And breakfast was amazing with its selection and the young woman by the name of Kathy greeted us with the biggest friendliest smile.

This hotel was not worth what they charged us for one night. The pool was not heated, even though it was advertised as such. The hotel is located directly next to the train tracks. The room we stayed in had a maintenance room next to it that made constant noise, including a high-pitched beeping, that made it impossible to sleep. The continental breakfast was sub-par, and the breakfast room was so small and crowded that there was no room for us to sit down.

The bad things- the smell of the room was awful, damp and musty even after having left the window wide open for 8 hours. Horrible. Breakfast prepare to duke it out mad max style to get any food as we got there at 915 (ends at 10) no potatoes and breakfast meat almost finished. I asked if any more potatoes were coming and the answer, and I quote from the worker was "potatoes aren't a requirement for breakfast" probably ignorant answer I have ever heard rather than simply saying we ran out which was the situation. On a date when the hotel was sold out for exorbitant prices for a subpar hotel maybe they should have planned to have enough food for breakfast to last at least close to 10am. If I had paid half the amount for the hotel than I did it may have been worth that but for $313 I have stayed in luxury places in other places with beautiful clean accomodations and well stocked gourmet breakfast. This place is absolutely not worth the price find elsewhere.
The good things- good location off the highway and showers were decent and the front desk staff were polite enough

Pour ma part j'ai bien aimé la façon dont j'ai été reçue. Quand je demandais des informations à la réception il fallait que sorte mon anglais mais, j'ai toujours été bien répondue. La seule chose que je regrette c'est que le piston de la porte était tellement mal ajusté qui faisait claquer la porte mais, la propreté était bien parfaite. Pour finir la chaleur de la piscine était parfaite mais, selon ma blonde elle manquait de propreté et les vitres manquaient de teinture.

We got a nice big room with a balcony that was right on the water. The walls were very thin so you could hear people talking in adjacent rooms.
The breakfast was quite extensive.

We had a great stay at the Halifax Comfort Inn. The bed was super comfortable, the bathrooms were newly renovated, and the shower was terrific. We enjoyed the 15 minute drive south, beside the Basin, when we went downtown.

Very dissapointing.
We happened to be in Halifax during the NAIG. The hotel certainly took advantage of it.
5 star prices for 2 star hotel.
We stayed 3 nights, never had the room cleaned and had to go to the front desk every time we needed clean towels.

Nice location. Disabled accommodations are a problem. We asked for a 1st floor room. 1st floor meant dragging our suitcases up two sets of 5 steps. Room had a funny smell to it. Several issues with the room - see pics. Hanging wires from ceiling fixtures. No handicap doors to hotel.

The person at the front desk was really sweet, my husband and I both commented on how nice she was. The room was OK, cramped feeling, but it did the trick.

**We do have to make note that the pool was filthy. We were hoping to have a late night swim but were completely grossed out by the state of the water and quickly went back to our room. The water was so dirty it was murky and you could see hair and lougies floating on the surface.like, come on!

I see that my review got taken down, Went to stay at this hotel, only to find out that they will not take cash and charge a fee for the use of the debt machine, please be aware that the fee is $150.00 for using debt. They don't disclose that amount, at first. This is a fee that is on top of the hotel room cost.

Found outside to the metropolitan Halifax area, it is a bit out of the ways if you plan to visit Halifax but good if you want to avoid the congested city. Visited there during the low season (April) and during renovations. Initial front desk staff upon checkin was friendly. The key did not work initially. Upon return to the desk, staff reprogrammed the key and stated she will watch me via the camera and come to me if she saw the key did not work again.

Room was large enough with a fridge and microwave. Washroom was nice except for the issue I had with the establishment- there was a pair of used panties hanging from the shower rod. I told the front desk (with a staff change) and the girl did not seem to really care with little apology. She did come to the room and took the panties away.

Included breakfast buffet was better than expected and a better than average waffle mix. In the lobby, there is coffee, hot water and lemon water available at all times.

The pool is relatively small and too cold for the kids- to the point they decided to get out after 5 min.

Price is decent for what is given, especially due to the breakfast. Would stay here again if in the area.

Great place to stay. Staff are very polite, friendly and helping. Cherry on the cake is Owner. Owners are very humble and co-operative. I love this place and recommend to choose as first priority.

Don't let the price fool you: this place is poor value for money. I booked a room a month ago for a conference. On our drive in, we received a strange phone call demanding we give a new credit card number to charge for our room as ours was declined: knowing I was nowhere near my limit, I found this strange. When we said we were uncomfortable doing this over the phone but would be there within the hour, the caller stated that they would give our room away if we didn't call back within 20 minutes with a new card. Of course, alarm bells were ringing and we assumed this was a scam - so I called the main number and found out that, no, this was apparently the receptionist's actual approach! I remained uncomfortable giving my information over the phone to someone who was so hostile and unprofessional. We had to change our plans to arrive early: while there had been a mistake with our card's expiry number, the representative didn't once apologize for threatening to give our room away nor for her approach. Our entire evening itinerary had to change to accommodate this person's behaviour and there wasn't one breath of an apology or explanation.

Beyond the miserable customer service, the room was uncomfortable: it was 29 degrees when we entered and, as it is cooled by an air conditioning unit built into the wall, anytime someone went outside to smoke, our entire room smelled like cigarettes. The hotel is dingy and grimy. The TV barely worked and needed a complex algorithm to produce anything beyond static. The rooms didn't even have a pad of paper and a pen. The hot breakfast was functionally inedible. It was an uncomfortable, unpleasant stay and I strongly recommend anyone considering this place to run in the other direction.

Hotel service is grate, staff friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean, will do house keeping when asked.

They have elevator, pool and good view of Harbour.

My grandparents stayed here for 5 days. The room was clean and the building was updated.
However, when they came home one evening, having been gone for 12 hours, their main room door was ajar. When they inquired with the front desk, management said they’d talk to the staff responsible. My grandparents were extremely worried as they had left their ID and camera in the room. We never heard about it again and we were very worried and upset.
Moreover, their room keys did not work to open the side door and twice I had to run down and ask staff to refresh the keys so they could get in. If it was after hours I don’t know how they would have gotten inside.
I don’t like to leave negative reviews but in all my grandparents travels, their room door has never been left open by staff before.

First, this place is too expensive for what you get. Second, I wouldn't call this an Inn. I recently stayed here for 2 nights. I booked it online and it was a bit misreading. It is on a busy street that is mostly commercial. I could barely see the harbour from the window. However, the room seemed clean and in decent condition. The owner must think the indoor pool is a big selling point but I had no use for it. They did offer continental breakfast but not much else.

My stay here was so comfortable, breakfast was great. It has a very nice view of basin! Customer service is so good!

Not sure what you'd expect from a hotel on the side of a Highway, the breakfast was good, the staff was friendly and great to talk to, lots of delivery options from Bedford for food so don't worry about not having much near there. There was a nice rocky beach across the highway to walk along and a convenience store and Korean fried chicken shop not far down the street.

The pull-out bed was not changed we ended up having to do it. We had one towel for three people to shower with and when we asked for more towels that there's three people in this room they gave us ONE more

The room I had was dirty. Bed had bugs (not bed bugs) lots of lose hair. The sheets and blankets where stained also found a cigarette butt tucked in the bed. Will not recommend. Lots of cleaner hotels for better price.

The pics are my room when I arrived, stained furniture and I'm not sure the beds were made fresh. Disappointing at $253 a night!

Called to make sure they weren’t going to charge me extra since I paid with my credit card online for the room, show up and they say I owe 250$ Could only be paid with credit card.wouldn’t have even booked here. Most places charge 100 a night damage deposit, but when something is booked with credit card shouldn’t be a problem. Should not have to charge 400 for a night stay

Rooms not very clean and very outdated, water stains over ceiling from leaks, parking not very good if drive anything bigger, no shower pressure and for $209 you could get a very nice room elsewhere, $99 room here at very best, they told me they hoped I’d come back for another stay, that won’t be happening

It’s was gross. The mirror was dirty there was brown gunk running down the door the paint was peeling there was a $500 down payment the heater and AC were broken the sheets were stained there was a hole in the roof I don’t recommend this hotel that’s for sure

The windows in the pool room are stuck open and the crank to close them is broke off making them unable to close leaving the room to cold to enjoy your swim.
They had to switch my room after checking me into one that had a broken TV n the door of my room would not lock so they then had to have me relocate into another room having to pack n move all my luggage into another room.

It was very friendly and very clean. Breakfast was very good. Staff extremely helpful. We had free WiFi and it was very quiet and the parking was in excellent condition. We had a wonderful breakfast supplied with our stay overnight.

Staff this time seem bothered when helping guests. I know it hasn't been easy during these times but you can practically hear them groaning to get off the couch to go to the desk to help out.

It's a excellent place to stay in and around Halifax without complexity of negotiating downtown.

Door jams aren't flush inside room so the doors don't shut. Units deadbolt didn't work. Guests and employees not wearing masks in common areas. Vending machines empty and some of the selections you make give you the wrong stuff. There was a chair and ottoman in our room that we were pretty sure were covered in cum stains. It was a double room unit, one bed had a bed bug cover and the other didn't for some reason. Unit also had 2 televisions one for each room and only 1 worked properly.

Cute hotel right where I needed it to be and dog friendly. My room was spacious and clean. Minor issues the first day but were taken care of immediately. Breakfast was OK but I blame covid for that. Except the fresh baked cookie was great! And they were nice enough to give me an extra bag of breakfast for my long drive home. I loved the ice lemon water in the lobby. Staff was great and always smiling and chatty. Not sure every room has it but, having a sink next to the fridge and microwave is really handy! Loved the walking trail behind the hotel and so did my dog. The front porch is a great place to watch the sunrise. My only complaint was the indoor pool was cold.

Room was very old chair arms were disgustingly full of grease and dirt had two bedrooms second had no air conditioning breakfast was a frozen sandwich the tv had no hdmi cable to connect it to cable tv. But the bed was clean and comfortable.

The owner is fantastic and takes pride in his hotel. The staff are very accommodating and pleasant and everyone there follow the covid rules. There are walking trails and a terrific view.a great experience indeed

I want to say thank you again to Sylvia for being so accommodating. I got there after midnight wanting a room after having a terrible experience with air bnb and she gave me cookies and made my night! Besides great staff it's very clean and modern with great amenities and location. Thank you:)

The Owners and staff are so friendly and accommodating! The room was very nice with all of the amenities that I could want. Excellent location with beautiful views. I would highly recommend this hotel! I will be back once Covid is over to try the gorgeous indoor pool. You will not be disappointed with your stay here.

Aweful. The first room fridge was broken.second room a mouse ran across the floor and no ac. Upgraded to a king bed with a giant carpenter ant walking across the bed. Dont stay here.after 3 room changes and late check in the room should have been free. Never again comfort inn.keep driving people

Best place in whole Halifax and also the service is best and the environment is calm and also the view from motel is very good.

We have stayed at this location twice in the past few months.a nice get away.both the young fella that works the front desk as well as the new owners are awesome.always a joy to talk to.and to top it off just received a beautiful Christmas card from them and it was hand signed.thank you and will be back once things due to COVID slow down thank you from the Macmillan's

My experience here was good for the most part. However, I did not like the fact that the pool is located near the side entrance. When it is in use, children going in and out of the pool are loud and dripping water on the floor. This is a safety issue.

They helped when we were in a bind the first time we stayed and ended up falling in love with the hotel. We stayed another night this past weekend and ended up being the best weekend.

This hotel cancelled on me and my wife my daughter with less than 24 hour notice very rude people will never book with them

Normally love this place as they have a couple jacuzzi suites. However after calling them and asking if they were availiable and being told yes. We tried to book and then being told they werent availiable literally 2 seconds later. Very upsetting.

I can’t say enough things about my 5 day stay. Not only does the property boasts beautiful sunrise and sunset water views from the front porch but also from the dining room where they serve a delicious hot breakfast with ample hot options, fresh fruit and dairy. The rooms were clean and the service staff were happy to provide fresh towels etc.

Dipika at the front desk was so sweet and accommodating, she truly made our stay a pleasant and enjoyable one.

My nephew lost his tooth while at breakfast one morning and the kitchen lady was generous in offering her help to search for it.

Nishita and her husband were so very nice to us and our extended family who came to visit us on our last night. They offered us to use the dining room to eat our ordered pizza. I was very thankful for this.

You can tell that the staff here are very happy with their jobs and in-turn show their appreciation to their customers.

We will definitely be back and will be recommending this hotel to our friends and family.

Was my first time staying there so it wasn't bad. The room I stayed in was a nice size. Bathroom wasn't the biggest as I'm a big guy. Service was good, and will probably be staying there in the future.

Great front desk staff. Took care of everything we needed after a 12 hour drive. Will definitely be back when we're in town again.

Kept up from 12 to 2 am by domestic dispute in the room next door.
No one did anything until I called the front desk and offered to call the police for them.
I was visiting for rest and relaxation and got neither. It shouldn’t take a threat to call police to initiate action.

Beautiful spot but our room wasn't that clean. First noticed hair all in the bathroom up the walls short dark hair then we took the coffee maker to make tea and there was still coffee in it from someone else. Then our towelsand face clothes had little hairs on them. The fridge was dirty. Just overly not a clean spot.

Wonderful hotel! Rooms are clean, staff are friendly and the breakfast has such a good selection! We had a beautiful view of the Bedford Basin from our room and from the breakfast area. The trip downtown only takes about 15min, just try to avoid rush hour

Really great place! Free upgrade, great room, with a view, comfy bed. Pool was cold when we visited, not sure what the issue was and breakfast was fantastic!

They upgraded us before we even got there. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

The hotel is very adorable and I just wanted to sit on the verandah with my coffee all day! The front desk staff have went above and beyond and were so friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and the beds are SO comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful hotel in Bedford, my sister spent her before wedding time here and the room was beautiful, had an amazing bathroom with a huge jacuzzi tub and comfortable beds, the lay out is nice as there’s not many stairs. Highly recommended too anyone

While the hurricane was hitting the area, and the hotel where I was for 1 night would not book me another night, this Comfort Inn took me in and they did their best to make that stay as best as they could, in spite of the power outage that affected the whole area. The owners ordered pizza for all that were staying with them Saturday night since people were a bit weary to go outside to get food, and they ordered coffee from Tim Hortons on Sunday morning since power was still out in the area. The folks who work there are great and very helpful. I was positively impressed.

Beautiful location across the ocean. Approximately 10 minute drive to downtown. Easy access to the local bus/transit. Clean hotel.my kids enjoyed the warm indoor pool. Friendly staff! I would definitely recommend this place.

Quiet and clean hotel in a great location. We stayed in a 2 queen room. The breakfast really is worth the hype they put up on the front sign. There is also the Esquire restaurant right close that is a great spot to eat. The rooms are large and clean. They do not have walk in showers but they have a large tub in the room. Our room did not have a great view but there is a fantastic front porch with a beautiful view of the water where you can have drinks or smoke. The pool is quite small, mostly good for a short sit but not for laps or anything like that. Would definitely go back next time we are in Halifax.

Spent the night with a family on our first ever visit to Nova Scotia. The hospitality of the staff earned them an extra star.
The rooms were clean, beds and sheets clean, bathrooms clean _ everything appeared clean. They provided decent breakfast, reasonable WiFi speed, and a beautiful view of the lake from my room.
I really could have stayed longer.

I cannot say enough how pleasantly surprised I was about this location. Simply enough, the service was genuinely friendly and accommodating and the entire premises including rooms were very clean, fresh and welcoming. Don't underestimate this Comfort Inn!

Booked it with points, didn't expect much but was pleasantly suprised. Clean comfy beds, awesome breakfast and a brand new pool; and to top it off, a wicked latte machine in the lobby. Everything looked new.

Handy location in Bedford; close to airport, close to Bayer's Lake area and close to Halifax. Right off hwy 101 & 102 junction, and on the #80 bus route to downtown Halifax.

Pool was closed for repairs, we should have been informed of this when we booked. Room was clean and comfortable

Tracey, one of the chamber maids is amazing. Always that extra little touch to brighten your day. The exercise area needs some attention, not working properly. Either fix it or get rid of it, just saying. Front desk was very accommodating on all requests. And the morning breakfast is very good. Only issue is the small sets of stairs to each room, makes it difficult to use rolling luggage. Very clean and quiet.

The few times we have stayed here have always been great. The rooms are nice and the staff are friendly and very helpful.
