Colchester East Hants Health Centre

Was very ill with the Srv virus (which I found out later) and a major lung infection. We only waited three hours in the waiting room NP Glenna Gallant and nurse Claire were awesome. They got down to treatment immediately. December 23/23

Demanded my partner leave the room for me to be seen alone by a male doctor and refused to let me see a female doctor.we ended up leaving with no services after a 2 hour wait.i had a concussion and was pregnant

Staff were very pleasant, wait times are long.

Cleanliness on the other hand is next to none. ER waiting room was filthy. Garbage on the floor, cigarette butts, food.

Worse hospital ever! Never go here even in emergency. No matter how severe the problem you will be waiting hours only to wait hours more. The nurses are very nice and
very good at their job if you can ever actually see one. Some worker are rude and treat patients like trash but most nurse are very nice but just awful experience everything I go

Went in with stomach trauma from a 4 wheeler accident, sat in the waiting room for over 10 hours before seeing a doctor, and the triage nurse didn't give 2 shots about anyone waiting.

Update- only have 1 doctor working for 6 hours. Have now been here for 12+ hours, have not been giving any info on whats going on.

Went in for a severe asthma attack and lung issues that I was dealing with for a week. The respiratory therapist wanted to get an X-ray (we had no issues with her). But the doctor decided I was just taking my inhalers wrong and sent me off with only inhalers to take for 48 hours. She stated that I did not need an X-ray because my lungs didn’t sound like there was a collapse or anything pressing. I have been taking inhalers since I was 5 years old so I am sure that although I may not have taken them perfectly that there was more going on with my lungs. I ended up hospitalized again two weeks later as I was just getting worse but decided to visit the Cobequid hospital instead. They were visibly shocked that I was sent home from Truro without more treatment. They had me on an 8 hour watch and are treating me for a lung infection that was missed by the doctor at Truro who clearly wanted me out quickly. I have finally started some prescriptions and for the first time in three weeks am starting to feel normal again. I understand that the ER is so busy and too many people who genuinely don’t need to be there are slowing things down. But I had a real problem that was not going to go away without treatment that could have damaged my lungs. Please take the time to truly listen to your patients.

Please dont come to this hospital for help they don't care how bad of pain your in i waited 8 hours to meet a doctor and no doctor showed up in the 8 hours i waited so i walked out best cure to get there at that hospital and i also never asked for a meal they should of asked me if i wanted one first i am so disappointed about how i never got help all they want is a paycheck

Useless hospital with the most useless staff they rather watch you die or suffer than actually help you. You’ll be better off not going there, half the doctors don’t know their feet from their hands.

Worst ER I’ve been too. Waiting room way too small. Hand you a mask with salad utensils but have to sit on top of each other anyways. Nowhere to get a drink. Triage system very unorganized.

Phase 2 of review. Somebody is going to die in that hospital waiting for triage.

In on Sunday to visit Mom I was told by Registrated Nurse in charge of Mom's care that they do not walk clients. Told that is physios job. About 15 nurses sitting in the nurses station. Mom's breakfast tray was sitting the table which she could not reach, untouched.

Excellent experience with Ultrasound appt today. On time and wonderful friendly professional technician.wish I had got her name.she was wearing an all yellow uniform. Excellent experience.super 'bedside' manner.couldn't have been better! Thank you A +

I just want to say thank you to all the wonderful health care professionals who looked after me in a timely manner. Even the commissioner encouraged me to stay despite a full room.roomwaiting.

Waited one night 12 hours in total with double vision and numbness down my side after 8 hours got a ct scan and blood work. Doctor said will need to return for a mri, but if anything changes to return. Next day returned because my face begin to droop waited 6 hours and when I asked the nurse why there’s no rush she said the health care system is slow and you already had a ct.nurse basically suggested I should just leave when the doctor night before insisted I returned if something like this happen. So now I’m just going to hope I don’t have further brain damage or die. Thanks you Truro hospital

Please don't come to this hospital, the waiting time is super long. The doctor has no sense of responsibility, starts to lie to you from the front desk, will not tell you the correct queuing time, and will not care whether you are wasting your time. I don’t know why these doctors and nurses without medical ethics can become doctors, why they let patients wait outside, but you are just lazy inside. There are only 10 patients in total, can't you rest after watching it?

I have had 2 colonoscopies in the Day Procedures part of this hospital and they were superb. Friendly nursing staff, a streamlined process, excellent care, a superb Doctor, and a great facility with easy paid parking. I would rather drive here from Halifax than drive into downtown Halifax.

Good clean hospital with friendly staff yes wait times are a little extreme. But they are just short staffed is all another failure by Trudeau government. Maybe put another tv at the other end of waiting room and some vending machines would be nice.

Nurses were fantastic. Samantha was very informative and willing to answer all the questions. And the deer grazing along side the driveway was peaceful

Don’t even waste your time; absolutely garbage.you will wait over 10 hours every single time for absolutely no reason.the building has more useless, half asleep, security guards than doctors and nurses.definitely worth driving to halifax or pictou.
