The staff and veterinarian at Dartmouth Veterinary Hospital gave me and my cat terrific service. They took several steps to reduce the extreme anxiety my cat experiences at the vet office, without me even asking them to do so. I feel very lucky to have such a great veterinary service available to me. Very professional and compassionate care.

I have been bringing all my animals (3 cats and a dog) to this vet clinic for over 25 years. I have always had excellent care from all staff. Our regular vet is Paul Robb, who is an absolutely phenomenal vet. He is kind, knowledgeable, compassionate, and clearly, loves the animals. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Fraser during my most recent visit with my dog. She was thorough, caring, pleasant and very knowledgeable. The support staff are consistently friendly, helpful, and go out of their way to help. I live in Halifax but would never consider changing vet clinics. It’s well worth the drive across the bridge! Thanks to all staff for the great job!

Dr O’Leary was so patient with my dog and she showed me how to administer eye drops, again with so much patience. The front desk staff were lovely and helpful.

Had my cat chewy there for his little operation and he came home in great condition. Would definitely use their services again.

We were so lucky and grateful that they agreed to see our 14 year old cat who developed constipation and a post op infection after dental surgery. Our own vet and a local emergency vet were unable to accommodate us. We received kindness, sympathy and excellent advice. Our girl is now finally on the road to recovery, thanks to everyone at the Dartmouth Veterinary Hospital!

I have been going to Dartmouth vet hospital for about 4 years for both my kitties and I can’t say enough good things about them. Every single staff member is so nice and welcoming and I trust my cats are in the best care. They follow up to make sure they are doing ok and if anything thing is going on that should be noted on file. I highly recommend them:)

Would 100% recommend the team at Dartmouth verterinary to take excellent care for your pets. We've been taking our dogs there for 14+ years and prior to that Dr Robb also looked after our other dog until he passed in 2008. The entire team including Dr Fraser and especially their client care assistant, Heather.they all are so caring for the animals and go above and beyond making sure our dogs are looked after but also that any concerns we have are addressed too. You will never worry if your pets are getting good care here.

2022 update: This clinic has been working tirelessly to ensure their clients are well looked after during this pandemic. When it was time to let my cat go in 2021, they were able to take us inside and gave us all the time and space we needed to say goodbye. The vet stood with us and helped us process memories and was just overall a comforting presence. While my other cat is not a fan of visiting her doctors, I feel confident when I ask questions and receive feedback on the well being of my animals.

Compassionate client focused clinic. Taking covid measures very seriously. I feel safe taking my cats to this clinic and always receive great care. I'm especially liking the detailed medical report that gets emailed out for annual exams!

Each time I come here I, and my pets, are shown respect and good care. They have complimentary feliway sprayed towels for scared cats and extra leashes for dogs in case people forget.

They have a fund that helps people overcome expensive emergencies and procedures as well and that alone shows me they want to help people clients as well as they do non-people clients.

We had to have an emergency surgery on our house cat, and when complications arose the staff at DVH were as understanding and accommodating as anyone could hope for. Top notch staff (parking lot isn't great lol!)

Our 14 year old dogs, Linus (blonde), his sibling Lucy (passed) and Herman (11 year old, long haired dachshund) have been excellently taken care of their whole life with this clinic and will continue to be in their great care.

My family has always taken our cats there since we were kids and now that I have my own cats, I have continued that tradition. Every time I come to the Dartmouth Veterinary Hospital, I get great service and they are always compassionate and understanding. They treat my cat like she is family and that's extremely important to me. When my first cat died approximately 5 years ago now, I could not have asked for better service. They were absolutely fantastic the day I went to get credit on his food because there was someone I knew who came in at the same time who I had a personal issue with and I was still grieving his loss. They made me feel more at ease because they were very discreet around this person. I recommend them to anyone who has a beloved pet. They truly care!

Well after scouring the city for an HRM Registration Tag, called and emailed 15 other locations, I was able to secure one at the Dartmouth Vet Clinic.

The Staff were very friendly and it was very appreciated how easy they made the process.

Competent operation they did 1vaccination Not necessRy as done 9 months ago by original owner so did not appreciate the 30 dollzr charge lizzie should not have 2 rabies shots in 9 months Better consultation needed.

First time visit with my 12 week old puppy. Staff are great. Very friendly, professional and you can tell they all love animals. Dr Robb was exceptional. Gave lots of attention to my puppy in examination, gave good advice. We’ll definitely continue here with Max’s care.

When I moved here this clinic is where many suggested I take my pets. The entire staff have been very helpful, kind and well organized.

I have been to the clinic twice with my cat for his senior wellness exam and vaccinations.

They reviewed my previous vaccination plan from Ontario and I discovered I didn’t require as many vaccinations for the lifestyle my cat leads Also helped me create a better diet plan for him.

E-mail reminders and clinic notes for each appointment are so convenient.

They neutered my cat Sherlock and it was an easy process from start to finish. The staff were amazing. I highly recommend reaching try to them if you need a pet spayed or neutered.

We brought our new kitten here and it was our first vet experience in Dartmouth, but not in Halifax. The staff are so friendly, accommodating, and caring. The vets give an email record after each visit and offered many options to keep our kitty healthy and happy. Highly recommend!

As always, Dr. Fraser was wonderful as were the rest of the staff I encountered. The veterinarian genuinely cares about my pets and, just like me, wants them to be healthy, comfortable, and happy. She took time to discuss and address my concerns and I’d never take my furry family members elsewhere. A fabulous team with a focus on professionalism, compassion, and friendliness!

We have been dealing with Dart. Vet. Hos.for a number of years. All the staff are pleasant, professional and caring. They have always made us feel like family. The Vet and tech advice has always helped us deal with all issues big or small and they tell it to us straight. No unnecessary testing or explorations. They treat our pets as though they were their very own. Both Tango and Whiskie are happy to see the gang when they go in for checkups etc. Leaves us with a great feeling.

Dr. Robb is a true professional and all the other vets and staff are all incredible.

I was feeling emotional bringing my cat in for a checkup after several years and the staff and vet were so kind to me, it calmed me down. They were wonderful to my cat and the vet explained the results of the exam to me. Very nice, kind, professional people work there.

We had a great experience with this veterinarian hospital! The staff was so sweet and caring and I felt that we had a very thorough assessment and discussion with the veterinarian Dr. O'Leary. She was so attentive and really explained clearly her findings and options moving forward. I will definitely be coming back and making this my regular clinic!

The Dart Vet Hospital did an amazing job (and still continue too) coping and providing fantastic service to their clients during Covid times. I appreciate all that they do.

We have been bringing all of our pets to Dartmouth Vet for years. Recently our 11 year old Tuxedo cat Gabby was diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism after an emergency visit to the Metro Emergency Hospital, she was started on thyroid medication twice a day for life.
Gabby had suddenly stopped eating when she became sick. She had a follow up appointment with Dr. Fraser at Dartmouth Vet.and she gave us a treatment plan for Gabby. (I had been syringe feeding Gabby for 5 days.) Dr. Fraser also gave Gabby an appetite stimulant pill and injection along with several different flavors of canned food to try. We were thrilled when we brought Gabby home and she immediately started to eat. We also received several calls checking on Gabby's condition from the wonderful caring staff at Dartmouth Veterinary Hospital. We are so happy that Gabby is back to herself.

Dr. Fraser was so kind and very thorough in helping us with discussions on quality of life. She was honest and very helpful. We felt much better after the visit in knowing how to care for our dog and what to look out for.

I have a new puppy named Lola. She’s been to this vet twice so far and I’m very happy with their excellence in pet care. We all know what it’s like to leave your baby in the hands of strangers but this group is excellent at answering questions and you can tell they love their work by the love they give my puppy. I highly recommend this place for all your pet issues and health needs

Our pets are our family and treat them as such. If you are looking for a veterinary clinic that cares for your fur baby as if it were their own this is the place to TRUST.

I have been taking my lil cockapoo here for 8.5 years now and always feel he has been well examined never rushed and left with all questions answered. They are NOT medicine pushers or pushy in any way. On the very odd occasion my lil guy needed medication it worked right away.

The staff each and everyone are simply FABULOUS and friendly PS they like giving treats which my baby never refuses. They also removed a few ticks because I was afraid to and didn't even charge me, not many places do that.

On 2 occasions I had to get him in right away and they accommodated me in less than an hour both times even though they were busy and never rushed me, that speaks volumes to me as a pet Mommy. They so much as called the next day just to see how he was doing, NOT many places do that.

I will stop typing and only say if you are looking for a place you can TRUST knowing your fur baby is in good hands, pick up the phone and call them, you won't regret it or the bill they are very reasonably priced.

Dr. Meaghan O'Leary examined our dog for us this morning. She was really excellent with us and our dog - allayed our fears with a thorough physical examination; took blood while we were there - phoned us with blood results only a couple of hours later. Then she e-mailed us a complete detailed report this afternoon. Very impressive! Our dogs have had Dr. O'Leary before and we really like her.

Dartmouth Vet (everyone we have run into over the years, mainly see Dr. Robb) has always been there for us through the good and the bad. We always trust that they are going to be kind and honest. They have always suggest care that is best for the animal, we never feel we have to worry about them just doing tests or care that is not required.

Puppy had his second vaccinations here. Staff was lovely and puppy was sent home with a toy and leash! So nice

We have been going to the Dartmouth Veterinary Hospital since 2008 and have never had a complaint.the reception desk ladies are awesome and very professional. I will give a special shoot out to Dr. Ackerley and Dr. Robb. They have both helped us lately with two of cats.

I have been taking my dogs to Dr. Cassandra Fraser for the past couple of years. She is amazing and genuinely cares about our fur babies. The front desk staff is great as well and always go over and above to make sure you and your pets are well taken care of.

I have been to Dartmouth Veterinary Hospital on Tacoma Dr Dartmouth twice with kitty Cleo and I must say these people are amazing. So helpful, accommodating, friendly and kind. The veterinary that been looking after kitty, Dr. Morton is so gentle and kind.when she touches kitty's fur to check her, its like she is handling fine crystal. Kitty is so comfortable with Dr. Morton and doesn't seem to mind at all being there. I am so glad that they have accepted us and that this is our chosen pert care provider. Thank you to Dr Morton and your great staff.

I have used & really liked this clinic for 20 yrs! I have really liked the vet we see but in the past yr support staff seem to be very uncaring, communicate poorly, & are perhaps a little rude particularly for the last 2 visits ending in confusion & no service today.
I arrived at the clinic after a bazaar battle trying to catch one of my 2 house cats who for some reason decided this was a no go. (very unusual) it took 10 minutes to crate him after he bit me!
I arrived a little shaken w one hand still bleeding. I approached the door w a carrier under each arm & there were many signs on the door, one noted that we must call before we could get in! NO ONE told me this when they called to confirm the previous day! I could see support staff at the desk as I dropped one of the carriers, dug for my phone in my bag, hung from my neck. NOT ONE PERSON came near the door.
When I got my phone out I was so frustrated I decided to cancel the appointment; I had had enough nonsense. I identified myself & put one of my cats back in the car as someone came to the door saying, “We can see you now” and I said, “Forget it. I need to find another clinic; this is ridiculous. Please send their records. ” I noted that I was experiencing a panic attack & returned to my car, in tears, to settle myself & my cats.
Obviously no one had the common sense to look at the schedule when a senior citizen arrived w two small carriers. Perhaps they could have braved the door & called out for a name!
The records arrived 2 hrs later! Very unprofessional, profound lack of communication, & lack of caring. Those who own the clinic should know about this.

These people always make me feel comfortable with all decisions, they are very professional but also very loving and kind to every animal. They try to help as best and as fast as they can. They are very trustworthy and make your fur baby feel comfortable and safe.

This vet office is great! We have a sweet asthmatic cat they take great care of and a not so friendly cat they have to deal with. Always professional and helpful

I absolutely love these people. I am a helicopter pet mom and they ALWAYS make me feel comfortable and address any concerns I may have. Maverick is a dog that is very hyper and can be difficult at times to manage (without his momma). They treat him with such love and care and as if he's their very own fur baby. I am very blessed to have each and every one of the staff taking care of my boy? So to anyone looking for a vet who will love your babies and make sure that they are ok. My calls were answered quickly. I waited about 20 minutes for my cat to be taken in to see the vet. Dr. O'Leary called me and was very thorough in her explanation of findings from the physical exam. She also explained about the side effects that might occur from the rabies vaccine. The cost was fair. The office has good CoVID precautions in place.

This was a follow-up visit (check-up on injury to ensure was improving), the doctor was very helpful, explained what was needed, and answered all questions I had.

I've been going to the Dartmouth Veterinary Hospital since 1975 with my first dog. I've met lots of different staff and veterinarians over the years and I've always felt confident and comfortable with the way all 5 of my dogs were treated. I can't thank them enough for all the great care they've given. Some of the nicest people you could ever meet work there.

Great place to trust with your little ones. We had our kitten neutered here and they were great from the beginning to the end. 10/10

I love coming to this Veterinary Hospital. When I walk into a building, I have immediate trust in the professionals that work there. The staff is always extremely friendly and welcoming. But the most important thing is our Dr. Cassandra Fraser is not just knowledgeable doctor but very caring as well. Her recommendations for my cut are always what he needs and she doesn't upsell unnecessary products, unlike some other vet.hospitals.

My appoint was right on time - no waiting in the waiting room which is great in these COVID times - no excess contact with staff. Vet is very knowledgeable, friendly and my kitty is getting the best care possible. A pleasant experience.

We just had our cat seen for a nail that grew into his paw pad. They took such good care of him and we both went home in better shape than we went there. We been with this Vet for many years and always trust them with our pets.

They care about our babies and do whatever they can to help. Don't push anything unnecessary either. 6dogs and 7cats over 20 years. No complaints.:)
