My dog was not well. They were able to see me same day and scheduled all treatments promptly. The front desk staff helped me with a problem with my insurance (treatment was originally denied but she was able to get that overturned). All while being understaffed. They were very helpful and patient with my questions.

The staff are incredibly friendly and compassionate.

I had recently moved to the area, and my beloved Sammy was not feeling well so they gave me an appointment on very short notice.

Although I was not prepared for the unsettling news about how severely ill my cat was, Dr McGrath and her team demonstrated great empathy and gave me the information I needed to make the toughest decision of my life.

They realize that it is difficult to accept the loss of a family member, and patiently guided me to making the most compassionate decision.

I am glad that I chose this clinic and forever grateful that they were there for me and Sammy at this critical moment.

I was able to say farewell to my dearest friend for the last 15 years and ensure that he did not suffer any longer.

It will take me some time to recover from this, but the great care that the staff have taken has allowed me to gain greater closure. They respectfully handled Sammy's remains and positioned him in a way that made it easier for my family to see him in the last moments before we buried him. It was less traumatic for us to see him curled up as if he was sleeping, reminiscent of how he looked every night in his bed.

This level of attention to detail clearly demonstrates the compassion they have for each of their patients and they know how to put the families at ease in those difficult times.

The next time I went in, I had a lot of questions and the Dr.took the time to hear me out and provided me with the answers I needed to process what happened.

I recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a compassionate, cat-friendly environment to care for their feline companions.

The entire team is amazing; but especially Dr. Rawlings and Dr. Pollard. Dr. Rawlings has been incredible with my girl since day 1, and has massively helped. She has talked me through all treatment options and helped me make the best choices, as well as telling me the possible diagnostic and treatment plans that may be needed in the future so that I have a clear picture. Dr. Pollard performed a dental surgery on my dog and called before surgery to discuss a concern, and while nervous after the call, she left me without any questions or confusion. After surgery was done she called to let me know it went well, and sent her home with an information package on the concern. Her healing went amazing and I cannot think of one thing I would change about this care team. The entire office has been amazing, and we will never go to anyone else now.

My 18 y/o siamese mix has been a client of EPVV for the last five years. We are truly fortunate to have such a great vet practice so close to home. Over the last year, we have been weekly visitors to EPVV as my senior kitty has been diagnosed with Kidney disease - everyone knows her by name too.
Dr Bush has been incredible at helping us navigate her illness by clear instructions, weekly subcutaneous fluids and regular blood/urine panel and blood pressure checks. I find although my kitty is sick, she is comfortable because she has an incredible care team. I am grateful that we have a very helpful vet practice to look after us.

If you own a cat, this practice is for you!

Had a bit of an issue with my cat, my son called they took us right away and resolved the issue immediately I highly recommend this place. The prices compared to other places are much better

Highly recommend Eastern Passage Vet. Every single member of their staff has your pet in their best interests. Our sweet kitten fell very ill, and the support for our little family and kitten was amazing. They made the process as easy as possible in really hard times.

I have been going to this company for 12 years. In the last 18 months I have had 3 terrible experiences with unprofessional veterinarian's (not techs). The lastest being McGrath. She appears to hate dogs. She's a cat person only. As long as a person like this is employed there we will not be back.

They take advantage of the people who love there pets…. Want you to test for things that arnt needed… TOTAL RIP OFF THERE

I’m becoming frustrated with this clinic. Wait times are long, as when I went in Tuesday for an appointment we wait and a quick check in too an hour due to an emergency, but when I’ve called to see if my pet could be seen asap due to an emergency, I was told I need an appointment. I was also told there was no pill version of prednisolone available “anywhere in NS” so got it in liquid form but other vets I happened to call after said they had pills in stock and hadn’t heard of that issue. Today, I was just over charged for a blood test by 150$. If I hadn’t had a print off of the estimate I wouldn’t have known the difference, so luckily I could call and the refund will be processed. It makes me feel less confident that the tests being done and sent off are accurate, as well as the charting and results etc if there is not consistent communication and oversight of these things. I just feel like there could be improvement. The staff are friendly at least, no issues there, just seems disorganized and lack of consistency. Losing faith in the clinic.

Staff are extremely friendly, engaging and knowledgeable! Reasonable prices and they belief in the pet's health (physical and psychological) before all else.

They are amazing people. Every single one of them is amazing. The amount of patience they have towards people and our beloved pets is astounding! They are professionals that love their jobs and you know it hurts them just as much as it hurts you when you have to bring your pets to them. They treat your pet like their own; you're in good hands if you have to bring them here.

Always pleased with the help we get at passage vet. They’re always so quick to help! Everyone is friendly.

I went to this animal hospital to put my family dog sleep tonight, and I could not have imagined a better experience. It was so peaceful. Dr. Pollard was so kind and compassionate. We truly felt like she really cared for our dog, and for us through the whole interaction. We had alot of mixed feelings putting our dog down, despite knowing with her condition it was time. But Dr. Pollard really tried to be the person she needed when putting her animals to sleep, and gave us the reassurance we needed. All of the staff we had the pleasure of dealing with during this difficult time was exceptional. We really cant thank you enough for giving us the time and compassion we needed. Being informative, respectful and patient with us, will always color this tough experience as the best it possibly could be. You truly welcomed us, and our dog as a member of your own family. We felt so comfortable, and relieved leaving there. We really cannot thank you enough for all that you did for us this evening.

We brought our chocolate lab in to cross the rainbow bridge. The staff was very empathic, calming and really understand the emotional side of it. Having a separate entrance was nice.

I have neen though many vets over the years and very grateful to have found this one. They are the best in the city! Hands down! Especially for cats. I have 6 and my oldest passed last March. I have been going here for the last 9 years.

They are loving, compassionate people who treat your cat like it was there own.

know lots of cat rescuers who have nothing but wonderful things to say about this Hospital.

The staff are very patient and kind. My little guy is very timid and doesn't like any procedures being done on him, especially getting his nails trimmed. They do a wonderful job every time, he's not nearly as loud and dramatic as he was anywhere else! Their prices are very good and reasonable too. No unexpected costs on any of my bills.
