Nice cafe although it’s super small. We had to wait 15-20 mns to sit by the window. I believe it’s more meant to be a take away shop. The vegan breakfast sandwich was very nice (a tiny bit small) but very tasty. I haven’t tried the coffee but it looked very good. Staff is not the friendliest which is rare maybe we were just not lucky that day. Would give it another try for sure.

Such a sweet little cafe. There isn't much seating, but the staff, coffee, food, and atmosphere make up for that tenfold.

One of our go to spots, an integral part of the growing downtown Dartmouth food & beverage scene. Their new in house roasted coffee is fantastic, great variety of coffee making accessories and beans.

I just got a cappuccino from here and it is perfect. I spent a year in Melbourne and have been trying to find a Capp like they do there for years! I can honestly say I have only found one that impresses me once or twice in Halifax. This is one of them! Thank you!

Best place in the HRM for coffee and espresso. The Baristas are friendly and knowledgeable, the coffee drinks are amazing. Read a flavour profile of the coffee bean you’re drinking and BAM! They’ve nailed it! Lots of cool accessories for your resident coffee geek.

Friendly service, great coffee, and a great selection of local and handmade baked goods. A little bit cramped if youre sitting in.

This place is really popular because when I got there at 1 pm all the baked goods aside from the cookies were sold out.

The rye cookie was surprisingly amazing. The hint of rye paired with the soft chocolate was too good!

I'm not much of a coffee person, but visiting family and friends often enjoy stopping in to grab a drink and sample the wide variety of baked goods.

This is the best cafe in HRM. They have the best coffee on the bar and their espresso is dialled-in super tight. They sell the best, most interesting coffee beans from all over Canada. They also roast their own coffee and it is head-and-shoulders above any other local roasters. The staff are cool, the jammy buns are deadly, and the breakfast sandwich is so yummy.

I love this cafe! Hubby and I had a lovely breakfast date. Then we took home some pasta sauce, bagels and Kimchi. I am half Korean and must say that this is the best kimchi that I have had in Nova Scotia!

It was a very nice cozy place. Staff was friendly. My mocha was not to my taste but still enjoyed the experience. My kids liked their hot chocolate and cinnamon french toast latte.

Breakfast sandwich was so delicious, I’m surprised that there isn’t a lineup down the street. Also the eggy bun is worth a try.

Food and drink here is excellent. It is a little pricey, but I think it is worth it when you are looking for a special treat. Great baked goods, excellent lattes, gourmet ice cream and cream cheese are all personal favourites.

Staff are nice, but the service can be a little slow.

The atmosphere is fine. They sell a lot of product in a little space, so there isn't much area to move around if they are busy.

The food is incredibly fresh, the coffee is great, the staff are friendly. Stayed in Dartmouth and came here every day! Try the Eggies and the lox bagel if you get the chance:)

Nice staff, delicious baked goods everyday and a classic coffee menu with some fun twists and seasonal drinks, they have a few tables inside to sit at and also outside when the weather permits, they have such fun merch and other coffee related things to buy, they also have a fridge and a freeze full of fresh made soups and fruits and veggies and other stuff you should check out

Usually not one to do reviews, but this place is amazing! My latte was like drinking velvet perfection. The sesame chocolate chip cookie was so unique and delicious. And you could taste how fresh the chicken salad sandwich was. Will be back for sure!

A pretty good coffee shop in Dartmouth just around the block from where we were staying.

They offer a good selection of coffees and hot drinks, as well as baked goods.

We grabbed ourselves some drinks and snacks to go and, started our day trip on a high note.

I really do miss brunch. Been coming here since it opened and I’ve never had much of a complaint, just miss that breakfast sandwich. But other than that the coffee is perfect every time and they are always updating they’re selection of beans. I also love that they are always featuring local ingredients and products and you can get something different everyday if you like.

Coffee is good. People are nice. I mean what do you really want here? What is that you need? Why are you so demanding? Life is short.

Full disclosure: not a coffee drinker. However, my lovely wife is and she was delighted to find Transcend Coffee from Edmonton on brew here. Great spot to stop and walk downtown Dartmouth with a java or gelato in hand.

I have had breakfast sandwiches from here several times before, but today the one I received has gone drastically down hill. Skinny bagel, sliced processed cheese and I'm not even sure what type of bacon was on it. Bottom of sandwich was soggy (even though I took a bite 2 min after it came out of oven). 19 for two breakfast sandwiches of this quality is a disgrace. MacDonald breakfast sandwiches are 10 times better, and I don't even really like those! Not sure what has happened, but I won't be back again. It is a shame as Dartmouth doesn't have many options for a great breakfast sandwich and this place was once good.

All the baked goods I've had here have been so good, it's a very cute shop and the staff are so polite!

Get a scone. Don't mess up and get a SCONE! Trust me. Baked goods perfection. Best coffee on the Dartmouth side!

A beautiful cafe with incredible coffee and espresso. A large selection of 3rd wave coffee brands to buy, as well as gear and other staples.
When they are serving food it is a top notch brunch rivaling any fancy restaurant at a much more reasonable price.

That last one is pretty important.

Brunch, lunch and or dinner this place delivers delucious food that makes your mouth happy. Brunch on Sunday is my favourite time and there is always a great quiche dish on that is worth the wait.

This was an amazing find. First heard about it this morning and really happy we checked it out. Get the omlette, it was fantastic!

Always busy because the food is top notch. Try as many of their specialty drinks as you can, it's like having a personal barista giving you their own personal faves. How do they get their eggs perfect every time, I don't know. Keep going back for the menu features like their roasted tomatoes and in-house pastries. Love the little touches giving it a diner feel like the paper placemats and ordering at the counter. I hear they have dinner service now on weekends and I can't wait to give that a try because they've become my favourite brunch spot, hands down.

Showed up at 1: 01 to be told brunch finished at 1 and can no longer order from that part of the menu. I’ve worked in too many restaurants to not know this is bs and bad customer service.

What I ordered instead was okay. The server wasn’t taking any adjustments though and told me the next time I’m in I’ll know whether I like it or not and also know whether or not to order it.

Was recommended this place by a pal but I won’t be doing the same.

Woman serving us clearly hated her job and wanted nothing to do with us as customers. We were both speechless. Coffee was just ok. Back to Javablend I go. Coffee is 100 better, almost half the price and the service is awesome.

Met my granddaughter, At Cafe Good Luck around 12: 30 on a Sunday. All the tables were full! The smells from the kitchen were wonderful! We had just eaten and were here for a good cappuccino. Once you find a table you order at the counter. We ended up with a table outside and ordered our coffee. It came very quickly and we managed to enjoy it very much before it started to rain. The restaurant wasn't huge, maybe 8 tables, and we found one inside to have a nice chat, until the kitchen and restaurant closed at 3pm. The kitchen closes everyday at 3 but the restaurant stays open until 9pm. They are closed Mondays. I will return for more than just coffee on my next venture to Dartmouth. The breakfast/lunch meals were very tasty looking and everyone cleaned their plates. Can't wait to get back.

Menu consists of all your classic breakfast fare accented by some interesting dishes. Pleased by the attentive service and friendliness of staff. There is usually a wait but line moves relatively quickly due to quick service and turn over of clients. May leave the place smelling like grease though.

So impressed by this place. The ricotta toast was incredible. Not a ton of seating, but it sort of adds to the appeal. Everyone is very friendly and the owner buzzes around making sure you have a great experience. Would absolutely recommend for weekend brunch.

My best good Judy and I went to the cafe on a Monday morning for coffee and snack as we hadn't seen each other in ages; we loved the LL Bean catalogue vibes and boys who doted on us with coffee refills and water. I got to finish my entire beverage TWICE without any children asking me to get them a snack.
Also, morning buns. Try the morning buns, they're amazeballs.

Cafe Good Luck is a surprising place. Though tidy, it is unassuming at first. Like its decor, the menu and coffee are simple on the surface and exceptionally well-executed in detail. Just like the carefully-spaced Ikea window boxes on the wall, the breakfast sandwich has precisely the right elements done in just the right way. A delicately soft sous vide egg, a beautifully textured bun, toppings balanced just so in flavor. Everything else I've tried is similarly carefully planned and diligently pulled off. Spring for the lattke if you get the sandwich. The croque monsieur and madame are worth every penny. Know that all three are a mess. And absolutely save a buck for the chocolate cookies.

The crown jewel of downtown Dartmouth imo. Great espresso drinks, a revolving selection of the best pastries in the HRM, creative and modern twists on brunch classics. Wonderful staff too.

Favorite Cafe in Dartmouth! Exceptional food and service. A very nice place to relax with a coffee and a bite. The atmosphere is great and has amazing decor.

What a treat this spot is! So glad they are open till 8 on Thursdays now. I had the best cappuccino I've had in awhile here and the chocolate scone was amazing. Looking forward to many more trips to this cozy spot. A must try!

The food is delicious and thoughtfully prepared, I have yet to have a vegetarian quiche there I didn’t love and it is changed daily. I just tried the squash toast two days ago, then had to go back yesterday to have it again! Fantastic!
The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed.
The prices might seem high if you don’t enjoy their food but as someone who really does, the prices are pretty good.
I am so happy they are here in downtown Dartmouth, I hope they can survive and thrive in one of the toughest business fields there is!
