Dixie Lee Family Restaurant

Used to go eat out here alot until I moved away in 2015 (I was a child back then) Loved their food, especially their fries that have ridges.

This is a family favourite restaurant, the best fried chicken in Nova Scotia. Several times a year, we make the 2-hour drive to Liverpool for the tasty treat.

We ordered a fish Snack it cost us $15. Dollars each. All we got was mostly fries. We got a little peace of fish witch was old when u tasted it. My bf had 1shrimp witch u could not stick your fork into. I only had 2 shrip n we had 2 scallops witch wasn't cooked. I think they should stay to cooking chicken. We took the sea food n fed it to our cat. It was so bad that all I ate was my fries. So disappointed.

Not my cup of tea, but a lot of people seem to like it. I found it bland. Service was quite good though.

Came after real challenges in Lunenburg. So much quieter, the chicken was fabulous - took some home. Excellent internal restaurant and bathroom space for wheelchair accomodation!

Dixie has stolen my heart.
I find myself having an Anthony Bourdain moment whenever I eat there.
The staff are super cool, and friendly and the chicken, well, you need to try the chicken for yourself. I can't describe how good it is in words.
We love to grab take out and dine along the water front or in the local park.

What a find! Don't listen to any naysayers! Place has tasty thin coated crispy chicken. It was delicious. I had a breast pice and it was not dried out!
We got their Wednesday special, 2 snack size (which is NOT snack size, it's filling!) For 14.49.
Well worth it.
Time we were here was about 11: 20 am
For sure a hidden Gem we will be back to!

I would like to highly recommend Dixie Lee and their employee Korben for their exceptional service and delicious food. Dixie Lee is a fantastic restaurant that serves some of the best fried chicken and sides I have ever tasted, and Korben is an outstanding employee who goes above and beyond to ensure every customer is satisfied.

Firstly, the food at Dixie Lee is simply amazing. The fried chicken is crispy, juicy, and full of flavor, and the sides are the perfect complement. The chicken macaroni is excellent, complimented by the coleslaw which is fresh and tangy. Additionally, the portions are very generous, and the prices are very reasonable, making Dixie Lee an excellent value for money.

However, what really sets Dixie Lee apart from other restaurants is their outstanding service, thanks in large part to Korben. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and a friendly welcome. Korben was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped me choose the perfect meal. He was also very attentive throughout my entire meal, checking in frequently to ensure everything was to my liking and offering additional drinks or sides as needed.

Overall, I can't recommend Dixie Lee and Korben highly enough. If you're looking for delicious fried chicken and exceptional service, this is the place to go. Five stars all around!

The food would have been good if it wasn't so salty. The gravy and the chicken had an excessive amount of salt. The macaroni salad was amazing
