Cape Forchu Lighthouse

Beautiful place and lighthouse. Climb to the top was a bit pricey $10 per person. Not too difficult and view is beautiful. Guide leads you to the top. Very nice young man. Lots of trails to follow but gift shop only open on weekends in September.

I've lived in NS off and on for over 40 years and I'm not sure how I missed this incredible place. Even the drive there is incredibly scenic. Not as touristy as Peggy's cove. Visit the gift shop and meet the friendly owner. Yarmouth is also a great place for eating seafood with a view of the harbour.

Fantastic rugged scenery. I enjoyed looking at the old photos and stories of past lighthouse keepers.

Cape Forchu is a beautiful, well maintained lighthouse with parking, a walking trail and gorgeous views. Big plans are in the works for additional amenities, food service and work to the light itself to allow visitors to climb to the top. UPDATE the light on open so you can climb up with a tour or on your own for a reasonable fee. It's a busy spot but we'll worth the time

Great lighthouse in Yarmouth even in bad weather. The adjacent museum is lovingly furnished. The staff are very nice.
The café is overrated. More like a self service store. You could do a lot more with this.

Unfortunately we didn't check the opening times. We visited on a Monday to find that it's closed that day

A very cool spot, with the ocean at your fingertips, and the sound of the waves rolling in, and the ocean fragrance. The warm summer sunshine and the waves crashing was a refreshing day at this location. Nature lovers will really enjoy this place for the visit.

A beautiful summer vacation spot to visit and enjoy the ocean and all its smells, sights, and sounds. With the sounds of seagulls, ocean waves, and a good afternoon picnic just relaxing in the summer warmth. All nature lovers will be refreshed with a visit to this place.

A nice spot. Unfortunately it was stormy and it rained. We were warmly welcomed and warmed up with a cup of coffee. Come back when the weather is better.

Stunning space! Little walking trails with lots of information to take in. Beautiful rock formations. I didn't actually go up the lighthouse but it is open to do so (for a small fee)

What an amazing place! This is a lighthouse that you can climb to explore the coastline of Nova Scotia. Overall its a best and well maintained place at the tail part of nova scotia. Must check weather forecast before visit. There’s a restaurant seating where you can bring your own lunch. There’s a gift shop and many more to explore.

Unique lighthouse with interior spiral staircase. Friendly staff. Superb grounds and trails for a walk around the lighthouse area. Trails provide some unique perspectives for photos. Definitely one of the top Atlantic Canadian lighthouses we have visited.

You can climb the lighthouse for 10$. Tours at 15$. A few trails to walk around. Benches everywhere.

Jay was a delight. I was lucky enough to get a one on one trip up the tower. We had some good laughs and a workout!

Interesting. Nice paths to walk. Light house is nice, a but smaller than expected. Costs 10 bucks to walk up. Small museum inside with tiny café.

The trail around the lighthouse is nice. The museum inside and the food store could get some rethinking
