Update. I used this company 2 years ago to re-shingle the roof on my house. The crew completed the job in one week, and I paid them in full upon completion with an RBC bank certified draft. The roof started to leak not long after, first in one of the bedrooms on the second floor, then around the chimney then again in the other bedrooms. Adam, "the owner of the company" responded four times to assess the problem and chalked around areas wear he located problems but the leakage still continued around the ridge vent area that his crew installed. I requested that they remove the ridge vent and re-shingle the ridge without the vent. Adam suggested that he could install a metal sheet over the top of ridge vent along the entire length of the roof, " my choice of colour". I spoke with the building inspector in Digby about that but he did not recommend it.
I texted Adam this May 2022. He stated that he would would return to address the leak problem. Adam never came back. In July 2022, I located another roof contractor to remove the ridge vent to stop the leaking. In August 2022 the new contractor removed the ridge vent and discovered that the vent was not installed properly. The manufacturers guide requires a small 1 3/4" to 2" opening on each side at the roof apex. It was discovered after the vent was removed, that a large 4" wide opening was cut on the south side of the apex which was too large for coverage or to prevent leakage especially in windy conditions. The new roof repair cost me an additional $4000 to correct the leak problem.
I sent all receipts and photos of the repair to Adam in August "at his request", to reimburse me for the additional cost. I have not heard from Adam since.

However if you do hire this contractor, do not let them install a Ridge Vent for your own peace of mind.

East Roofing was able to complete the roof on our new summer home in Nova Scotia even though we live in Daytona Beach, Florida. Adam answered every email and kept us in the loop throughout the process. Once the work started, we had a beautiful new roof with a superior warranty on our 1905 farmhouse on the Bay of Fundy within a week. They are definitely a 5 star company.
