Durty Nelly's Irish Pub

I often go to Durty Nellie's when in in Halifax. You're guaranteed a nice meal and if you're there at the right time some great music.

By fare the best pub in Halifax, the service is excellent, food is always delicious and a great beverage selection. I always recommend this pub to all my friends and family.

What an absolutely awesome afternoon out. Whenever I find myself at Durty Nelly’s I invariably end up asking myself why I don’t do this more often? Bruce and Jay’s musical adventure travelled to so many many wonderfully familiar places in so many powerful, foot stomping, table banging ways. The dance floor was full more often than not with a wonderful assortment of revellers of all ages. Just a clear cracker of an afternoon that I can’t wait to do again soon.

Hadn't been here in a very long time. Was lovely on a quiet Sunday evening. Very much the old country local pub atmosphere right down to the great young irish lady who served us. Keep on being durty Nelly!

Brunch lunch dinner or dancing. It can't be beat! Best Guinness in town and the live music is terrific. Lips of an angel always gets the crowd going!

Service was excellent and food was amazing! Everyone in our large group was very happy with the whole experience. We will be back!

Travelled across the country to come have a beautiful bowl of seafood chowder and was terribly disappointed. Although prices were decent and to be expected, the quality and lack of taste was quite shocking. If you are looking for a place to have world reknown Halifax seafood chowder, this is not it.

They take security and seating in this bar very seriously, with checking ID of older adults and not allowing groups to pull tables closer together. They have live music many nights of the week. The bar is close to convention center and is busy Sunday to Wednesday, in addition to being busy on weekends.

We went here during a holiday when not a lot of restaurants are open. We had the brunch menu, got the normal continental breakfast plate called Nelly's Breakfast, nothing special. The beef in the stew is soft, i don't like the stew so much. But the chowder was great, it lived up to the hype. Overall, i would say nothing special with the brunch menu, not a lot to choose from as well. The cocktails were great though! Prices are average in the area. Will be back, for sure!

Wouldn't let us in cause one of our group had 1 piece of ID not 2? They didn't make the rest of us or me show 2 pieces? They are all over 21 so that didn't make any sense. Not gonna get 4 people's business then too bad

We always enjoy stopping here for a tasty bite to eat. Service is great and the patio is large but the music can get exceptionally loud at times. Overall, one of the best pubs in Halifax.

Fish burger tasted like it was frozen too long and was greasy. Nice bun and sauce. Fries and onion rings average. Great service. Friendly happy people all ages.

Great pub with plenty of seating. We sat outside with our dog, and the waitress brought her a dish of cold water. Seafood chowder with brown bread was amazing. They made a delicious dark and stormy. Sticky toffee pudding sauce was delish too!

Had to make reservation it was busy the time you came I guess would you call happy hour so it was totally busy had to wait a little for the food but once the food got there it was good.
