stop raving about the food that was served- for all meals.
Accommodations are rustic and cute, exactly what we were looking for! Many hot tubs arounds the resort as well that can be moved to your accommodation if you request it.
The resort is quite large as well with lots of beautiful scenery. Location on the Cabot trail was great as well.
We have nothing but positive things to say about our experience here!

Thanks for your understanding with our mistake in booking. We appreciate it very much and would definitely come back when we're in the area! You're wonderful people to work with. Thanks again.

My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Cabot Shores Wilderness Resort, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. The unique glamping accommodations, coupled with exceptional service, made our stay truly memorable. The location made exploring the property a breeze, and I can’t wait to return to Cabot Shores Wilderness Reaort on our next visit. Highly recommended!

We spent three nights attending a relative’s wedding in early September at this wonderful resort conveniently located right on the world-famous Cabot Trail. We stayed in one of the main lodge rooms which had spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean from the window.

The resort has a vast property overlooking beach that also includes an apple orchard and organic vegetable garden leading to the shores of the Atlantic. The amazing staff led by the owners Paul and Barbara are very hospitable, friendly and helpful.
The food at the wedding reception prepared by the in-house team was so delicious. There are also plenty of options for breakfast and lunch nearby serving a variety of cuisines with Cape Breton flair and friendliness.

We highly recommend the Cabot Shores Wilderness Resort for anyone planning a visit to Cape Breton Island!

We had our wedding at this beautiful venue in September, 2022. Our experience was amazing. Paul, Barbara, and the crew was super helpful from the planning stage all the way until we checked out after the event. The location of this property is unbeatable. We had our wedding ceremony in between two chalets - Red and Blue - overseeing the Atlantic Ocean. We booked three chalets and rooms at the main lodge for our guests and some of the guests rented yurts. The crew at Cabot Shores organized a bon-fire on the night before the wedding and organized a cookout with brick-oven pizzas that was out of this world! The food for the wedding was prepared by the chef of Cabot Shores - Ron - and it was superb. Paul and Barbara also organized local musicians for the event and Flo and her group was fantastic! We have nothing bad to say and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality of the staff and the natural beauty of the location. We highly recommend this lovely place to anyone planning their wedding or vacation.

First of all, if you get a chance to meet Katie during your stay consider yourself lucky! She is one of the nicest most positive personable people you will ever meet. She goes out of her way to make you comfortable and will do anything for you to help and make you happy. The only reason I’m writing this review is because she deserves some recognition! But if you don’t like bugs then don’t stay in one of the domes. It was absolutely littered with Asian beetles among some other insects. The bugs also leave a smell when you kill them and we spent a good amount of time making sure they were dead so they weren’t on or in the bed while we were sleeping, there was no getting them all though they just kept showing up. The hot tub was super nice but more of a one time daily use as they only replenish it once a day and in the cooler months it cools off quick. Beautiful views there.
20 November 2022 17:59
Beautiful location. Have huts to stay here.it would be better and comfortable if size of Hut slightly bigger. No service. Even our garbage bin we have to carry out to empty. Otherwise good stay.
18 November 2022 4:22
Wasn’t sure what to expect but this wasn’t it. Our yurt smelled like a zoo and everything costs extra over and above the nightly fee, really limiting the experience. The dinner service also left much to be desired with inattentive staff and middling food. Oh and don’t buy breakfast, coffee is weak and the food selection limited for the $14 you spend.
31 October 2022 18:00
They went above and beyond for my parents 50th anniversary. As a group of 13, they provided great accommodations and awesome food. The stay and meal were excellent. We stayed in a cottage. It is somewhat rustic but comfortable and clean. Spotty wifi at times but that was expected and not really an issue.
22 October 2022 14:31
We absolutely loved staying at Cabot shores. We stayed in the Eagle dome and it was really nice going to sleep with the sky above us and waking up to the sunset. The dome came with a private wooden hot tub (as all of their accommodations do). The food was fantastic and well priced. The waitress Katie was so kind and friendly which made the experience better. We would definitely recommend staying at Cabot shores and will likely come back ourselves. Cheers.

Stayed one night in "The Loft". Really cool, lots of room and got to play some ping pong while there. The kids loved it! The property was unique (in a good way) you can tell they worked hard at trying to maintain it. It has to be hard with the maritime weather and still trying to remain "wilderness".

Before I go in to the pros and cons I want to stress that we would definitely visit again if/when we go back to Cape Breton. It's a truly unique property.

The Pros: You can definitely tell they are trying to apply the "organic" life to this property. Solar Panels, Herb/Vegetable garden out front, yurts, geodesic domes etc.all make for a very cool experience. Outside at night I saw the Milkyway for the first time in years. A small sliver of moon provided us with an amazing view of the stars. What a treat!

The Cons: The Loft was fun and we loved staying in it. The downside of the room (an entire floor with room to sleep a lot of people if necessary) was the Exit signs that were super bright and had to be covered with T-shirts in order to not have it look like daylight inside while we slept.

Food: We had been sent an email saying that an Executive Chef would be on site for the dinner the evening we were there. I was truly looking forward to a culinary experience. As a former restaurant manager I was even excited. Here we are going to the Maritimes for the first time and we have the opportunity for a signature meal.

On the menu that we were presented with was a salad that looked good (beets and greens with a vinaigrette, iirc) as well as a Chowder. My family went for the salad but I really wanted to stick with the Maritime theme and chose the Chowder. They didn't have any.: (The menu was an 8.5x11 piece of paper and they could have had that not printed on it and bring my hopes up. For Entrees they had a striploin dish with a mushroom reduction, a chicken dish and a, iirc, gnudi pasta (gnocchi like) with a Bolognese sauce. I had the striploin and I asked it more rare than Medium Rare and I specified around 125F Internal temperature. My wife had the Bolognese pasta. The salad was amazing but pricey. My steak was overcooked and the waiter was kind enough to take it off the bill. The meat itself was a good piece of meat and it, overall, still tasted good. The Gnudi was more like a gnocchi than the light ricotta that it was supposed to be. They were lightly coated in a sauce but really, really lightly. To the point where you would question if there was any sauce at all on it. My wife had to ask for more sauce and even then was given a super small amount. The flavours of my steak where ok and the mushroom reduction was also ok. The gnudi was also just ok. In general next time I would eat before I come to stay. The prices were too high for just an ok meal.
You can definitely tell there is, in general, a labour shortage everywhere. The waiter, a very nice gentleman university student studying music, was trying his best but really didn't know much about waiting tables.

Overall, like I said, we would definitely stay there again now that our expectations have been reset. It's a wonderful place with a lot to offer. We may even try to get in to one of the geodesic domes, if available.

My daughters (8 & 9 years old) and I stumbled upon this place unplanned. We were ' winging' the east coast for a couple of weeks and during our drive through the Cabot Trail, we managed to find a lucky vacancy (the Flying Moose) at Cabot Shores (of interest to my daughters and I is that my youngest daughters' favourite cartoon is and old Disney one called ' the Flying Mouse'). This was an experience that cannot be matched by conventional schooling.
Paul and the Boss (I'm sorry I forgot your wife's name ‍️). I thank you for taking your 'philosophies' and transforming them into something tangible that my daughters and I could enjoy.
Thank-you for accommodating us.

We stayed in the Blue Chalet for one night on August 20th. Total price came to $402.50 with taxes. Upon arrival we were told it was an additional $50 plus tax for the use of the hot tub that was placed on the front deck. We decided to opt out as we just wanted to sleep after travelling all day. We were very disappointed with the state of the chalet for the price we had paid. There were cobwebs on ceiling fans and lamps in both bed rooms, and dead flies still stuck to the ceiling & walls in the upstairs area, along with blood with what I’m assuming and hoping was from a mosquito. There was also a brown stain rubbed on the wall under the mirror in the bathroom downstairs and stains all the cupboards in the kitchen area. But the worst was the little door behind the couch. This lead to what appeared to be a “basement. ” The door was NOT locked from inside the chalet, and upon investigating further outside, we discovered that there was access to inside the chalet from the outside. There was a blue milk crate sitting on the ground that looked to be like a step ladder to get inside the chalet from this other access door that was not made aware to us. Very unsettling for two woman to sleep alone in this surrounding. When I addressed this to the front desk first thing in the morning when we checked out, nothing was said. Nor any effort or attempt for compensation. Extremely overpriced for the state it was in. But more importantly for the security & safety of your guests. Will not recommend or return.
23 September 2022 3:46
My boyfriend and i decided to take a last minute road trip and on our way we looked at many places and thought it would be a nice romantic evening to be under the stars. We decided to stay in a dome and will most definitely be returning. The staff was super friendly and super helpful. Which made our overnight stay all the better.

Thank you for a lovely evening under the stars.
09 September 2022 4:37
Absolutely beautiful spot! Incredible service. Very laid back, the restful atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. This is an absolute gem! We stayed in the big orange yurt for a couple of nights, so tranquil! Then switched to the flying moose yurt for our last night to enjoy the stunning view. Thank you to the most accommodating staff for everything!
01 September 2022 14:05
Always love this place. It’s rustic but the owners and people make this wilderness retreat amazing! Ferry was not there this time when we went.
06 August 2022 4:40
Watch for "hidden" charges and animal hair but the yurt was a fabulous experience and the service by hosts was top notch.would go again!
05 August 2022 21:40
I came here to celebrate my 21st birthday so I put a lot of money into lodging here. I stayed in the domes with my partner and was disappointed by the experience. It’s a good experience if you’re coming in expecting a normal campground but it is advertised as a resort so we expected a fairly high end place to stay and celebrate, especially for over $200 a night but basically ended up paying for a normal camp site in a fancy tent. We did come at the beginning of the season so maybe everything wasn’t prepped but we were still quite unhappy.

Also pro tip the “beach”/ church pond is more of a marsh.
01 August 2022 14:36
Me, my mother and a friend stayed in the Tiger Yurt! This is my 5th time staying here and it’s the best place for a relaxing get away! Paul and his crew are so sweet and accommodating! The yurts are always super clean and give you the feeling of glamping! I highly recommend
30 July 2022 17:28
Had an amazing night in the Tiger Yurt and really enjoyed the use of the softtub. If you decide to book your stay here be sure to read the fine print and posted information to ensure you do not get charged for a service you thought might be included. (Garbage, taxes, pets, hottubs.)

That being said, you will have amazing, attentive and friendly hosts during your stay!

If you have allergies be sure to stay in one of thier dedicated pet free areas as the pet hair does persist in the nooks and crannies of the yurt!
22 July 2022 1:18
Paul was amazing at hosting us. Clean and beautiful place. We stayed at the beaver dome and it was beautiful… the only downside was that there is no Hot Tub for the beaver dome (which i think is a must) Other than that the view was amazing and staying in a dome was Awsomeee ….

Thanks Paul, see you at the shop one day
20 June 2022 15:09
The website does not represent what your actually getting. We stayed in the little sky yurt & it stunk so bad like must & mildew. As my husband said “it smells like we’re in a hamster cage”. The ceiling leaked, water damage on the floor & on the yurt canvas, mold also on the ceiling. It was the furthest thing from a resort. When we went inside for breakfast nobody even acknowledged us despite there being multiple staff. Keep in mind, we are avid campers, I’d rather sleep in a tent or car then this anyday.
30 November 2021 1:06
My partner and I loved our time at Cabot Shores. We stayed in a yurt for a week and goodness did we need that opportunity to unplug and tap back into nature. The grounds are beautiful, slowly sloping to the ocean, with a functioning apple orchard make you feel a connection to the land not found in many wilderness resorts.

Breakfasts in the lodge were a delightful way to start the day, and beers were a great way to wind down. The staff was friendly, helpful, and informative. A couple members of the team even took us on a beautiful hike to some breath taking falls near the resort.

Bring a flashlight and a thirst for adventure.

We can't wait to come back. Totally worth the 19hr drive from Toronto.
18 November 2021 13:56
This was an amazing place to stay on my Cabot trail adventure. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful experience. Customer service was friendly and informative. The manager called In advance to answer any questions and stayed late passed the check in time to give us a tour. We stayed in the little blue yurt and had a great night in the hot tub watching the October sky. The breakfast was good and all you can order. My only minor complaint was the yurt had a bit of a musty smell at first. I recommend bringing a candle if your yurt doesn't have a wood stove. But what do you expect in a canvas tent that spends all year outdoors.
17 November 2021 13:34
We stayed in the Flying Moose yurt and it was a peaceful and relaxing experience. We loved that we could relax by the fire and listen to the ocean and birds all day. It was rainy but it didn't matter because we spent the time snoozing and reading. We had the 3-course dinner on Saturday, and it was tasty, and the servers were very friendly. If you are looking for a rustic relaxing getaway with incredible views, I recommend it!
02 November 2021 14:44
Stayed in Tan Chalet, and would definitely 100% recommend! The staff are absolutely great (thanks again, Paul!), it's super quiet and peaceful, and we will definitely be returning next year!
01 November 2021 20:57
Très original, super bien aménagé, parfaitement propre, parfaitement équipé, tout bio, accueil plus que chaleureux.
14 October 2021 12:35
Had an excellent experience @ Cabot Shores! Stayed two nights in the Eagle dome and enjoyed the tranquility and star gazing at night, not to mention the super relaxing cedar hot tub!
01 October 2021 9:33
I dont know how we missed all the negative reviews, but they are accurate and this place borders on being a scam. It is not a resort; the yurts are worn, the grounds downright ugly in places, with a metal dumpsite 2 minutes from our yurt; in the heat of the summer the solar shower off with no source of water nearby, the nearby pond (?) fetid, the beach largely unaccessible for children, a shared bathroom with strangers when we all need to social distancing and to keep sanitizing because of Covid; noisy campers and highway very nearby;
Not to add, the so called quick stop for a washroom a box with a toilet lid on top, that smells of urine from the door.
We were so disappointed that we left early, after one night despite having paid for two. Its the new capitalism, dress it up online as a exciting and unusuak resort while providing no value for money. It is dillapidated, run down and on the cheap. Our screens on the door, obviously torn when we arrived, hastily fixed with sticky gum. A metaphor for this resort.
24 August 2021 19:07
Very disappointed! Never come back and recommend. In short, you pay for more than a hotel room but stay worse than in your own tent. Several rooms share Only one shower and toilet. No Hand soap or sanitizer in the washroom.

The room is very small and looks not clean with musty smell. The only facility in the room is a light. You can't charge your device in the room. The whole area is smelly, so thousands of mosquitoes fly around you. You need to pay for extra money for everything, like use the kayak, hot tub, even throw the garbage in the room ($25 for leaving the garbage in your room).

Hope they can improve service to match the price.
17 August 2021 23:15
I love this place.
A lot of these haters don't understand what is on offer here.
Truly unique grounds and accommodations is worth the price of admission. Bonus points if you actually get to know any of the fascinating adventurers, musicians and artists who spend their time here.
It's the perfect place to hunker down for a month or more to write, relax or recuperate from a messy world.
06 August 2021 11:57
Perched at what feels like the end of the earth is a true sanctuary. It's one of those places of inspiring beauty that brings the best out of people.there was music in the air and a feeling of instant community upon arrival. We'll be back again soon!
10 July 2021 11:57
Cabot Shores Wilderness Resort offers the perfect tranquil place to escape from the hustle and bustle for a Cape Breton weekend getaway. Whether you want to just kick back and relax or spend the day hiking nearby trails, or kayaking at the resort, you won't be disappointed! The yurts stay cozy all year round thanks to their wood stoves and be sure not to miss the stunning sunrise from the hot tub on the deck! The staff and owner are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend a trip to Cabot Shores anytime of year!
04 July 2021 7:31
The grounds are incredible. Staff were sooo accommodating and super friendly. Cannot wait to go back and stay in different yurts and try paddle boarding
22 May 2021 22:55
We had the best time! We stayed in The Forest Yurt and paid extra for the hot tub, so cozy! The staff was really friendly and so were our neighbors. For sure want to plan another trip there! Worth every penny.
19 May 2021 20:40
I stayed in the little sky yurt it was bad little space heater and one light and a bed hard on the back and the meals were breakfast an dinner that cost me $109.20 and they take their own tip $14.28 and 1 beer $6 and they take their own tip of $1.02 i don't mind tipping people but i do mind them taking it on their own it cost me $274.05 never again it was Highway robbery
02 September 2020 20:02
Amazing! We stayed in a Yurt which was above expectations, they are insulated and stay warm through the night, the beds are so comfy and the food is delicious and the scenery is so peaceful and calming. Everything is clean, the bathrooms included and the staff are so willing to help, we will be back 100%
22 August 2020 1:07
Avoid the camping, its a really beautiful spot but a lot more wild than depicted, with a 10 minute walk through the woods to reach any water etc. (and crazy mosquitos near the brook but that's nobodies fault). Also pretty pricey for the level of services you receive.we were told (after we had already checked in and set up) that we couldnt use any of the showers because they were overbooked and didnt have enough facilities for us (even though we were the only group staying in the campground that night). They did give us a shower in the end, but the place felt super disorganized and a bit run down (overgrown paths, garbages overflowing, had to drive around the perimeter of the resort because the road to the camp sites will kill your car), and I definitely felt like a second class guest compared to people in the more expensive accommodations.
13 August 2020 2:28
I am not one to leave reviews unless the accommodations are above and beyond. Unfortunately I feel as though these accommodations were the exact opposite.

During our stay at the Cabot Shore there were multiple things that were not okay, especially under the current global pandemic.

Cleanliness was absent in all areas of our stay. From finding live spider and ant nests in our accommodations, to bloody bug crime scenes that were not cleaned up between us and the previous guests.

The floors were not swept and included your normal dirt and dust, but also dead bugs and unfortunately previous guests snack crumbs that were not minimal.

The dust on objects in the room looked to have been there for an absurd amount of time. The cherry on top of our stay was finding someone else’s underwear in our dirty bed sheets.

I have been camping since before I could walk and love nature more than most people I know.but unfortunately this was not the wilderness resort I anticipated and was excited to experience.

**Additionally, a good friend of mine rented a Yurt the same weekend I was there, but upon arrival was told there were no yurts available? They were “upgraded” to a Chalet, but were told only to use half of it, as one half of the accommodations weren’t clean?

This is not a safe place to stay, especially during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. I sincerely hope the owners learn from this and can follow more closely with public heath guidelines.
04 August 2020 16:27
Beautiful views and friendly staff. Did not get a chance to sample their kitchen but from what I've read of the menu it sounds more than appetizing.
18 July 2020 5:41
Words can not Express the experience we had here. The grounds are breath taking. Staff are all so very friendly & welcoming as well. Everytime we go here, we never want to leave lol. The owners are all nice, treat everyone like family. I recommend this place 100 times over to anyone coming to our beautiful island!

Wedding review
We had a wonderful time at our wedding at Cabot Shores. It was a small wedding, about 30 people. We booked 3 big cabins and 2 yurts over 3 nights. The facilities were good and the lodge is a spectacular venue for putting your feet up by the fire or taking in some impromptu live music. Everyone had a fun and memorable time. Besides the wedding itself we kayaked and made fresh apple juice by hand from the apples in the orchard (it was fall).

The chef prepared our wedding meal and it was AMAZINGly delicious. Afterward we had live music and a dance in the 'Event Yurt' which is a massive and beautiful yurt. We really had the most amazing time. We're looking forward to visiting again for our honey moon!
16 March 2020 19:09
Stunning location and well equipped chalets!

Stayed during the winter and still lots to do. Hot tubs, snow shoeing, warm fires, and Ski Cape Smokey just down the road.
13 November 2019 3:56
My fiancée and I stayed in blue heron dome and had an amazing time, looking up at the stars from the bed and waking up to the sunrise was beautiful. We had a cedar hot tub that was perfect temperature and quite spacious. Apple trees all throughout the grounds were beautiful as well. There was even a path down to a cute little ferry we could pull ourselves across a stream to a beach and collect shells. To top it off all the employees were extremely friendly and gracious, will definitely be taking another trip back to stay again!
27 October 2019 10:57
The yurt we stayed in was in character and comfortable. We enjoyed a walk to the seacoast and some beachcombing too. Great time and good stop in the Cabot trail.
14 October 2019 3:51
Our stay in the blue Heron dome was beautiful! It had a view of the ocean and the mountains. Seeing the stars at night by our own private campfire was unforgettable
03 October 2019 21:57
Really not impressed with this place, particularly for the money. They put us in a room called the Tiny House, which was certainly tiny. That would have been OK except the bed was not much better than a $150 Ikea Futon. The bathroom had a shower fed from the sink taps that had virtually no pressure. Also the window in the bathroom didn't have a proper curtain but was half covered with a loosely nailed up bit of cloth. I had to ask for coffee and milk for the coffee maker. It was a cheap nasty little room for the price of a 4 star hotel. The wifi barely worked from our room. And the hot tub that was supposed to come with our room was not filled because apparently you have to ask for it to be filled the day before even though they don't tell you that.
28 September 2019 0:10
My fiance and I made a short notice booking here while on a road trip to finally see the east coast (Vancouverites here). We lucked out and were one of the first people to stay in their newly constructed tiny home! The tiny home is a bit bigger than maybe what most people see on tiny home shows because it is on a permanent structure and as an added bonus, it has a wrap around deck and porch that adds to the living space and is great to use in the morning or evening. There is even a private hottub on the deck. Paul and his wife are very accommodating and very approachable with any questions about the property and tiny home. They are very focused on sustainable energy and we love that they have new projects that they are eager to share about. Their website is also very well laid out and has some great information, but seeing everything in person is definitely worth it. The property is beautiful itself and has great hiking nearby with waterfalls, ocean and beautiful views. We recommend staying more than a day because you will be kicking yourself if you dont give yourself enough time to enjoy all this place has to offer!
26 September 2019 17:18
Staff was friendly and the main lodge clean, but wouldn’t camp here again. We left early from our reservation because the campsites are located next to a highway. The slow-moving Indian Brook also proved an excellent breeding ground for mosquitos, many more than surrounding campgrounds. We couldn’t even drive to the campsite because of very deep ruts in the steep, gravel road. Car camping became carry in, carry out to a rocky, unmaintained grassy lot at the edge of a resort.
22 September 2019 8:24
Wasn't the biggest fan unfortunately. Not everything is as advertised. Ordered the hot tub, which is $75, based on the pictures off their website and emails. Not what was advertised, was just a jacuzzi and if i had known that i couldn't have ordered it prior to arriving. Dinner was good but took forever. Breakfast was not really as described, a lot smaller. Beds were comfortable. I wouldn't return unfortunately.
20 September 2019 16:14
The coolest glamping! I wish I could go back so badly. We went with our 18month year old and stayed in orange yurt. It was just fabulous. Everything was. Food incredible. Stunning local scenery. Walks around the site are lovely. The ocean is here, the trees, river. It's just idyllic. Loved it.

This is not luxury camping this a unique way to be in nature and have amenities close by. It would be great for a group trip. There are music events going on as well.

We hope to return with our daughter when she is older:)
16 September 2019 20:21
Beautiful, 'off the beaten track' spot. The yurt experience was fun, even though we were there on the tail end of a hurricane, in October. It was warm and dry. The dinner was great, fresh not farmed salmon. There was a bit of a wait before dinner, and it was raining. So we visited artisan shops along the trail. Most spectacular was the Glass Artisans shop. Breakfast was not as expected, from their website I thought they catered to hikers etc.so breakfast would be hearty, high protein etc. But things ran out quickly, without replacement, and no interest in refilling stuff, + (the just 'take 1or 2' signs were ignored). Coffee was weak and old. Not a good start for a 'breakfast' person like me. The yurt, the locale, etc made up for this down side.
04 September 2019 2:59
My girlfriend and I booked the Domes just this past weekend for 2 nights, and what an incredible experience.

First off, the staff were extremely accommodating, showing us around the resort, checking on us throughout the weekend, bringing us water, showing us around the whole site. They took us right to our home for the weekend, gave us a few tips on where to go and what to see.

We went for dinner at their cute bistro inside the lodge, delicious food and the waiter was very friendly. He welcomed us to come back to the lodge at anytime, even to just sit and enjoy.

The morning was beautiful with the beach just a couple steps away from our dome. Breakfast was all fresh homemade food, it really felt quaint.

The staff really made it feel welcome and like you’re right at home. We will be returning same time next year!

Cabot shores is a fantastic getaway. I can't think of any negative thing to say other than caution that its not the cheapest.
My wife and I stayed in the Mongolian yurt. In the mid winter we enjoyed heating the tent with the wood stove thanks to the provided wood. For an extra fee you can access a personal hot tub which we did both nights.
The food at the main lodge was fantastic and the staff were very friendly and directed us to the little falls hike.
I would definitely return.
Minor complaints - 50 dollars a night for the hot tub seems a bit steep, and the bed was a bit small for two. Still if you're looking for a cozy winter getaway, it would be very hard to top.

This was a very nice place to stay, very unique. A few suggestions though: It is suggested that when you pay a good price for a Yurt that storage items not be in there give more space; it is suggested that when a two bed place is booked that both beds be made up - they were previously informed it was a father-daughter booking; it is highly recommended that they write on a menu that gratuity is added on and not tell them at the end of the stay when paying the entire visit (the tip would have been added anyway, but did not like to be told at the end that it was already added without our consent) ; and the last suggestion is for them to drop the price of the dinner - as it was overpriced.important to try and also cater to the locals.
These are only suggestions and I must state that my daughter and I had a wonderful time. They have a beautiful property and some very nice yurts. I was so surprised how nice and warm they were and it was cold and snowing when we stayed here. I would definitely come back here.

Two friends and myself booked a one nights stay in the moonlight yurt. The place looked fantastic on the website. Upon booking they immediately required personal information and tried to upsell us on a hot tub and dinner. At this point we already thought the price was steep enough so we opted out. Upon arrival to an old dated and faded sign and a rough gravel driveway we had our concerns. The grounds were very poorly maintained. We still decided to go ahead and paid them the full amount of $185 for the one night stay. It was a rough vehicle path to the yurt and we parked by an abanded vehicle that seemed hadn’t moved in years. The yurt itself was tidy but the location was overgrown and cramped with little room for a campfire. We had not rented a hot tub but the one there was small and grossly grown in with algae and would have been a disappointment. We decided this wasn’t the place for us and thankfully we were refunded our full amount and ended up spending the night at a gorgeous campground for a fraction of the cost. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Stayed in the Forest Yurt for 3 nights and it was an amazing experience. Everything was nice and clean and it was almost like camping in the forest. The stars at night as you enjoy a dip in the hot tub is an amazing experience. The food served at the main lodge is healthy and fresh especially the simple breakfast that they provide. The dinners cooked up by their resident chef Ron were superb, he is a master on the grill and his steaks are phenomenal. Don't look for 5 star accommodations here if you are not used to camping or roughing it you will be hard pressed to enjoy it, but if you like camping and want to experience the lifestyle of a Mongolian (sort of anyways) this is perfect. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the facilities were clean.
