I wouldn't go anywhere else to have my blood taken. They are professional, friendly and compassionate. I rarely have to wait. The best thing is parking is only $1 / hour and there is always lots of space.

The Canadian health care system is doomed, wasted time, zero management, ineffective leadership, terrible resource allocation…. All protected by unions …. Waited 6 hours - left without service ….

Very long wait to see a doctor - but it was on a weekend and I expected to be there a long time. But I didn't think it would be 7.5 hours before I saw a doctor.

Took just shy of 4 hours, but sadly, I think that's the best turnaround I've ever had in a NS emergency dept. I was hesitant to go just because it's typically a 12 hour+ ordeal at most hospitals. 4 hours is acceptable, especially on a long weekend. In a perfect world i think 2 hours be normal to accomplish what most need. Every person in the chain there were very friendly and professional. Dr. Coleby really took the time to figure out what was going on and had me well on the mend just hours later. You're very lucky to have such an efficient and professional doctor to call upon to backfill vacations (I believe that's what she was doing).

It would be nice when you make a trip that you could get everything taken care of. I like you have to make to three more appointments. It makes no sense. It didn’t do anything the first time I was there for the second or the third if you take people off their meds, make sure you help them get back on it also. Even just be able to make family Doctors is what I’m talking about. Bring back the water fountain everyone’s dying just waiting to get into the hospital. It’s a basic right in the hospital does not provide water anymore or someone’s waiting die of dehydration. I can’t go five seconds without water so let’s keep the water fountains here is sticking your water bowl in Murray people watch dirty hands is gross.every doctor every hospital now are turning away patients so they can get another appointment to take longer cost more money. When people are struggling just to get there and then they get there and they turn your way. I could’ve swore it. It was against the law to turn away patients or people that need help. Oh, they say it’s backed up. Course is backed up. Nobody’s doing their job. Try to tell me I have to make an appointment to go. Give blood makes no sense you tell people where is it? Is it not beside each other not that hard if I can make an appointment do you really think I need help? I can do it myself you’re making it hard on with disabilities break the doctors don’t even understand or how to act around a patient with mental problems that they need your medication and won’t even let them talk and tell her what problems they have big five more appointments. Does it look like we have money for this or that or the parking to come back again no wonder you got 500 people sleeping on a baseball field in front of your hospital and also, you need more money for freaking rent because that ain’t enough.

This hospital has always treated me so kindly after a suicidal episode or attempt. They took me seriously and took care of me. Even though they aren’t open 24/7. They kept me overnight while I waited a transfer to the QEII. Thank you Cobequid for saving my life when the DGH did none of that:)

With all the negativity our health system is receiving, I would like to shine some positivity. On the 18th Dec I showed up at the emerg with chest pain. Within 5-10 mins I saw the triage nurse who then sent me to be registered. Shortly after I was in on a stretcher with IV's in both arms, 3 sprays of nitro, blood work done and seen by Dr Peppard (emerg Dr). I arrived around 11am and transported to HI emerg by 3pm. I was very impressed by the staff and would like to pass along my thanks to all the staff.

Long waiting time at the emergency is a common problem in Nova Scotia hospitals. Staffs are fine and accomodating but in general healthcare service needs improvement. I don't think its called emergency if you have to wait 4-6 hrs.

Just want to thank the staff at the ER on Friday night. Robyn and Dr Kennedy took their time and treated me for severe headpain and high BP. They took their time made sure they covered all options and I walked out of there pain free. Thanks again for all your help. ️

Hospitals can be tricky now.under staffed and over worker is an under statement and it’s become very obvious. I am 11 weeks pregnant and went to 2 different hospitals as I began bleeding very heavily and pain brought on shortly after. (Dartmouth general and QE11). I ended up here where I received answers and most importantly adequate care. The empathy that was shown by staff during this time of crisis was honestly humbling. Made me more emotional but in a good way. It was nice to see. After waiting 13 hours at QE11 and 9 hours at Dartmouth general.waiting 2.5 hours to see a dr here seemed like nothing. Thank you to the staff and emergency drs that work hard but still remember what it’s like to be the one sitting in one of those beds or chairs.

Great service at this hospital. They have their covid protocols in place and will ask you some screening questions and give you a mask to wear and ask you to remove if you have one on already. The online booking for xrays was such a time saver. I was in and out for my appointment in under 20 minutes. The registration staff were quick and efficient and the xray labtechs were friendly.

Very pathetic service. After waiting for over 10 hours now leaving without seeing the doctor. They have not provided any reason of why they don’t want to see my daughter. They have taken urine sample but no update after that even after so many requests/follow ups I made with the receptionist and nurses. They only have one update that if the doctor wants to see ur daughter then u will be called. My daughter having severe vomiting since last night. She is complaining constant pain in her tummy. She was hungry for 7 hours when I arrived at the hospital emergency and when we left after wasting whole day it was over 17 hours that she was hungry. I didn’t eat anything as well during that time because of her can’t eat right now.

Yesterday I went into anaphylactic shock. Staff was very quick, kind and reassuring. The nurses, emt and doctor worked fast, made me comfortable and were so kind in what could have been a deadly reaction. I will forever be grateful

The government is pathetic and should have enough health care staff to serve people. It's the lack of staff, that's the problem.

Two and a half hours and still no idea when I can see a doctor. Asked if they had an eta and was told "when it's my turn".
EDIT- I got in shortly after and the RN was amazing! She was incredibly attentive and very helpful! The 5 stars are for RN Caroline.

Anyone who gives the healthcare system anything less than a 5 star is a monster. Get over yourselves. The healthcare system is overstretched. Get vaccinated, practice preventative practices, and you won’t have to visit the hospital so much.

Nice enough people working here, but if you like waiting around for 6+ hrs just to be told to go into halifax or Dartmouth than this is the spot to be.

People who work here are snotty as anything.ridiculous when people come in scared and the triage nurse has nothing but a snotty attitude.pathetic for them to act this way working in a hospital, grow up.

I find cobequid is a amazing hospital. I had a problem with my stomach for 6 months and I went to the Dartmouth general and the iwk and they didn’t help they basically told me it was all in my head. So I went to the cobequid and they actually helped me so much. I don’t have my problem anymore because of them️️

After waiting for 3 hours and telling the nurse that my pain is getting worse and I cannot sit any longer on the chair, she replied you can go home if u want to but I can’t tell how much longer you have to wait.
So that’s how they treat patients

It turned out to be nothing, but I was scared and aloun when I went to the emergency department. They did everything they could to help me and were very understanding and kind. Thanks guys.

Wait for the emergency room is absolutely disgusting.been waiting 5 hours and i am still waiting in the emergency room.it is 1 in the morning and i have to work tomorrow (which is now today). Not very impressed at all.

Service was quite timely. Doctor was excellent, as was his determination. Triage nurse was cranky, even snappy, then apologized citing her stressful job.

First time at Cobequid ER and I can’t praise them enough. Professional service in timely manner, friendly & courteous. Great team work.
