Cabot Trail Motel & Cabot Restaurant

Just went for a Sunday after church breakfast. Very nice people good size portions and good coffee

My wife and I stayed during Hurricane Lee. Cathy & Everett we’re the perfect hosts. They care about their clientele. Cathy mentioned if we needed anything such as raincoats, flashlights just to let her know. Top notch!
From Marlene, Margaret at the front counter to the girls (Arlene, Bonnie & Erica) in the restaurant these girls were pleasant and friendly …kudos to all the staff.
The room was perfect, clean and smelled nice. The food either for breakfast or supper was fabulous. 2 thumbs up to the cooks.
I have mentioned to friends how great our stay was due to the owners and the staff and if they ever go (which some are planned to) to stay there. We will be back in 2024 to finish our east coast trip.

Great place to stay. Beautiful scenery of Bras dor Lakes, tasty food at their restaurant, friendly staff, good parking, no far from the town of Baddeck.

Rooms are dated but well cared for. Great views from most rooms. Bonus is the pool and the waterside firepit. Great value.

Always the best place to stay when visiting the Cabot Trail.
Rooms are clean and quiet, restaurant is great food and the water is a short walk down the hill to a dock for a swim.

Honestly I wish we had more time here. The lady at the counter was a pleasure the place is in a wonderful location. Down the road the town that was recommended was amazing, easy top 5 most remembered days with my wife. Will plan to return here and highly recommend.

This place is fantastic! I stayed here with my husband and son for a night before driving the cobott trail.
My husband was greated at the desk and they told him about the little village for us to check out. He said nicest people at the desk.
We got into our room it was perfect. We had 2 double beds. They have actual keys for the doors i loved that. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.
The bathroom looked like they had a newer tub in. It was clean and had some toiletries.
They had a pool we took our son to. It was great.
The views off the deck was beautiful.
Id recommend this place if you need a stop along the cobott trail.

It was a nice place to stay for two days to visit the Cabot trail, the staff are nice and the food was great. I recommend.

The Cabot Trail Motel is amazing. They have their own restaurant that does breakfast (7AM-11AM) and dinner (5PM-8PM). I had a classic Cabot Cheeseburger for dinner. Great view of the water from our room, and when we arrived the room was nice and clean. It was a perfect location for us because we are actually planning to ride the Cabot Trail. Outside Pool was nice but I went in at the wrong time (too cold). Great stay, and is recommended!

Super belle emplacement. Le personnel très sympathique et accueillant. Notre chambre était très propre avec air climatisé. Balcon avec grande porte. Le resto c est très bon et pas trop dispendieux.

We rented a little cabin and it was perfect. Bed was firm but comfy. It was clean, air conditioning was sweet. The view is absolutely beautiful and hanging out on the private dock at dusk is absolutely picturesque. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The price was fair but the best part was the breakfast. The next table over was the local police and they usually eat at the tastiest places in town. I am so glad I happened on this place. Would definitely stay again.

The owner of the hotel was positively wonderful and went out of her way for us, when we need help.we loved the place and the food was great. We would without a doubt recommend this gem stone. Hope to get back there again. The Jones

This is the friendliest place that I have ever stayed. The motel is great and the people are like family. We had a pleasant stay in a great room with a beautiful view of the Bras D'Or (lake.) The restaurant had the same great view and very good food.

We then had a personal disaster when our car suffered a catastrophic failure while we were 700 miles from home. The motel owners Cat and Everett and the rest of the staff were angels and went to heroic lengths to save us. Gert and the front desk sent her brother-in-law Richard to help get our car off the road and make sure that we were OK. Everett picked us up and brought us back to the motel. Cat arranged a tow to a repair shop (alas the car could not be fixed.) Cat arranged a rental car. Cat arranged our flights. Everett drove us 45 minutes to the rental car. They then saved us a huge one-way fee by retrieving the rental car from the airport 2 hours away.

I have traveled a lot and have seen many things. I have never seen this type of kindness. Gert, Margaret, and Marlene at the front desk were amazingly friendly and helpful. Our waitresses Erica and Bonnie were very friendly and great at their jobs. Our maid Joy was great and kept the room spotless.

I did not know any of these people until a few days ago, yet I feel like they are family. I have never written a review like this, but wanted people to know about these wonderful people at the Cabot Trail Motel. The weather was not great and our car died, but this was an unbelievable stay.

My husband and I had a wonderful peaceful time. The food was great, staff was very helpful and the price great plus the motel was very clean, the view excellent. Go visit this beautiful piece of Cape Breton Island, Canada.

What an awesome spot with a great view just next to baddeck. Highly recommend to stay. It’s restaurant has a great view. So sad I could not stay longer as I was looking forward to having breakfast there. The rooms are great and the price was a true deal. I would stay there if I get have to travel along Cabot’s trail again
