Undoubtedly, curry village produces the finest mutton in Halifax. So far I had the opportunity to taste it twice & on both occasions, simply mouth-watering!

The best and only one authentic Indian cuisine in Halifax. Since 2014, our favourite place to satisfy curry cravings, even after moving to Toronto, whenever we visit Halifax, we never fail to stop by. Just amazing food and unique ambience

Some of the best Indian food I’ve had! The owner & staff are very kind as well. Definitely worth the visit!

Food is best but the owner is greedy. He charges you a tip everytime by pressing a tip button without your information. He never gives you detailed receipt. So you end up paying your extra bucks as tips without knowing.

I visited this place with my friend and ordered butter chicken which was absolutely sumptuous. The naan bread was freshly cooked and was soft and delicious. We finished our meal with gulaab jamuns. This is one of the best Indian restaurants in Halifax, Must try!

This restaurant serves tasty food and has all the chicken varieties if you are a chicken lover I like their butter chicken and garlic naan

If you're looking for value for money and consistency in Indian cuisine in Halifax, Curry Village is a reliable choice. In a city where there are only two Indian restaurants known for their consistency, Curry Village stands out as one of them which won't disappoint you. First on the list is ofcourse, Tawa Grill.

We recently dined at Curry Village again and had a satisfying experience. Started with their samosas, which were notably larger than what I've had at other places. The samosas were authentic and came with a delicious chutney that perfectly complemented their flavor.

For the main course, we opted for the tandoori platter. The assortment was packed with flavor, and we particularly enjoyed the goat masala curry and the pulao. Both dishes were well-seasoned and satisfying.

The only slight letdown was the tandoori roti. While it was decent, I felt it could have been better.

All in all, Curry Village offers genuine and tasty Indian cuisine with an option to make the food extra spicy while maintaining flavor. They also make it fresh after you order so there's a slight wait time but it's worth it.

We were visiting Halifax and wanted Indian food, best place we could've gone. Food was great and service was fast and amazing!

I normally hate leaving negative reviews about any business or organization unless it is deserved and in this case it is.

Placed my order at 1830 and was told it would be a half hour, half hour rolls by and no show so I thought who ever I spoke to on the phone said an hour which could have very well been the case so I waited until 1930 to call and check and they said it would be another 15 mins, that 15 mins goes by and still no sign of the food or delivery driver.

Placed another call at 1951 and ask for an update and was told the driver went to the wrong address and would be here in 5 mins and now by this point I am trying not to lose my cool with who ever is on the other end but 1.5 hrs after the order was placed and multiple call backs to find out what is happening ya tend to start to get irritated so another 10 mins goes by and I decided enough was enough and called and cancelled and the person on the other line was pleading with me not to cancel but I told them flat out no I am cancelling because because there is no excuse for it to take this long to deliver an order from downtown to the north end.

Not even 5 mins later the delivery driver showed up and I was a bit deterred with him and asked him what happened and he informed me that he only received the billet 10 mins prior to showing up at my door, poor guy had the start of a blasting and I apologized.

To the owners of this establishment the way you handle your delivery service is unacceptable and honestly I don’t want to hear what ever half baked excuses you have to come up with as a reply because honestly I don’t care, just know I will for damn sure be spreading the word about this experience and how you treat your customers.

I haven been just 5 days in Halifax and visited the restaurant. Their service is excellent and delivery person is really a good and humble person.

I was visiting Halifax from Calgary, Alberta and went for dinner at Curry Village. Food was 10/10, great portions and service was extremely welcoming.

One of the worst places to eat! Not much flavor to food, not ambience for a restaurant.would never go back!

This was the worst delivery experience I've ever had. The order I placed online was apparently never received. When my partner called in almost 2 and half hours after I had placed the order, we were told it would be delievered in 15 to 20 minutes. When it hadn't arrived almost an hour later, I called and was hung up on. When I finally got through, I was given a handful of reasons why-after my partner called and enquired about our order-we hadn't received our food almost 3 and a half hours later. We were told the food would arrive in 15 to 20 minutes. When I called in almost 4 and a half hours later enquiring again about the food, I was told that I had cancelled the order and wanted a refund. I did want some kind of refund for the poor service but said I still wanted the food. Clearly there was some sort of misunderstanding but quite frankly, I think the terrible service is not worth ever supporting this establishment. If this was the first time I'd had problems ordering food from this restaurant, I'd write it off, but it wasn't. Being told that I'm lying about cancelling an order is also infuriating. I was so hungry, so why would I cancel the order? I still wanted to eat the food hence why I kept calling and asking where it was. But telling your clientele that they're lying is a great way to ward them off. Never going to promote this local establishment and will make sure to share my disappointment far and wide, and if you can't manage or run a restaurant with pick up, delivery and in-service dining, then don't.

Ordered food online at 3 p.m. By 5.30 the food was not delivered. The manager told my wife that the system did not register our order until we phoned in at 5.30. Ok, sure, no problem.
The manager also proceeded to complain about how difficult it is to run a restaurant and told us the driver was out at the airport (somewhere). Then the manager cancelled our order, didn't bother telling us, only to call my wife a liar when I phoned again at 6 30,3.5 hours later after we placed our original order. Calling your customers liars, and cancelling people's orders and not bothering to tell them is unprofessional. There is no excuse for this. We still have yet to receive confirmation of the refund for the order. Don't waste your time ordering online from this place. It's not worth the stress.

Hands down the best Indian food I’ve had in Halifax. The portions were good for the price and the service is always good.

I’m met the owner and he is the kindest man and truly has a passion for this restaurant. I tried the butter chicken here and the garlic, Nan bread, and they were both amazing. I truly felt like I was eating authentic Indian food if you were looking for somewhere else to eat excellent Indian food you need to try the spot out it is so so so good!

Awesome place to get authentic Indian food. We ordered Aloo Ghobhi, Chicken Curry and Chapatis. The curry was super delicious and the chapatis were same as homemade ones. The owner is very friendly and kind. I would recommend to try this place for sure.
