Even after roaming for a bit look for a seat, so they knew we were there, we then waited for 5 minutes before we were acknowledged. Another 7 minutes to get our menus. The food servicer had to take our drink order because the fella walked past us 3 times. Another 8 minutes before server returned to take our order. Understanding the food took 10 to 15 to get to us. It's a shame that we had this experience. It was my first time there and my friend told about how good it was. I can't see me going back.

I had the 3pc chicken with Mashed potatoes. It was a busy spot today. They are short-staffed, but the server was run off her feet! She is the best server! The chicken was supposed to be “southern fried”, but it had a very crispy thin coating and overcooked. Couldn’t eat an actual whole piece. The potatoes were real thou…. The building needs a major upgrade from when it was Steak and Stein many years ago. The carpet is terribly worn and dirty and the women’s bathroom was ridiculous. 1 stall would not lock and the paper towel was above you, and depending which end was open, you had to reach behind you……I laughed because it was so foolish. Was terrible service and burnt and under cooked food on same plate
Had one person take our order another person deliver and explain what it was seemed kinda drunk perhaps
Then the order lady brought the bill and while clearing the table flicked a fry on my partner and laughed about it

I visited for the first time in years and was pleasantly surprised with the service! The food has always been good here, but I was not fond of the service. What a difference! Our server was super friendly and very fast! Sunday Brunch is back on!

Well unfortunately this place has done a complete 180, I've been going here for over 5 years and always loved this place and there food. I decided to take my mother today and it was night and day difference in the quality and portions of the food. I ordered clams and chips for $21 and got 6 clams 3 of which where strips and all of which were chewy as heck, the gravy has cold and the fries where undercooked. My mother has ordered the same thing here everytime, cheeseburger and a side spinich salad.today was the first time she could not finish the burger said it tasted horrible. I took a bite.whatever that is it's not hamburg. All the people sitting at other tables were complaining aswell about the fish was not haddok and very fishy, there fries also undercooked, another guy got a beef dip and the meat was as think as a credit card, like 1 tiny slice. Anyway I'll never go back to this rip off of a place. Ps. I did ask the waitress (who was very nice and very sorry) if they got a new cook and indeed they did.

Went for Father's Day brunch. They were understaffed as they had not been expecting a big rush. Even the bartender was waiting tables. Long wait to be served but we had anticipated they would be busy. The food was great only draw back was that the suage was deep fried. Opted for breakfast from menu over buffet as I can not eat enough to justify $21.99. Enjoyed the food and will go back.

Went for the weekend brunch buffet and it's not that great anymore. They cooked a massive ham but the slices they give are ice cold. They are making the stuff in small batches as required which is not ideal for some items. Example: corned beef hash ran out when we arrived, none was brought out for atleast 30 minutes, and when my father finally got some he was very disappointed as none of the flavors has time to melody, they just threw it together and sent it out when this item is better after it melodies and could have had a big batch made a day or 2 ahead of time. It gets the 2 stars because they still make omelets to order.

Afternoon lunch with the girls, Tasty food, server was fairly quick and accurate very laid back environment enjoyed the experience would recommend.

Terrific server! Basic pub food. We had live music, couldn't hear ourselves think despite being on the other side of the space. Couldn't enjoy any chatting with the people I came in with. Bad timing I guess. Mostly a local hangout.

I'm not from the city (Halifax/Dartmouth) originally, and Doolittle's felt like the bars back home. It was refreshing. I had pub food and Olands so it met all expectations.

Haddock tips were small and very dried out. Disappointed in my meal. We however had a great server. Linda

Went for brunch buffet. Wasn't great. Wasn't overly busy but food was empty. Took a long time for them to refill. If you go for breakfast I'd recommend ordering off the menu.

The food was getting skimpy and the wings I had were all drumets there was no flats and they were way over cooked hard as rock and wife ordered garlic and bacon cheese bread there was always 4 pieces all she got was one piece and didn't get the dinner roll that comes with the chowder.

Normally, very impressed. This visit wasn't as great. My husband and I had the 2 for 1 fish and chips. Fish was very good, but lukewarm. There was a staff shortage, I was trying to send mine back, but staff were busy. Eventually I got up and walked towards the server to get her attention. She apologized, and took my meal back to be warned up. It took a while to come back, and they replaced the fish with a new piece, and once again, it wasn't hot. We just asked for the bill, and once again, I told the server. She was really surprised and upset, but it wasn't her fault.

The place looks like a regular pub, until the musicians start to play. The quality of the sound in that place is extraordinary. Not sure why it isn't talked about more, because it really stands out as a concert venue. If you want good pub food and crystal-clear live music, this is the place for you!

Went there on my lunch break. Waited 35 minutes and watched 2 other tables who ordered after us get there food before us. Ended up leaving the restaurant without having any food. Service was not good and I still haven't eaten. It was my first time going there and it was my last time. I won't be back.
Absolutely terrible.

If you want to go to a bar, have wings and drink, without having to dress up, this is the place. Centrally located In Dartmouth, you can get a bus home, it's right there. Friendly staff. One of the few places that still pays for live bands. And the food is great. Drink specials. Daily menu specials. Everyone is trying to be the fancy restaurant. Where does the common Joe go? Doolittle's. They know what I drink. They chat you up. There's no drama. The owner tries very hard to give people what they want. From bouncer, to server, to owner, he's a decent guy. Fully recommended. It's your new watering hole.

Very rude customer service by the male bartender. The food was horrible, the burger didnt even have any sauce in it. The chicken wings was not bad. Sometimes the customer service will help to stabilize the drawback of food on this case they failed at both. Really sorry to say this.

Great food, and pleasant atmosphere. In the afternoon it's quieter, and it's spacious enough that you don't feel crowded.

The food is amazing, I've never had a bad meal here, quite the opposite! Have brought friends here and they've been extremely happy with prices and quality of meals, as well as awesome service!

Post-pandemic things are quieter in the evening, but the food remains excellent! I'm never disappointed here. Great variety of meals, desserts, and always great value for your money. The staff is wonderful, as well.

Staff are great, food is hit or miss depending on your taste. Highly recommend the chowder!

Live the food and friendly crowd. The waitresses and waiter go above and beyond. Entertainment was excellent
