Cape Breton University

Cape Breton University  (CBU) is a public university located in Sydney,  Nova Scotia, Canada. It is the only post-secondary degree-granting institution within the Cape Breton Regional Municipality and on Cape Breton Island. The university is enabled by the Cape Breton University Act passed by the Nova Scotia House of Assembly. Prior to this, CBU was enabled by the University College of Cape Breton Act  (amended). The University College of Cape Breton's Coat of Arms were registered with the Canadian Heraldic Authority on May 27,1995

I would certainly caution anyone considering an online program, through one of their satellite campuses. The instructors can be hit and miss, but it is mainly the challenges of administration and student finance, which create a nightmare. I have spent more time focused on hammering out their mistakes than on my schoolwork. Maybe the situation is different on campus.

Don't Don't Don't even think about coming here, I don't wanna be toxic, just making you a favor. There are guys sleeping at ATMs and Prayer halls, on top of that there are like literally no jobs whatsoever. You are foolish if u think you can survive that and a harsh winter coming up.

Looks like a joke to me. A friend of mine was trying to get an admission here. However, once we come to know that university prioritizes more on multiplex experience than education, we decided to back off!
Organization needs to be restructured and emphasized on providing quality education rather than incrementing their bank balances

Can anybody give me the honest views on this university or province. Is it a good University for Bachelor study in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering and during study is have a chance for part time work in the city as a Indian student?

What a dumpy diploma mill this place is. 70% international students… what a slap in the face to the community who made this hole in the wall possible.

This school is ruining Cape Breton by squeezing in as many international students in as possible and not caring about them at all.

I would have given more than 5 stars to this university if I could.great management, awesome professors, nice clean and spacious building, all in all a wonderful experience

Please when granted Admission what’s the initial deposit for international students from Nigeria please.

Fantastic university experience! The faculty and staff are hard working, dedicated educators, who take time with you and genuinely help you evolve as a student.

Lots of things to do and see, all while getting your degree on the most beautiful island in the world.

I graduated from here, it was a good intuition before.now it’s not, and it’s not the place for international student, I had seen students paying almost all their income just for rent, so think hard before taking a decision.

Such a shame! Big university but no management!
My visa got rejected and since then fighting to get my refund i have paid whole 1 year fees. I called them and they said they have more than 600 people who they have to refund and it will take more than 6 weeks. I have made request two month before i called them and still 6 week more. This is mot the way to do business. I am just hoping even if i get my refund.

This is a terrific place to get an education. The instructors are all accessible and eager to be of assistance and there's no shortage of other resources to allow you to succeed in your studies.

Your fellow students are able to assist in perform comrade ship and in general it's all pretty good.

Have already apply for supply chain management for September 2023 intake but when making a payment with my sister Mastercard, her name was included as payer instead of my name. Hope this will not disqualify me for offer letter from the institution.
And i want to know how it takes for offer letter to be out.

No Indians should be encouraged to go here. They are exploiting the mental and physical health of students and constantly torturing them. Request every Indian or people from any country not to enroll here. You're future is in your own hands, please don't enroll in this university and spoil your life.

Students beware! You guys going to attend classes in cineplex not in university however, you have to pay higher fees to attend classes in cinema halls i can assure you that its not fun if you have to use library and any lab you have to take another bus to go to university and get ready to pay higher fees and treated like this

If you're applying as an international student, take a look at some of the recent reviews for this school and read the CBC article about they putting students in a movie theatre instead of a classroom.
