China King Buffet Restaurant

Food was horrible, Worst customer service, Not so clean utensils. I don't even want to give them one star and I will never suggest anyone to eat here. I really regret for going to this place

They had a kid working and he was probably no more then like 10 years old, I dont know what yall do in china but here in canada kids dont work under the ask of 18

We stopped by here for takeout on our way to Baddeck after a long day of driving. The staff was very kind, relaxed, and helpful. We ended up getting their buffet to go (you get to completely fill a takeout container with whatever you want from the buffet). The prices were very reasonable and there was a great selection to choose from.

This was the best and cheapest Chinese food I've had on Cape Breton Island! We also tried Chinese food in Sydney before we left and it was very expensive and felt like the food wasn't fresh and had a weird smell. But here, for 18.99 you can have over 25 types of food and desserts. I love wonton soup were so delicious with lots of meat. Chicken balls are filled with large chicken breasts, and the bones in the ribs were braised and crispy! They have an unlimited time and number of plates, and you can eat until you're full! We will eat here again if we get the chance and recommend it to those around us! Love here

The worst Chinese food we've ever had. Paid the $40 so we could get out of there and stopped for a burger up the road.

Food was delicious, good variety and service really nice! Even the price was descent. We gave a good tip because the staff was wonderful and we will definitely go again when we're in the area!

Love the buffet and staff/owners really good to see if everyone was enjoying everything and didn't need anything else.

The food was fantastic, all your stereotypical Canadian Chinese foods buffet style the lady that was running the place was a sweetheart the only issue I had was their whiskey was a little out of date.

Loved it! Went to the dinner buffet with my partner and we both agreed- best chicken balls we’ve had in a long time, good sauce and chicken to batter ratio Great variety for the price in my opinion, and very prompt in getting us seated, despite how busy they were. I am not from the area, but if I’m ever near Port Hawkesbury again I will definitely be going back!

Worst food we've ever eaten! Rancid taste! The soup tasted like greasy hot water with wonton balls of Grissol. We felt forced to eat it because of their policy of charging $10.00 for food left on your plates we will never eat there again!

Food was very quick and well prepared, staff was very friendly and willing to help even wtib the mask requirements the staff and restaurant functioned very well. Good quality food and service.

The food was not according to my taste I understand but the staff was great! It's a bit pricey because water and even fountain pop was not included in the buffet! Do I reccomend? Uh I don't know! It's just a bit tasteless for me!

The Buffett is amazing with a wide variety of choices all you can eat. You definitely leave with satisfaction.

Parking is good for the area.

The interior is well kept and as of the pandemic it is laid out with social distancing spacing in mind while the buffet line has been streamlined as well.

The options for the buffet are the way to go at $12.99 unless you are a senior citizen and can get the senior meal deal.

Overall our favorite thing was the soup dumplings. They dumplings were stuffed and the soup was delicious. It was light cabbage based soup.

Check it out if you want tasty, quick, and lots to eat.

I have eaten at the China King Buffet a handful of times and everytime we were met with kind, happy-to-help people, and great tasting food!
We usually order the buffet, which offers a variety of dishes, all of which are usually delicious, and fairly priced as well!
Their menu offers a few vegetarian options, as well as their buffet!
I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone that enjoys chinese cuisine.

Overall the service was decent and the food was as expected. To be fair, my visit occurred during “rush hour” so it was very busy. This isn’t a great spot to dine in during covid times as there isn’t a lot of room for proper physical distancing but overall I was very satisfied with the buffet. It was thoroughly and frequently re-stocked with lots of fresh dishes including dessert. I will return next time in Port Hawkesbury.

It's fairly standard american chinese. It's not the best but it caters to the small town clientele, so go in with that in mind.
For vegetable dishes, you're better off to go to the buffet. The takeout vegetable dishes are often overcooked. If you order takeout, just do yourself a favor and skip the vegetable dishes.

Food was not the greatest. Chicken balls had more dough than chicken.rice was flavorless.egg rolls weren't bad but greasy.did not enjoy at all! None of it

The fact that you can get the all you can eat buffet anyday of the week is my absolute favourite thing about this restaurant and it's always so delicious.

This is the best restaurant in town don’t let people tell you otherwise. The staff are very friendly and welcoming the new look is beautiful. Everyone that is leaving a nasty comment are just jealous that they can’t cook!

China King is doing a great job after reopening from COVID-19. Their staff provide exceptional service and their restaurant is very clean. I can appreciate this local staple for reasonable prices and quality food. Can't wait to visit again.

Buffet was great value, food was fresh and tasty. Some Chinese restaurants use too much oil or msg. This place doesn't overdo either. I really enjoyed their food and friendly service. Thumbs up.

Place has an "old" feel. Could definitely use some updating. Food wasnt bad. Buffet Wasnt worth $15. Ide go back if I was in port hawksberry but wouldnt go out of my way to return.

Always delicious, great prices and the friendliest service! My grandma and I stop for the lunch buffet now whenever we come to Port Hawkesbury!

Food was fresh this day, however the windows so need to be washed and the inside could use a fresh paint or something

In all my traveling I have never ate in a place as dirty as this place. I should have walked out but I didnt want to be rude.from the dirty ceiling fans to the old food laying on tables and floors.this was right out of the Texas chainsaw massacre. I'm surprised this place is open cuz ain't nooooo way this place is passing inspection
