They have some excellent gluten-free options including gluten-free deserts to go. Pop in and grab some! Small space but nice atmosphere.

Cute quirky place. Nice outdoor space. Went on a Saturday morning and there was good live music. The food was excellent (oatmeal pamcakes were amazing) and prices were pretty reasonable, but the service was quite slow. The place was busy but not packed and they must of been understaffed in the kitchen and with the wait staff.

I can not say enough good about Cup of Soul. The owner is a rock star, and if you're ever lucky enough to be there when their cinnamon rolls are warm and they are served by Kate, you will be a very lucky customer. If you're looking for a meal or a quick snack, you should go. Lots of gluten free/sensitive options available

The Gluten-free bread is so delicious! I just had such a yummy panini! I may need to buy a loaf of their bread!

It’s a cute brunch place. Was very busy when I was there but the service was amazing, nonetheless.

Cup of Soul is definitely on the must-go cafe list in the province, and in this area. The service is great (especially if Kate serves you!), and the variety of food and drink options are both plentiful and delicious. Possibly the best french onion soup I've ever had! The cafe itself is quite small and tight, especially when it's busy, but it's cozy. Also if you get the chance, try their cinnamon buns and lamingtons!

Friendly wait staff. Great food, very tasty and healthy. This is a relaxing, healthy alternative to a fast food joint. Clean washrooms.

Wow was very impressed with restaurant! The food was amazing and affordable, the service was great, very cozy, the staff is phenomenal, very friendly, polite, caring and they always have a friendly smile. It just reminds me of a fantastic place to have a kitchen party. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone and I would most definitely would go out of my way to visit again.

I appreciate that there are vegan options and hope to see more in the future. I had the vegan sandwich (the full sandwich is very filling) and the vegan cinnamon bun which was so good. Was really busy during lunch and had to wait a bit in line for a table. Service was friendly!

Unbelievably delicious food. Lovely service, cute atmosphere. I eat gluten and dairy free and was so happy to have so many options! Seafood chowder was amazing, burgers were to die for and the dessert.gluten free and dairy free orange brownie with icing. OMG. I left with some to go as well. This will be our new staple for our trips to Halifax from Cape Breton.

After 3 weeks of brunching through the Halifax area, I can say with certainty that this is the best brunch we’ve had in the region.
The bread was hearty & homemade. The jam was light and perfect (likely also homemade). The Omelette was among the best I’ve had in a restaurant. Proper eggs and good quality cheese, the veggies were fresh and tasty, and none of it was too greasy. Yoghurt & granola was thick & chewy, simple and not too sweet.

We headed out of Halifax for Cape Breton super early and wanted to stop for some food. This was the perfect spot. They were open nice and early, the food was absolutely fantastic, and the people were wonderful! The location is convenient and the restaurant itself is asp cute and charming! I would highly recommend. We wanted a quick stop for a bite and enjoyed it so much that we stayed and chatted over a few cups of coffee. They even poured our last cups into to-go cups and wished us a wonderful day. Just overall wonderful.

Usually love this place the food is always excellent. Went in for breakfast today, knowing it would be busy but not knowing the staff on today were untrained and unable to handle a busy Saturday. There was one very young girl taking care of the place and she was floating around with zero urgency. She did not know what she was doing nor did she seem to care much that people had been waiting. I was not greeted, got my own table and menus, and after 35 minutes still hadn’t even been asked if we want water or drinks. There were tables around us who arrived before we even did and were also being ignored. We got up an walked out. 3 stars because the food is great.

We've moved to the area and Cup of Soul came reccomended. I'm so glad we checked it out! Such a cute and welcoming cafe, And the ladies were all so friendly. The menu has lots of options that look, smell, and taste delicious! My wife and I popped in for lunch and split the Monte Cristo sandwich (aka the "Full Monty"), and a "Big 'ole FRC" salad. Amazingly delicious! It was exactly what we wanted. I'll definitely be stopping in again to try more options!

Lovely unexpected stop on way to get gas. For those who are gluten free, there are lots of options. Food coming out of the tiny kitchen was creative. Savory vegetable soup was yummy. The gluten free Lamington and molasses cookies were exceptional. We departed with smiles

I visited cup o soul several times during my visit in the area and had a wonderful experience both times. The Tomato basil soup was flavourful & delicious. The bacon & egg sandwich was equally delicious with a generous portion of bacon. Good value and would gladly return again. Also, very attentive service by the lovely ladies. Thanks

Usually a spot we stop for lattes before we travel to Cape Breton. This time we sat in for brunch. Amazing. A must stop if you are looking for a great meal. Highly recommend.

The breakfast is fantastic and the service was great! The cinnamon buns with cream cheese frosting are a must! Even stopped by on the way back through for some sandwiches.

Found Cup of Soul Cafe by good fortune, pulled off the road looking for coffee better than a chain store - and WOW am I pleased. Stayed for lunch, seafood chowder studded with shrimp and fish and a side salad with extra deliciousness, so fresh and special. Cute, comfy space. And the coffee - perfect. Don't miss this local gem.

I had the eggs benny, and we shared their special cinnamon bun banana foster. Both absolutely delightful!

Fresh home cooked food great funky items lovely patio and reallt friendly staff.

The chai latte was perfect, the ambiance is nice and cozy and the waitress was very sweet. There are plugs and wifi.
However the food didn't convinced me. The bacon was so salty I couldn't eat it.
