Cora Breakfast and Lunch

Come on Cora’s. You have one meal to get it right. Cold scrambled eggs. Greasy bacon. Undercooked pancakes. Old and tired restaurant and worst breakfast I’ve ever had in Halifax.

Chez Cora never disappoints. Food was great as always, and our server had a great sense of humour.

A wonderful breakfast experience. The staff are pleasant and food prepared tastefully with a appetizing presentation. But it is mainly the staff that create the pleasant breakfast experience.

Visited Restaurant for the first time today with my husband. Food was certainly not worth the price. Ordered two eggs, bacon with fruit and husband similar. Bacon was obviously reheated but still cold. Order was brought to table incorrectly. On positive note server was super friendly. Will not go back….

I won’t be coming back to Cora’s on Lacewood. It is extremely hot in there even though the staff said the AC was on. The man sitting in the booth next to us had beads of sweat dripping down his face. Also, the food quality has gone down. It was undercooked and potatoes were cold.

For the prices, the food today was lack luster. It was pretty busy but that shouldnt be reason why the food seemed undercooked

I love Cora’s! Pancakes are consistently yummy and the fudge is so tasty but not too sweet. It is quite a treat.

We came around 11: 30 am on a Saturday. Not too crazy busy. Excellent table seating; server was attentive, friendly, but a little slow, but we were a group, so it didn’t bother us. Coffee was hot and topped up plentifully, food was great. Not a single issue except maybe the speed. But you need to expect it to be slower on a weekend. We would go again. Parking was easy, right in front.

I will never go back again we ordered our food he came with coffee and we waited and waited finally the food delivered by the cook we had no utensils to eat with so had to ask for some a waiter came over offered more coffee but no creamers had to ask for more as it was all milk in the dish and then I took a bit of my scrambled eggs ice cold bacon limp potatoes not quite sure what they were supposed to be very bland toast cold so I suppose while we waited so did our food to be picked up by our waiter and the sad part they took it back when I complain it was cold and but it in the microwave did you ever eat eggs cook twice but boy did he bring the bill quick when we waited and waited for him to bring it had to ask for that also I wanted to walk out without paying I mentioned to the waiter that I shouldn't have to pay for mine as it was cold and not fit to eat I ended up eating the rest of my granddaughters blueberries pancakes the bill was 53.89 for a brunch he never got a tip that for sure

My experience was horrible I had dine there ahand full of times before and the service was good I took friends there bragging how good it was. The potatoes were cold and greasy thats after fthey went and got more theyre was hardly no ketchup the server said it would be in next week We were served our plates and utensils to eat with no jam I was pretty dissapointed

Always love having fresh fruit with a meal. Staff have always been friendly and attentive. Tried iced moccachino today. Good drink but I think it's a bit pricey for the size. Eggs Benny very good as always

Went there today for Saturday brunch, food is ok but service is bad infact pathetic.wouldn't recommend this location bad service.

Great customer service and the food was excellent very pleasant staff and a great place to go will be going back soon.

Usually I love coming here, and understandably people have off days, but today someone just didn't care to be at work because the food was cold, I came in with my sister to get breakfast, bc I didn't have it in me to cook so I came for convenience, and I know it's not the servers fault but the food was so cold even the coffee tasted like the machine hasn't been properly cleaned in weeks and we weren't willing to wait to get a new plate because we just wanted to eat we were starving, manager wasn't even in, the food was prepared like the cook didn't even want to be there, and I'm not one to post complaints, I did let the server know how I felt, I just feel like my post will hopefully not let this happen again, bc again we did enjoy coming in for convenience, but not too pay 60 dollars for food to be prepared so poorly, in my poor sister doesn't like to complain, and I get it I understand but if we don't voice our opinions then no one will ever know.

Horrible food not even cooked crapes were not cooked sausage was not fully cooked and the cut up potatoes cause they wasnt hashbrowns was burnt, whoever they got cooking shouldn't be allowed near a stove my 10yr old makes better breakfast at home id rather give her the money I will never be back to this place.
My friend was here the day after and she said same thing HORRIBLE GOOD dont eat here unless you want food poison and they got a lot of flies in the restaurant to me means they are not clean Cora in Dartmouth still the best 1

Caleb is by far a superstar of a server! I would go there and not even eat he is that sweet, professional and just a darling of a human! Keep this one Cora!

My fiance ordered a Chicken Melt sandwich for pick up, it was busy so there was a 35 minutes wait, no problem. She asked for no onions and celery, the hostess says that the sandwich doesn't come with either of those, but my fiance insisted that it does, and that she just wants it without them.
We get there and it's not ready, we have to wait another 15 minutes, still no problem. We get the sandwich and it has celery and green onion in it. We let the hostess know, and she apologized, but just gave us a refund and told us "We'll get it right next time. " I asked if she could make a new one, and she said we'd have to wait another hour. What a waste of time.
I'd like to think that customer service is still an important aspect of the food industry, but this idea seems to be declining.

Pretty good meal. Was pretty hectic and a bit organized so it took away from the atmosphere. But overall solid meal and nice staff.

I was so disappointed with the food at this location. The toast was cold, potatoes were under cooked and slimy. Fruit in the bowl was not presented well with pieces that were not expected. Nit even the coffee was not even palatable. Don't think I will ever visit this location again

Their food is always consistently delicious. Our waiter was incredibly friendly and efficient and I will always love coming here.

It's always a treat here. Their staff is super friendly. Their service is on point. We got a booth table for us and since we had our 14mo with us, they provided us with the baby booster seat which is awesome.
Cora has been our go to breakfast place and it never leaves us disappointed.

Very bland small portions for the price expected more, at a table of 4 three of them where able to finish there breakfast before the forth got there breakfast. Free refills on coffee if you ask for a refill. Wasn't a huge fan been to much better.

Friendly and courteous staff. Clean bright restaurant. Food was delicious! Prices were comparable to other restaurants in the area.

They were very kind and did not charge us for the single larvae or the fruit plate in which it arrived. We ate around it. This is not upsetting to me as imported or domestic fruit has hitchhikers. What matters is that they handled the situation professionally. Good job.

Worst customer service. I was waiting on customer service desk for 5 minutes. Everyone was just ignoring me, nobody even said Hi.

Fantastic meal! Good variety of delicacies to choose from! Best idea is to pick one, and come back every day and try another! LOL Waiter was knowledgeable of items and selections ordered! Great coffee! Service was quick, and beautiful presentations of selection!

The wait staff are great here at this location!

I find that the standards of this restaurant have gone down gradually over the years. Often you’ll find mushy fruit on your plate, the tables are always wobbly, and the restaurant needs a good cleaning and refresh. I find the prices are no longer in line with the quality. I used to expect a higher standard at this chain.

This is our favourite brunch spot with the kids. We came here about once a month pre-covid, and always seemed to get Space Cowboy/Breakfast Ninja (I think his real name is Shawn/Sean?) as our server. Really great guy, attentive and definitely knows what parents need/expect when it comes to dining out with younger kids (we have two boys under 4). Looking forward to our return (with masks).:)

Good food, portions seemed to be smaller than I've seen in past visits. We were seated near the kitchen area and it was very loud (blender, etc.)

First time I went to this location i normally go to bedford, I wont be back. Got my coffee after about 10 min of being seated, no utensil provided used my straw from my oj to stir. Ordered eggs benny's with med fried not poached and hollandaise on the side. Egg was poached and hollandaise not on the side. These are simple basic requests. I pay good money in fact $4.55 for the smallest oj. I expect better service then what I got. Very disappointed with this location.
