Dundee Resort & Golf Club

Great resort! The golf course is in excellent shape with spectacular views. The rooms were huge and nicely done and the balconies were wonderful to watch the sunset on. We had dinner in their restaurant and we were quiet please. Good service and great seafood.

I think this is going to be me & my husband's new get away location. The golf course is great, the staff is great, the food is great. The restaurant was packed as hell & we weren't able to get seating (even tho it looked like we saw empty tables), but we didn't mind having take-away in our room. I believe we heard talk about a wedding event or something, so we were very understanding & actually got to enjoy a dinner & a movie in our room anyway lol.

The staff at this property are all great! They all go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable.

The rooms were clean, very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting

Just had the 9th buddies trip to Dundee. The staff are fantastic, the food world class delicious and the golf sublime. Bring friends have a great time.

That is about all I can give a 1 really not worth $150 a night I understand we rented a chalet/cottage but it was definitely not worth it. The bedroom was very small that only a double bed fits in there (very poor mattress and pillows) my wife took the bedroom I took the pullout couch which was no better. Happy that I found this place because will never come back!

Tried to eat there. Roamed around the main reception building
because there was no one at the reception. Following the signs for the restaurant we found it closed/abandoned. As we were leaving we found another handwritten sign taped to the wall saying the restaurant was in another building. A gardener was the only employee around and told us to drive up to the clubhouse and gestured towards the road to get there. Arrived at the clubhouse and asked where we should park, three different employees said where we were parked was fine and were happy to seat us. Then some a$$hat supervisor stuck her head into an already solved issue and undermined the apologetic employees by telling us we had to drive back down the hill to the first parking lot and walk back up the the clubhouse. Get your act together. We left.

I didn't stay overnight so can't comment on the rooms. The restaurant food was delicious.

Edit: I worked 15 years in food and beverage managing restaurants (some in resorts) and am only being truthful.

Beautiful location and the staff are 5 star! The hotel room we were in was a bit dated, and the sound barriers are not good. We ate twice in the dining room, and while again the views and staff were wonderful, the food service was terrible both times. Our dinner meals took an hour and a half to come out, and they were both not cooked properly and made us sick the next day. We were still charged for most of it, and that was upsetting. The next morning we gave it another try for the breakfast buffet, and it was worse. The morning staff were not as friendly and the food was cold out of the chaffing dishes. Overall the only real disappointment was the dining experience.

Our second stay at Dundee, was as good as our first one. The staff are friendly and very welcoming, and always offering to help. The room is very comfortable and clean. Spectacular view from the beautiful and well maintained golf course, and at this time of the year the fall colours are fantastic. Looking forward to our next visit.

Lovely resort and golf club on the edge of Lake with amazing views. Reception staff really good, rooms very good. Breakfast staff excellent on the first day. However the restaurant staff in the evening and on the second day have given your resort a reduced score, a real shame. Totally disinterested and a complete inability to clear and clean tables in the restaurant. Hoping is a one off but feel strongly enough to make a point.

Room was next to the stairs so very loud with people going up and down. Needs some updating, fresh paint and a good clean.

We took one of the suites and stayed for one night, and luckly so. The suites are very old and had very bad smell (mix of urine and old furniture). I don't know if the rooms' conditions are better. Also, the breakfast was very bad.
The view however, as you can see in the photo, was great.

Stayed at the Dundee resort and was delighted by the staff and people there. Everyone was so kind and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The place is beautiful and the golf course is as well. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to travel to Nova Scotia. Be sure to try the butter chicken as it is to die for.

We requested a ground floor room because I have a physical disability and there is no elevator. We're told
upon check in no ground floor rooms were available. After a struggle to get upstairs, we find our room to be completely dirty, bed unmade, no linens or towels. Go back downstairs and the receptionist (Stephanie?) magically finds a ground floor room for us. Not a great start to our 4 days there.

We requested a room 'refresh' a couple of days later. We were gone for the entire day, got back and nothing had been done. We spoke to one of the housekeepers who very kindly took care of the situation. There is a definite lack of communication in the accommodation area of the resort.
Checking out was a confusing and slow process but I do appreciate that our room rate was adjusted automatically because we had to take a smaller room.
There were other minor hiccups but I think you get the idea.

On a positive note, the food in the restaurant was very good and the servers very friendly and helpful. The golf course was beautiful. The grounds are very clean and well kept, the beach very nice. Will we return? Doubtful. When the word 'resort' is attached to your name, I guess I expect a higher standard.

Unreal spot; great course, top location on the island, lots to do. Felt like the place was pretty short staffed and the rooms are a little dated, otherwise a great vacation spot. Will definitely be going back.

Had a wonderful stay for two nights. Beautiful room, great view of Bras d'Or Lake. Very picturesque. Staff extremely welcoming, food was prepared to perfection, and the East Coast music artists provided outstanding entertainment. Top marks to the management and staff.

We have done the all inclusive package for a few years and always had a great time but this year under new management we had a very poor experience. Absolutely no communication between the restaurant staff (contract with Scanway Catering) and the front desk. The restaurant staff did not understand the all inclusive details and asked us so sort out with the front desk instead of doing it themselves. That was an internal issue that should have been solved instead of making your guests do it. Service in the restaurant and clubhouse was bad (like being seated without menus or water yet we were the only table bad). We've enjoyed the past few years but based on all the changes we won't be back.

I’m going to review dinner in the dining room because of course the room was great, the people are great and the location is perfect. Dinner. Best butter chicken of my life! And I’ve had a lot of butter chicken. Perfect. Creamy. Spicy. Great naan. Samosa to start were also perfect. To top it all off, our server Akshit was excellent. Just the perfect amount of attention. What a great evening. Can’t wait to do it again tomorrow!

Golf course. OMG! What a beautiful, challenging course. Loved playing on it. We were a group of 9 people from ages 13-59 and everyone enjoyed our stay at Dundee. It’s a perfect family getaway
With activities like kayaking, hiking and a play area for the kids.
Will defntly visit again

Stayed at the resort for two nights. Beautiful location and excellent hospitality from the staff. Food was great!
Kids had a chance to go for kayaking as well, while I played and explored the beautiful 18 hole golf course. The landscape and view of the lake from the course is priceless.
Would like to spend more time on our next visit there!

We stayed in the hotel part of the resort, when we first got into the room the patio door was open/unlocked. We had a room with two double beds, there was no fitted sheet on either, just a flat sheet that kept coming off - there was no comforters on the bed, just a thin sheet - it was cold, so we asked for an extra blanket and was told housekeeping didn’t work past 9pm and we weren’t allowed an extra blanket. We called the next morning to get another blanket and they said it would be a few minutes, 3 hours later we had to call again for it. We killed 4 earwigs in the bathroom and multiple bugs in the room, including ants crawling on my pillow. There was no service on half the resort, and the wifi didn’t work the first day and half. Safe to say were very disappointed in our stay for the price we paid for a two nights stay, it was not worth it.

We were at this resort about 6 weeks ago and we all had a x very good trip. The weather was perfect. Highly recommend this resort if you are an avid golfer. Bring your camera.

This course has very nice views of the Bras D'or lakes but is insanely steep. It's on the side of a mountain. I like to walk when golfing so it doesn't lend well to that style of play. Fun to play though worth checking out.

Messed up room reservations even though we were first to book for their Ladies Invitational. Chaos at check in and we did not get rooms side by side.not even in same hall.
Practice round okay with marshal telling our blue flag player to do what was necessary to protect the course. She assured him she had been President of a golf club and knew how to protect the course. Late in round young pup named Bryce came up and ranted about the blue flag player being too close to the green.she was 15 feet from the fringe on high dry ground. Next day a marshal George McPhail refused to discuss blue flag play and harassed our group to speed up play even though we frequently saw the group in front of us and seldom saw the group behind. He kept popping up to check on us for about 6 holes until he found another group to harass. The buffet afterwards kept running out of food and at one point there was a 20 minute delay, with the staff complaining that they had already refilled it three times.
I've been playing this tournament since it's inception except for last year when my husband was ill. Will never go there again nor recommend it to anyone. It's a course very unfriendly to golfers with any physical impairment, factor notwithstanding.
Mr. Grewel's should know his resort is staffed by some very nasty rude people.

Amazing location, amazing people. Room was incredible. Will return. Only two concerns - lack of channels on the TV for the evening and the price of breakfast/quality was disappointing.

We stayed in the dated cabins. Hot as hell during the day due to no air conditioning, but did cool down at night if you had all the windows open and the 1 fan on non-stop.

The food was poor at all available restaurants. We were here for an event and the plate provided for the money charged was underwhelming. The burger we ordered from the clubhouse was not cooked and we had to return to get a refund.

The wait staff was amazing however. They did need more employees working though.

The facilities around the resort were good and offered enough for our family to keep busy the time we were here.
