Absolutely great staff. I wish I had of got his name but our waiter was fantastic. Super friendly, and made every table feel special. Rare to get that great of service. It Was very busy and he seemed to be the only one working the front. Although it was a tad slow due to how busy it was, the service and food was defiantly worth the wait. Will definitely be back.

Girl at the front "hostess" was extremely rude. Didn't even bother to stay.

Service is excellent, food outstanding. Came here 2 days in a row had the omelette and eggs Benny, husband had hungry hippo and breakfast sandwich. The jalapeno potato latkes are so yummy. Coffee is non-stop refills and very good. Also has the cinnamon roll with maple syrup icing.yuuuummmy! Make a reservation, usually lineup out the door.

The food was good but we had to wait nearly an hour for it to come. Many customers who came and were seated after us received their food within 10-15 minutes. After waiting half an hour, the waitress came and told us that one of the items we ordered couldn't be made; why this took so long for them to realize is a mystery to me. After we received our food, the waitress told us that she forgot about one of the other items we ordered. We waited so long just to not even receive the meal we had originally ordered. Definitely would not recommend this place to anyone I know.

Been here 2 times.food is good, thats the only reason why i havent put 2 stars.first time service was slow but ok.this time, it took 15 min just to have a coffee and from the order to the time i've got my breakfast 50 minutes.place was 3/4 full so i expect some delay but 50 min, is way too much.i'll find another place next time.

Wow! I just discovered that place on my first day in Halifax and everything is just so perfect! The personnalized and attentive service, really cool music and vibes and the food is just perfect and delicious. Oh and the coffee.just the best coffee to start the day! Thank you I will come back for sure!

Wish we had found this place on the first day of our trip because we definitely would have returned! Great food, great value and fantastic service. It was very busy but the lovely servers worked so hard and were so pleasant. Thank you for an excellent meal!

Servers were fantastic! Although my pancake had eggshells in it, which stopped me from continuing to eat the second one unfortunately.

The server was only on her second day and she was so sweet and great! The comfort wrap so delicious. It was my first time there and the portion sizes with the prices was a great deal highly recommend.

We were so excited after reading reviews to go here but it was extremely dark fir a breakfast place and not clean or well kept. Food was ordinary and not that special.

On our recent trip to Halifax my husband and I went here three of the mornings for breakfast. It was delicious! The food was good, the coffee was great and the service was fantastic. They are busy but it's worth the wait!

Excellent, delicious eggs Benny.we had seafood and smoked salmon and both were perfect!
Service was attentive, coffee is yummy (and they have medium or dark roast!) the atmosphere is cozy and clean.

We had breakfast at Elle's three times on our short vacation to Halifax. Excellent food and service everytime. Thanks to our server Steph for the recommendations and friendliness. Biggest pancake you'll ever see is at Elle's. Go check it out.

A busy restaurant because they currently have a slightly reduced staff, but the staff was so friendly and fun. Good variety of vegetarian options, especially in a meat-based-breakfast restaurant. Unfortunately, when I was in they were out of their veggie burger and tacos. Vegetarian options were not marked on the menu.

Wow! Just simply wow. This breakfast place is outstanding. Amazing service, great prices, food quality was top notch and a great menu selection. It does get very busy, especially on weekends so be prepared. Also, not much parking. Worth the experience though.

Delicious food! Had the bacon Benny and came back the next morning for another. Very reasonable prices for a fabulous breakfast. Must visit when in Halifax!

I really liked how the French toast wasn't too sweet, that was left up to me. I enjoyed two of the four slices with just butter, one with a sausage (also delicious), and just one with syrup!
The chowder has amazing flavour, like no other.
Honestly I can't say enough good things. They were training some new staff (staff shortages EVERYWHERE!) but everyone was very friendly and prompt.they were all trying their best and doing a great job.
We will definitely be back, can't wait!

This is one of the only breakfast restaurants in the area, and they had lobster eggs Benedict so we gave them a try. Service was great, food was as expected for a typical “greasy spoon”. The sad part was the attitude and treatment by the owner. After eating half of my meal, I found a long blond hair in my mouth. This sort of thing is unfortunate, but it happens even in the best of restaurants. We brought it to the server’s attention, but didn’t make a big deal about it. However, the bill still had everything we ordered on it. I asked the owner, “Are you going to make me pay for all of this? ” Her reply was, “I’ll take the coffees off, you almost finished the meal! ” Is it relevant when the hair was discovered? She was implying I “planted” it! (We both have dark brown hair). When I questioned her, she ducked around the corner. I paid and left, no need to make a scene. Poor leadership on so many levels - good luck retaining your competent staff.

Outstanding! We came back day after day, couldn't get enough! Who knew brown butter makes the MOST delicious hollandaise sauce? ! I do now!
Fabulous lobster Benny.chunks of buttery lobster on a truly amazing tea biscuit with perfectly poached eggs and fresh home fries.wow! This place should be on lobster destination lists, or bucket lists!
We've been raving for days, everything we had was superb from coffee to food to service. Make a reservation, they get very busy but it's worth it if you need to wait in line to get in

Seated us, but then never came to check on us or take our order. Unfortunately walked out after 20 minutes of waiting. Don’t sit by the front window as you will be forgotten

Smoked salmon Eggs Benny was delicious! Service was fantastic! Cramped tables place but I love it! Go when not a peak time and than lots of elbow room.

Order the lobster eggs benny, was very disappointed wasn’t told that it was not traditional eggs benny, was on a biscuit with a brown “ hollandaise” sauce, no where on the menu did it indicate any of this. Had it remade which was nice of them, but it was still lack lustre and disappointing along with only remaking half of it say i ate half (when it was really just mush on my plate). And for 37$ it should be amazing.

I understand that some people have certainly tastes, but I wouldn’t have ordered it at all if I would have know how different it was, it wasn’t what is traditionally done so putting it on the menu with no explanation on the menu or having your server explain nothing about it was the biggest problem, also the less than half i did it was disappointing, I’m not trying to get free food but I would like to have the food i paid for be enjoyable. I dont write many reviews (i cant actually remember ever making one, but this was so very disappointing that i felt i had to. I dont try to hurt businesses, but i also try to tell the truth, i looked up the restaurant before coming and everything looked great, i even had referrals to the restaurant from locals online. If someone had left a review saying what it was like I wouldn’t have came because “ i have different tastes”

I had the same dish (lobster eggs benny) at the bluenose2 the day before and it was literally the most amazing breakfast ive ever had, I literally
said I would eat it every day if I could, i was hoping for a repeat of another great experience.

Ps 37$ was after taxes which is why i said that.

I love Elle's. Eggs Benny - yes please. Hashbrowns are so tasty. However, I'd advise against the chocolate orange milkshake, only because it was a little too orangey. The apple pie milkshake is lovely
