A fantastic campground with excellent facilities: clean,) washrooms with private shower stalls electrical and water/septic for trailers. There are two great hiking trails right from the campground, a children's playground, a visitor information center, a gift shop and firewood for sale all rifhrnom sight.
Just a stone's throw from the gates to Cape Breaton Highlands National Park on the most beautiful stretch if the world-famous Cabot Trail (one of the most beautiful drives on the planet. Especially in mid-October when the leaves are at their fall peak).

Great amenities, serviced campsites not so. Campsite 50 was part of a row of stall campsites, tight spaces with no privacy. There appears to be other options with a little more space in an open field. Restrooms, showers, dishwashing stations all excellent. One surprise is no onsite laundry. You have to go to Cheticamp for laundry. Hiking trails were outstanding, we did Skyline and Acadian, Acadian can be accessed through the campsite

The fire pits are big. It can get a little crowded but it's to be expected mid season.

Camping here was like a dream! Absolutely beautiful and serene! Completely recommend this place for your next camping trip. You have an option of electric or non electric sites. Guided trails and natural views are amazing!

Tents / small campervan:
We booked last minute, meaning about 4 spots left to choose from. We had campsite 11.
CON: we were right next a to a sanitary bloc, lots of people coming and going by. Noisy campground.
PRO: our spot was huge, with lots of trees for shade / hanging.

Trailhead for Salmon Pools and Acadian hiking trails - both stunning. Close to town of Cheticamp for great food, music and more ocean views.

THE BAD: This is by far the worse RV park I have ever stayed. Tiny sites, no privacy at all.worse then a bad private campground. To give you an idea, from the windows of my RV I could easily see 30 other RVs (four rows side by side). The noise level in this campground is ridiculously hight. Basically we were like in the middle of a schoolyard. Way more privacy and tranquility "camping" at Walmart!

My children and myself and 2 siamese cats, one a tiny kitty stayed with Cheticamp Campground June 23,24,25. Lot 6 under a enormous gorgeous birch tree. Site has part sun and shade which I was looking for. Across the lane from bathroom, showers, and hot water sink for dishes. Minutes from the Cheticamp River. We had beautiful weather, it wasn't busy yet and the company was great. Awesome adventures!
