Creamy Rainbow Bakery and Cafe

This is a great spot if you want to grab a delicious coffee or specialty drink. The food is handmade, delicious, and visually appealing. Customer service was great— they were very friendly and even served our coffee and cake to our table. The interior of Creamy Rainbow is aesthetically pleasing and would be a great spot to sit and enjoy a drink and/or treat while you finish up work. I would highly recommend trying this place out!

Ordered for a custom coffee and caramel cake and paid 100$ for a 6'' cake. And the cake just had a mild coffee taste is all. No trace of caramel. They don't even have proper tags for occasions.

The cream puff are so cute and delicious! Would recommend vanilla > chocolate > matcha > black sesame. Although it’s a bit expensive, it not bad to give it a try if you stop by. Nice vibe and environment for a coffee shop.

Fantastic. Like a little Japanese-korean coffee house appeared in the sky and landed in Halifax. Key here is it's Asian-fusion pastry cozy. Great for second date, small groups, late sweet snack, catching up with friends. Coffee is phenomenal, pastries awesome. You'll pay a little bit extra premium for the amazing options and quality of ingredients, but it's totally worth it.

For latin american peeps, there are "melon bread" pieces here that are the best small conchas you've ever had. It's a regular staple for us in terms of pan dulce.

Grab a red bean loaf, split it between 2-3 people with warm drinks. Just missing a Halifax fog, and they're starting with non-pork options for savoury treats (yay all-beef!). Vegetarian options are here too, but vegan options not quite yet due to their dough. Specialty drinks also generally top-notch.

Another gem in Halifax that elevates the city.

Update: still amazing - the quality and care that goes into the food here is unreal. They have milk buns that are like the perfected version of Mexican pan dulce conchas - but unreal, like biting into a vanilla cloud. It's the weekly treat now. Staff is amazing - please stay kind!

I was searching for a place for a quick lunch then saw this place, and decided to try it. I was thinking about burgers and fries at first, but I soon realized that it doesn’t offer lunch items as many traditional cafes. I decided to try a pork sausage bun with latte, and a bear cream puff for dessert. Everything was delicious and glad I made the right decision.

Great macaroons. Parking can be hard if you from our of town. The parking garage for park Lane is the best option, other then street.

Amazing macarons and drinks! Asked for their new homemade orange syrup in a chai latte and they were happy to make it for me even though its not a menu item. 10/10 recommend, amazing quality on all fronts

The place was nice and preety. I liked a wide selection of macroons they offer. The barista was very friendly and polite. I ordered the iced caramel latte and matcha latte with their famius custard bun. I wasn’t a fan of the food. Maybe I’ll try something different next time. But overall it is nice little cafe in downtown.

Popped in here for some coffee (I got drip, my mum got the new honeycomb latte), bit of which were very good. It looked like house made honeycomb on top, and I snagged a taste before it got submerged in the latte. Very nice on its own too. We ended up with some macrons as they all looked so nice and adorable, and the taste did not disappoint. I can only personally review the vanilla one (the rabbit) but my family also agreed the other two were very good. Everything is made in house (there is a small kitchen on site) so ever is fresh and clearly made with care in small batches. Do stop by if you want good warm drinks or truly pretty little sweet things.

I don't think I have every ordered the same thing twice here. Everything looks so good! It's somewhere that I feel comfortable trying something new and knowing that I will likely enjoy it. If you are in the area and want a little treat or snack, I absolutely recommend this location.

Cute bakery and cafe with a variety of Asian style desserts. Prices were a little high, so I would classify it as more of a "treat-yoself" trip, rather than a regular go-to cafe for coffee/tea. I got a couple of baked goods which were delicious and so cutely/thoughtfully decorated compared to other bakeries which just do the bare minimum. The space is slightly smaller than I was expecting and lighting was also a little dim even during the middle of the day. Overall, I liked the baked goods, and I'd probably return once in a while.

Creamy Rainbow is a special place in Halifax. Their sweets are beautiful and delicious. They make terrific cream puffs, one of my favorite pastries, and I also have really enjoyed their cheesecake and macaroons. The attention and care put into the preparation of their goods is obvious. The staff are always lovely and patient while you try to decide just how much dessert is reasonable to buy at once. I hear their sausage rolls are also great but haven’t tried them. The one time I got coffee here it was also very good. If you’re in the neighbourhood, stop by and get a treat, as they’ll definitely have something that wows you when you look into the pastry case.

The blonde cashier/ server has absolutely no respect to peoples time. I waited for her to finish making the coffee in the line and she ended up serving another person coming behind me.

The best Cafe in all of Halifax, possibly Nova Scotia! So much selection and options of baked goods and beautiful lattes. I wish I could have gone back a third time, but we had to head back home. Great service at the counter and patient while I decided between so many lovely options.

They have some of the most beautiful and cute pastries! A friend and I got matching macarons and they were delicious! <3

This is the BEST café in Halifax. Period.
Their flat white and desserts are AMAZING. The service is also excellent. The location is small but don’t let that fool you. The drinks and desserts are truly top quality ️️?

The puff pastry was literally the BEST I've ever had. The pastry was sweet with a nice texture and the cream inside was so generous, not too sweet and wonderfully whipped. I wish I could take some back to Toronto. I miss it already!

I have to agree, the best macarons I've ever tasted and very pretty too! You will not be disappointed.

I love their cream puff below is the matcha flavour however I much prefer the pistachio one. Must try

Cute little spot with pastries and other baked goods. No outdoor signage so hard to know where they are located but the inside was clean and the product was yummy!

Good Japanese cake and sweets created by Korean people. Melon-pan is as good as what we get in Japan. The cake size is kind of small and you could finish it in 3 bites;). The front sign is fading and you could miss the store as you walk by. Needs to be repainted. Nice cozy atmosphere. Love the fact that they use real butter

Went in for a little dessert snack. Ended up getting almost one of everything available.

The cheesecakes were creamy and bursting with fruit flavour. The macaroons all had a unique flavour and each one had individuality. The brownie was deep and decadent. Also crushed the strawberry milk.

Overall worth the diabetes.

We order our Anniversary cake yesterday! It's after very long time I got delicious Cake from them! Definitely recommended this business for Cakes!

Everything I've ordered from creamy rainbow has been amazing. Whether it's sweets, savory food, or coffee everything always goes above and beyond my expectations! Hands down my favorite coffee shop in Halifax.

Everything was extremely disappointing. I had an extremely mediocre small dirty chi latte which tasted like nothing other than watered down tea. I also got a pistachio creme puff which also has little flavor other than the sugar and puff pastry on the outside. The cream was very runny and tasted like have pistachio described to you. I would not be so harsh if it was not for the worst part that it cost $13!? There are endless places to go for cheaper.

The staff members here are so sweet and incredibly talented.
The drinks are to die for and the desserts even more so.

I tried the Earl Grey cream puffs and paired it with an Earl Grey Tea (very original I know). Both were amazing and the cream puff blew me away! The atmosphere was beautiful and selection of baked goods was impressive. Looking forward to trying their macarons next time, I know how difficult they are to make in this humid climate!

Very good orange cappuccinos, that soft orange flavour is so worth trying out. The custard bun was very tasty, the texture was just perfect.

For cakes, they have a selection of cheesecakes, I got the mango one which was good, but the bottom part made of crackers needs to be improved, it's as rock-hard as the ones that you buy frozen, and you can't really eat it. I would definitely suggest making their own crust with a bag of crushed Graham crackers and butter (or add more butter if making their own).

Very good food reasonable prices and I personally recommend the bacon and egg Danish if you pass by.

A little on the pricy side but the black sesame choux and sausage bun were delicious! Great spot for some korean style baked goods

I got the cheese bun omg what a joke. It's bread with only cheese on side and macaroon is just under 4$ for one.

I had cake and a macarons. The cakes are good, and I like how they used whipped cream as the icing. The macarons were so cute and delicious!

We ordered custom cake. Pretty much good. But the taste was not upto the mark as expected. Cake was nicely done. Would recommend them to improve on their flavour skills. They would do much better. If anyone visiting for custom cakes do taste the flavour you want and then place the order.

I’ve eaten food from here at least a half dozen times now. Everything I’ve at Creamy Rainbow has been worth going back for again. I especially suggest the savoury danishes and the cakes, they are to die for.

I like the place and the coffee was delicious but the chairs was not so comfortable for long stay

I love this bakery/cafe in the building where I work. It’s such a cute environment, and the orange and coconut lattes are amazing. The barista is always super nice and courteous, even when customers are really rude, which is very impressive. (Let’s not be rude to baristas or servers, they have a tough job!) :)

This was one of customizable cake we did, Even though bit expensive I would say this was one of the best I ever had, it was not too sweet as well it had fruits (strawberries, pineapple,) in it and it was lovely. For those people who doe not love to much sugar do check em out!
