Catch of the Bay Fish and Chip Boat

A little bit overwhelmed by the long weekend crowd but kept the orders coming. Delicious fried fish - crunchy and not greasy at all.

One of the best fish and chips in Nova Scotia! It's a tourist trap, sure, but the experience delivers! There is fish store inside the lighthouse that has tourist prices. Main event is the boat restaurant. Quick service with a beacon so you know when your order is ready. Amazing presentation with the fish sticking out of the box.

Locals order ahead of time, so it can mean a bit of a wait if you're ordering on the fly. Food is great though. Drinks have to be bought out of a bottle dispensing machine.

I had always loved this place and took a friend of mine there on July 28th for their first time. Well we both were so disappointed. Although the food was hot, it tasted terrible. Being from the south shore of Nova Scotia, I know how fresh haddock is supposed to be. This was definitely not fresh nor was it haddock. I will never return.

Everyone had fish and chips and all said 4.5 for sure. Looks amazing and price is very good as well. It came with a small vinegary coleslaw which I loved some didn’t love this mind of coleslaw

Had the Fundy Feast 3 which was the haddock and scallops. The battered scallops were the best I've ever had. Crispy and perfectly cooked inside. The haddock was good but very bland.

When traveling it is so hard to find places to eat that serve safe food for those with celiacs. This place was recommended so we stopped in on our way back to NB. It was fantastic! Real battered and deep fried fish (huge pieces) and fantastic fries. My son was so happy to have this treat that he ate the rest of my partners fish as well after he couldn't finish the large portions (I got the child size for myself and was very full from that). Service was great too, the girl at the counter/window was sweet and knowledgeable about the products and preparation. Also affordable, it averaged about $10 per person with what we ordered. We will definitely be stopping in again!

Lovely lunch, had a haddock sandwich and fries, big enough to share. Nice location, pretty, definitely touristy. Umbrellas over the tables really help because the day we were there was smoking hot! Lots of parking. Wish I'd brought a cooler to partake of the dishes inside the lighthouse. Would go again if in the area.

Not a bad spot. But there is no chance the fish is fresh. It comes fresh from the freezer with premade cardboard like batter. The Cole slaw and potato salad came in a vat from a factory. Barely edible. The fries were actually pretty decent and the clams were good. What kind of fish place gives you tartar sauce in a plastic single serve container from the Kraft factory? This place. Not impressed.

The batter was too tough for the knife! Really! The fries were tasteless.
What happened here? It went from excellent to a place I have no desire to return to.

We had a take out order for gluten free fish and chip and scallops. I could only take a picture of the empty containers. Everything was great.

Honestly unimpressed. Didn’t realize the price had gone up $10 PER meal since last year. 3 meals was almost $90. It’s a great place to stop if you’re a tourist that doesn’t know any better. $22.99 for a pound of fries and about 10 battered shrimp is insane. Not impressed. Won’t be back. It was crazy busy the food took over an hour and they had next to no condiments left that come with your meal. The staff are extremely hard working and we’re run off their feet. Only good thing I have to say about this place.

We have stopped by many times over the years including today and their fish and chips are top notch. Highly recommended!

No seating options. Had to wait 20 minutes for food. The fish and scallops are fantastic. Fries were ok. People were really nice.

Ate here last season during the late summer.

Floors were dirty, ketchup and other unknown stuff on the ground.

The portions were very small, expensive. Portions used to be bigger in recent years.

Food is good, service is good. Atmosphere nice when the sun is out!
