Cape and Cowl Comics and Collectibles

I felt so welcome here which is such an accomplishment when selling comics and hobby materials. Next time I visit Nova Scotia this shop will be top priority

Went there as a treat for myself for finishing the school year, I walked in and the owner was really nice and it was my first time, though now I realized I missed the game room because I got nervous, nothing about the store its just who I am for some reason when I am really excited I just get nervous. (Will definitely look at it next time I go though)

Stand-offish or aloof comic book owners are so common they're almost obligatory at this point and I've experienced my fair share, so being greeted by friendly and courteous folk like I am every time I come to Cape and Cowl is unbelievably refreshing. They may not always have what I'm looking for (I'm from out of town so I'm always a bit too late to the party), but they make every effort to accommodate, all while supporting local artists through the art on their walls and the books on their shelves. Always a lovely time visiting this place.

Awesome store for comic, boardgames collectibles and stuff you didn't know you needed. Jay the owner is a delight.

Jay (the owner) is an amazing person who goes out of his way to help his community on a daily basis.

The shop is well stocked, has a safe and quiet area for people that can get overwhelmed by sensory input (like my son and I).

There’s also home delivery depending on where you are.

Cape and Cowl is way more than a comic book store. Jay is a great businessman and cares about his community and has surrounded himself with unique commissions of art and crafts, collectibles and hard to find toys and video games as well. I always enjoy looking for lost treasures. 11/10 would recommend.

This place is amazing! The staff are so friendly and helpful. My son is 10 and asks ALOT of questions and they were so accommodating and kind. Great selection! Will definitely shop here again! Also they seem to be really involved in community stuff which is also very awesome!

Cape and Cowl is an amazing business. Jay has provided me with free comics for my high school classroom. He picked out games for us that were perfect! Jay is awesome with the children in our community.

As someone with disabilities I have never once felt othered and in fact, have felt wholeheartedly supported by Jay, Blaire, and the Cape & Cowl community. Because I am in a wheelchair, I don’t often get to go into the physical store, but they are super kind and accommodating to my needs in terms of online shopping, answering questions and offering suggestions via social, and have even have helped me out with local delivery in the past. Their kindness and inclusion frequently make me want to find reasons to review, recommend and shop at Cape and Cowl. Not to mention how much they give back! Brava!

This store and its owner are astoundingly great. There isn't enough letters in the alphabet to properly form a proper paragraph to describe how great Jay and Blair are. They are not simply pillers of the community, they are the stones on which the pillars stand.

A true community hub! Cape & Cowl is run by community-minded heroes- that have created a space that provides opportunities for community connection, support and advocacy through so many unique initiatives!

The safest geek space I have ever had the pleasure to enter. A true community staple in Lower Sackville, and all of the HRM. Jay is an angel & makes shopping comfortable for all. The wares are incredible & plentiful. Truly an amazing shop - a must see!

Cape and Cowl is more than a great comic shop—it’s a fabulous community support, owned and operated by humans who care about the health and safety of others. Sackville is lucky to have them.

Cape & Cowl is such a GREAT shop! They have books, toys, art, and items for every genre I can think of. The staff, and more over the owner, are all AMAZING people. They support others, they support the community, and they inspire others to follow their lead.

A really wonderful and amazing spot, C&C is a pillar of the geek community in Sackville and their staff are amazing, thoughtful and considerate human beings. C&C also showcases lots of local artists and participates a lot in the geeky community around Halifax. Everything about C&C is inspirational and amazing.

Jay and everyone else at Cape and Cowl are absolutely fantastic. The shop is always in great condition, always friendly and willing to help with anything you may need.

This is quite frankly the most inviting space in the HRM. The owner is genuinely passionate about what they do and cares deeply for their community. 10/10

Cape and cowl is amazing. I stumbled upon them during the conflict between teachers and the MacNeil government. They were amazing supporters of teachers. Jay was so kind to my son Lucas and offered business advice. It’s awesome and so are the people there
