Ed's Take Out

Threw up right after eating here, called and spoke to the owner-/grandson, to let him know to prevent others from getting sick from the onion rings and all he did was passed my call off as though I was lying to him. Therefore we haven't been back since (whereas I would have as I know it could have just been that sole bag of onion rings that was bad), had he just shown even the tiniest bit of concern but instead denied there could even been the slightest issue with it as it was a new bag open (his words) and basically told me I was making it all up.
Well personally I don't care to risk my health eating at any place that has zero concern about the quality of ood they're serving! Hard pass!

Roadside drive in, with picnic tables and some indoor tables. Food has improved over the years, lighter, less oily taste to the fried foods.

We have always enjoyed the food from Ed's, and recently I went to get some takeout and realized how much I enjoy the people at Ed's. Awesome people making awesome food. Thank you for being part of our community!

The only thing that outclasses the quality of the food there is the quality of the staff. We had a burger and fish n chips and both rocked our world but the fish n chips really shook me. By far the best I've had after 3 weeks of touring Nova Scotia. I traveled the many miles of this beautiful province in our yellow vintage boler searching for something that would top Ed's take-out but left disappointed. The good news is that I know where to go next time I am around. Prices we're great as well!

So good! Everyone on staff was really friendly, too. The light batter on the fish and chips was tasty and had a nice texture, and the fish was clearly good quality. Both the home fries (which I had) and regular fries (my partner had) were great, but home fries better I think. Burger was a lot bigger than we were expecting. Just all around really good and looking forward to going back

Was not happy, the fish didn't look like fish at all it was like it was the left overs of the day

Had the Brycen burger and home fries. Delicious tender patties, tasty sauce, and the fries were so good.

Overall the food is good but we were disappointed that they did not have any scallops available. The non-seafood options are really not great so try the seafood if possible.
