This clinic is wonderful and its staff is great! I appreciate nurse, and Dr. O’Connell our family doctor. Dr. O’Connell has done so much for my father through these past number of years with his failing health.
Even though it is hard to get through on the phone, And sometimes you have to wait a bit for an appointment, it’s well worth it. I also appreciate that they have a duty clinic, where, for urgent things you can get help! Dr. O’Connell is the best!

How do I get through to this place when my 16 m/o is extremely sick but they don’t turn on the phones? What is the point of having a family doctor if you don’t answer the phone?

Our family doctor is fantastic but it’s extremely frustrating that a doctors office keeps their phone turned off. I was advised to get to a doctor within 72 hours on Friday and haven’t been able to get through after calling about 200 times. I guess we will be going to walk-in instead?

I like the speaker they use to communicate in the reception area. Now they can be unhelpful while also announcing all your personal and medical information to the whole room.

We have been going to this clinic since returning to NS in 2010. Our current doctor is excellent, as were the previous ones at this clinic.
On top of that if you have an urgent matter you can usually get in to the duty clinic the same day. This office staff have also always been very courteous and helpful.

Lucky to have Dr Doucette and the team as care providers. Have had such great experiences with nurse Holly, too! Shout out to the reception team who seem to have upped their game and have been helpful and cooperative. Online booking is a lifesaver. Thanks crossroads team!

Absolutely love the doctors & nurses. Fantastic clinic in that sense… but the reception is deplorable.
Calling 80-100 times to get through on the phones is just unacceptable…. Reception will keep the phones turned off till 2/3: 00 in the day making it impossible to make an appointment. More than once I’ve had to physically go to the clinic and make an appointment in person… I’ve NEVER had such a bad phone experience with reception ANYWHERE else before. & I’m not the only one with these issues. EVERYONE else that I know with a doctor at Crossroads complains about not being able to get through on the telephone…. Something needs to be changed.
