Excellent lunch buffet for our bus tour group. Will definitely come back when back in the area. The seafood chowder was AWESOME!

I had the Jack Sparrow pasta with pesto rose alongside a root beer. The pasta was a little creamy for my taste (personal preference), but food here was fairly priced, generously portioned, and they provided a VERY generous amount of seafood. Each bite of pasta had crab, scallop, lobster, and everything in between.

Service was fantastic. Pop was unlimited refill which was much needed after hikes. Highly recommend a visit!

This place was bumpin’ at 6 PM on a Monday! Only a 15 minute wait to be seated, and they had a very organized wait list system. The food was excellent! We had the Lobster Sammy, The Ringer Burger, and the Cinnamon Skillet for dessert. Very impressed by the quality of food and service at this little spot on the highway. A must if you’re in the area!

We sat on the back patio with our dog. Plenty of RV parking on the side past the restaurant. Service was fantastic, Ringer Burger and Pan Fried Fish fantastic. Fresh cut fries.

Great food, great service, and great atmosphere. If you are hungry I highly suggest The Big Lebowski burger, it was huge and had high quality ingredients. When we come back to Cape Breton we will 100% be stopping in here a few times! (They also take debit for those wondering)

Unfortunately there is no mention of it but the apparently close to the public for 3-4 hours for tour buses, even when tour busses aren't there.

Great atmosphere and awesome food. The big elbow ski burger was awesome, waffle poutine and brownie ice cream desert was out of this world

I really liked the fancy poutine I had. Fish and chips were really good too! The dining room was sunny and had some personality to it. Server was super nice. Great place to stop for lunch.

The food exceeded my expectations, the server and staff were excellent. I don’t mind waiting 30 mins with a pint on the deck if the food is good, it was worth the wait. We will definitely go back next time we are in Cape Breton.

Delicious food here with a great staff who loves to make your meal even more delicious. What a great Seafood meal at this restaurant. Atleast try here once! Won't regret

Tried to eat here, according to our hotel and the website they were open only to arrive to find they closed. We visited on Oct 16 at 6pm, the restaurant had 2 people sitting inside and the door stayed they were closed prior to the posted closing time

If I could leave 10 stars I would. This lovely restaurant offers The "BEST" customer experience in every way possible.

Great food. Great staff Also, wanted to add love the shirts the staff wear, made me laugh. Was an amazing experience, food was so delicious and the apple crisp YUM. Was my first time in Nova Scotia, so beautiful and can't wait to come back. Definitely will dine here again. One of the best restaurants I've been too.

Excellent food and service! Our waiter went above and beyond to ensure our meal was enjoyable. Everyone on the staff was so friendly and nice, and the atmosphere was perfect on the patio. We got their ringer burger, seafood chowder, and chicken fingers. Seafood chowder is a must!

45 minute wait for food. Veg on plate was from frozen. Scallops okay but charged $4 More than menu. Big ripoff using the food network review.we are in the area for another note but will not go near this place
We did ask our server repeatedly about time repeatedly. Told it would be shortly. Perhaps more communication between the kitchen and staff. No one was served as well as us. Who should we have communicated with in the confusion of getting food

This place is awesome! Tiffany was out server and went out of her way to make our visit super enjoyable. The food was hot, tasty, quick (7 people) and fresh. Would totally recommend this place. I'll go back the next time I'm in the area.

Great little spot with good eats, craft brews and friendly service. The place gets busy so get there ahead of the rush. Seafood chowder hit the spot on a rainy day when we visited.

Nice atmosphere and friendly service. However, I was very disappointed with the battered scallops we had. They were small, a little over done and rather tasteless. I'd say previously frozen. My aunt had their seafood chowder and she loved it. Friend had fish & chips and he enjoyed them.

I had the Ringer burger that they are known for. And I have a new favorite burger and a must stop for any trip to cape Breton. Staff was super fast and friendly. I highly recommend checking them out.

Bust little spot. Had to wait for a table longer than they told us. Server was run off his feet busy and he kept up to the demand. He asked if we wanted to order for the kids right away.he must know they get Hangry! Food was pretty good.

2 stars for good service, but food is really bad. I NEVER review restaurants, but I never had worst food than here. My veggie wrap was filled with fake tostitos salsa, cold, dried up cheese.my husband ordered chowder with mussels and lobster.that was not good.chowder had no flavour, muscles dried up, lobster dried up, no flavour.my inlaws had salads.effortless pre-mixed salads with dried up shredded cheese and kraft dressing (not making this up, comes with tinny kraft dressing) You gotta stay away! Bad, bad food.sorry

Friendly staff and atmosphere. Some local beers on tap and some cider as well. Coffees and teas include free refills, which is appreciated. Service was a bit slow but it was busy on a Friday, I got the sense they were doing their best.

Good options here are the mussels (served with a butter sauce) and the mussel seafood chowder. The burgers are quite nice as well.

Fries are disappointing; while they are home-cut, they come out soggy and lack crunch. The poutine options are interesting, but they used shredded cheese instead of curds, this combined with the fries makes for a subpar experience. The grilled haddock is similarly lacking; it is seasoned simply, and comes out dry. The crab dip, also, was uninteresting, apparently tasting strongly of mayonnaise. Beware the fisherman's platter too; this is all deep fried, which may or may not be what you want.

Overall, the atmosphere is nice, and some dishes (burgers, mussels) are good, while others are lacking.

Ordered the Jack ‘n’ Dill burger with fries and couldn’t be happier. The staff are very friendly and would make the perfect spot for a bite along the Cabot Trail. There are picnic tables just outside so you can easily stop in if travelling with a dog like we were.

I'd give here a 3.5 based on a lunch visit on a Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend. My friend and I arrived right at about noon and there were others in their cars at the same time. I think this is a popular place for locals and tourists. I just noticed that they are closed for the season now, so it also being their last season of the year, that may have made it busier than usual. Anyway, very friendly service and we were seated at a table immediately. There may be about 10 tables in total/seating for 40-50? Basic pub with wooden tables, some random beer signs. It filled up immediately but there weren't many people waiting in line at that point, I think one family when we left at about 1: 00. Anyway, the food was quite good. I had their infamous 'Ringer' Burger (13.99 6ox burger topped with ringer sauce/a bbq sauce, onion rings, bacon & mozzarella). It was very moist, flavorful and satisfying with the best part being the presentation - it comes with a knife sticking into the bun - very murderesque! LOL) My friend had the Roast turkey dinner (17.99 traditional turkey served with cranberry sauce, homemade dressing, choice of potato). He got the mashed potato which was very good, there was also carrots & peas. He was very satisfied overall and had I not been so interested to see the burger, I would've probably had the turkey as well. Maybe next year! It also came with a choice of small dessert between a brownie and apple crisp. To be seasonable, obviously he got the crisp. I ended up eating more of it b/c he was too full. Tasty warm apple with good crunchy bits and perhaps a caramel sauce? Topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
They have no beers on tap, nor any local craft beers, so we just had a bottle of Keith's and a bottle of Coors Lite each.

Food was great, fresh and tasty. Awesome and very friendly service. Will visit again if we go to Cape Breton.

I ordered the seafood platter. One peice of fish
English style, three scallop, two shrimp a few clam pieces, soggy fries frozen mixed vegetables All over cooked and very unappealing. This is a hard review to write wanted it to be good.keep in mind this is during covid maybe they have fresh seafood source issue otherwiseitwould be 1.5 or 2 star.three other people with me had burgers and loved them. Service is five star.order there famous cinnamon to go. Very over priced tasted ok even at city

Pub atmosphere with great food. Server was really friendly and attentive. They had a musician singing some songs when we were there.

The Ringer burger was delicious! The lobster roll could be much better. I am guessing the lobster was frozen and they didn't squeeze the water out because it tasted wet and bland. The servers were very friendly.

Wonderful food! Would recommend a reservation if you're able, they're a busy place, and only have so many seats!
Also, not usually one to get dessert, but a friend talked me into it. Definitely worth saving room for (or unbuttoning pants for), only a couple options but all excellent.
