Deluxe Fish & Chips Ltd

2 pc fish n chips was over $13 before tax is way over priced.
Fish was lukewarm, ends burnt, fries were hard, dried out, and lukewarm too; and lots of hard and crunchy little chip bits.
Including the 3 of us there were a total of 6 people in the place at noon on a Friday! Wonder why?
Used to love this place, but never again.

On Oct 14 we were taking a pair of seniors out for a treat to your venue for lunch. Had not been to your venue in about 10 years. At that time the food was terrible. Wanted to try your venue again as we had heard that food had improved. The service was excellent and the staff so very friendly. The venue itself was very bright and clean. Washroom was excellent considering one of our group has mobility issues. Now the food was terrible. Fish pieces were very small and overcooked. Dry and tasteless. The french fries are a disgrace. Small little bits with an abundance of scraps that can not be called french fries. One order was a bacon cheeseburger. It was edible but not a stellar burger by any means. Each meal we purchased was 13.00 plus dollars. Sorry but we will not come for a meal again. It was disappointing to take someone out for lunch and have poor quality food served to them.

I work here, and I want you all to realize that this is a FAST FOOD restaurant. You are NOT going to get Gordon Ramsey out of Deluxe, Im really sorry to break it to you.

My last meal was completely raw. This one was even worse. The fish was so burnt it was not edible and these are not fries. They are crumbs. They should have been tossed not served. I won’t be back.

Made the mistake of trying them again and it wasn’t even edible! ROTTEN potatoes. Absolutely disgusting.

Fish was quite overdone, fries were undercooked. I've heard it can be hit or miss here, but I don't think I'll be back. Service was really friendly, though.

We got the wrong fish the batter wasn't cooked all the way and the fish was rubber but fries were over cooked we eat alot of fish and I was told that this was one of the best places to eat I wasn't very happy 74 for 3 meals and all of them had the same problem. My friend went in got a refund but I was very dissatisfied I was so looking forward to it

Food is very good for a fast food style place and the service is fantastic, always friendly and helpful!

Guys there now are fast and good hard workers, no mistakes on order, good tasty fast food, wish it was just a little cheaper

Another place to stay away from. Fish half cooked and my chicken breast was smaller than the chicken wing. Things have really gone down hill.

Was extremely greasy! So disappointing
Especially when combined with the fact we spent 70$ and I couldn't eat it!

Just don't. Over priced greasy gross. My fish was uncooked. No apology at all, like they expected it. All I tasted was grease. Only good part, fries were decent. Even the packaged tartar sauce was sweet!

Garbage, fish was burnt to a crisp, fries were tasteless, burger was hard and thin. For the price of the food I should be getting something edible. Staff wasn't wearing hair nets either, so I found hair in my food. Be warned

Went thru drive thru and only ordered a french frie, it took 20 minutes and they weren't cooked.

Truro location: Since the dining room was closed at 6: 34pm on a Saturday, I was forced to use the drive-thru. When I pulled up, the server was quick to ask what my order was and since i was unfamiliar with the menu I blurted out 3 piece fish and chips with a fountain pop thinking it had to be less expensive than a sit-down restaurant. In retrospect, I should have asked for more time because I was wrong. When she said $25.63 I asked if she rang it in correctly. Apparently so. At this price for fast food, it should be great. Right? It was not. The fries were ok but the 3 very small pieces of fish should have been thrown back. Super crispy and greasy on the outside while still having gooey batter on the inside. Since the fish itself was bland and not firm at all, it was hard to tell the fish from the glue-batter. This will be my last visit because I know Truro has great fish and chips at local restaurants where I can just ask for take-out.

Great English style fish and chips at reasonable prices. We always drop by for take out every time we find ourselves in town.

I live in halifax now but i grew up in Truro. I get deluxe cravings when i am away and always get it when i’m back home visiting.one of last few real diners
