Duncan's Pub

We were looking for a place to eat since we were passing by and super hungry. Local recommended this spot. I didn't take any pictures as we gobled everything up. The food was really good! Everything was fresh and delicious. The lunch portions are quite large and are good price. This place will be our 1st stop next time we are in the area. Totally recommend!

Walking in, this place smells like ammonia and old cigarettes. Owners really need to do something about it because it does not represent the quality of their food and service.

This was some of the best food I’ve had in a long time. Wings were the description of perfection. Only wish they made their own sauce for them. Also had the fish and chip.

If I was to return to Amherst, this would definitely be a place I would revisit.

Best fish and chips in Amherst. Possibly even Cumberland county…

Bacon wrapped scallops were cooked perfectly as well.

Had heard that they had great food so stopped in about 2: 30 on a Sunday afternoon thinking we'd be out of luck getting a meal. However, we were informed we could order anything from the menu. Since we hadn't had lunch, we decided to order full entrees. Place was empty when we arrived but by the time we left there were about 10 other diners. Food was very good and bill was reasonable for dinner choices, 3 glasses of wine and 1 incredible dessert! Only drawback was slight cigarettes smell. Since smoking in restaurants has not been allowed for a very long time, it's either permeating through paint or staff smoke on site. However, not enough to stop us from returning.

They did a great job modifying my meal to be Gluten Free. Good food, good portions at a good price.

I haven’t been to Duncan’s for lunch in a while. Today I ordered their pesto chicken wrap. It was absolutely disgusting the menu says it is made with pesto aoli but it’s made with miracle whip which is not the same as aoli, the sugar flavour of the miracle whip overpowered the pesto there was maybe one sundried tomato on the whole wrap. I won’t be returning

Friendly waitress. Good prices. Love the pub chairs. Lasagna soup was delicious.
A smell of cigarette smoke as you enter (possibly in the old carpet). Barely any wifi service and none available to the public.
Had to return my dirty glass of water and had black, wilted lettuce in my wrap.

This is a wonderful pub to just sit and chat with friends and family and can even eat outside in the summer my only complaint would be inside sometimes feels way to cramped but other then that get place to go

We ate on the dog friendly patio. Great service and fantastic food. We'll definitely be back when we return to Nova Scotia.

Excellent food friendly service. Make reservations it is small place. Have eaten here many times over the years we always go back

1. Nachos were cold and chips were stale.
2. Had to pay extra for toppings and extra sour cream and salsa.
3. Took 25-30 minutes for food to arrive.
4. Service was good and we were checked on a good amount.

Unfortunately, the food was under prepared and ended up giving me food poisoning. I was extremely sick for 24 hours which resulted in a wasted trip to Amherst. Very Disappointing.

Everything about our experience was excellent! The prices were really great and so was the food! I had the chicken avocado salad. The dressing was epic. I wish I could buy it! My friend had the chicken Parm and said it was amazing and very filling.

We made a brief stop in Amherst for lunch and enjoyed a very down-to -earth experience. The menu offered something for everyone's desire. The waitstaff were friendly/accommodating and the food was good. It was quite dark (think British pub) inside but the seating was extremely comfortable.
