Chef Abod catered my father's 80th birthday party over the New Year's weekend, and everyone raved about how delicious the food was. They all wanted to know where it came from!

Fantastic Middle Eastern cuisine. I had the curried lamb shank and it was really good. We also had hummus topped with beef. Didn't have to wait long and the meal was great.

Ordered food for an office event the food was best. Delivery and communication were good. Food packaging was excellent.

We did an order of food for a working lunch. The delivery was on time, the items were complete and the food was great in quantity, taste and presentation.

I go absolutely bonkers for their lentil soup it is AMAZING especially if I’m not feeling well this soup is invigorating and delicious. 5 gum couldn’t do what this soup does

Brought some family here looking for food like back home. Difficult to find parking but that isn't their fault. Restaurant was nicely decorated and a good atmosphere. Service was a little slow considering there was only 1 other table there and they were already eating when we arrived. No followup quality checks were performed during the meal but server was polite. Appetizer plate was great. Mains were decent but could have been more flavorful. My guests rated the food 7/10 compared to back home in the middle east. Not bad by any means but a bit pricey for what it was.

Delivery person was friendly and very accommodating (considering we gave her the wrong room #!). Food was delicious and there was lots of it. Thanks!

I dont usually like to leave reviews especially to Halal restaurants, but every single time I go in there it’s either there’s some thing missing from my order or my order is uncooked and the meat is hard and I try my best to enjoy it still but it’s super hard to even finish my food even though I’m hungry. I got a shawarma this time, and the service was good but the chicken is very uncooked.
Please pay attention to cooking the meat

Delicious and authentic middle eastern cuisine, although on the expensive side. Only two parking spots available.

The food was just bland or tasted weird.

The "mandi" rice was either old or a weird cheap brand. Does not taste like mandi rice at all. I don't know how you can mess up something basic thing like rice in an arabic restaurant.

The chicken with the mandi was bland.

The lentil soup was ok. Something you make at home.

The salad was embarrassing for an arabic restaurant. It was just some cheap greens like those from a supermarket bag with a thousand island supermarket dressing. Just pure laziness. You can make a good arabic salad with minimum effort.

The Aryan drink was just bad.

Service was ok but could be better.

Barely any parking outside.

Ordered the Middle Eastern Buffet catering, chef abod was very friendly and accommodating. He made it stress free from ordering to pick up. Would recommend to anyone looking to feed them and their loved ones no any problem

Wonderful food, healthy, cleanest, very warm atmosphere.

One of the oldest restaurants for the Mediterranean food in Halifax. Chef Abod has a variety of Mediterranean foods with a very unique taste. All his products were Halal and Kosher so it is suitable for all. You can take your kids as there is alot of baby sets.

I am strongly suggesting this restaurant.

Ordered a catering for 20, everything was delivered on time, all in serving containers, along with tongs, spoons, etc. Everyone was raving about how much they loved the food. Love the salad dressing. Will order again

We have been to this restaurant many times but not for a couple years. We had brought a group of friends based on our recommendation. Unfortunately, the food was largely a miss this time. The hummus was totally lacking in flavour. We passed it around to the entire table and we all agreed that it was entirely bland. The fatayer which has increased in price by about $4 over the past few years was totally unacceptable. It was clearly just taken out the fridge and reheated in a microwave so the crust was unpleasantly soft rather than the lovely crispness we expected. Fortunately the Shish Taowq chicken was tender and delicious so no complaints there. The fish was overcooked. The service was friendly but largely inattentive which was surprising as the restaurant was basically empty. I’m pretty sure the main chef here who is amazing was not working as I would be very surprised the some of the food we were served was allowed to leave the kitchen.

Very good portions and the atmosphere is cozy and nice with Arabian vibes.

Oh did I mention the dedicated Keto menu?

Only downside for me is the service, the place seems understaffed so I had to go to the cashier every time I needed anything.

Used to be one of my favorite places but a lot have been changed since my last vist
Its way too expensive and very poor service
