We stopped by here and visited the cemetery behind the church. More for research of some of the same names as is in our family in South Louisiana.

Very disappointed it wasn't open like it said it was on the front of the building and online.

Heartbreaking that this amazing historic landmark has been let fall to ruin. Five stars for it's historic significance and former magnificence.

This Church is warm to my heart because my great great grandfather built it.this is a man who couldnt read or write.and the amazing work he did and the beauty he gave her is remarkable. Leo Melanson gave our community a beautiful historic Church.

Going back to view the inside, last year it was closed by the time I got there.
For what I seen I'm very impressed by its size and historical beauty.

A wonderful place to visit!
I would love to see a mass here but went during museum hours.
It costs $2 to enter, but I would urge you to upgrade that to a bill if you're able.
If you're a history buff, Catholic, spiritual, or just like pretty things, this place will interest you! Every thing has a brief but informative description: From stained glass, to statues, relics (one from the cross!), and many other things used in the former Catholic Latin Mass. (if you're a Catholic Traditionalist, this is your Nova Scotian Graceland.)
When you're close, you'll see the steeple before you see the church and it is astounding. You won't understand how high the church is until you see it.
A must visit.
