Great service and food is good for the price.

UPDATE: Aug, 2023. Not a big fan of the fish and chips. The dish was thick torpedo shaped fillers, approx 1 inch. Would have been 5 stars based on thickness and quantity, however, needed to be cooked more.

Worse restaurant meal I’ve had in years! Low quality ingredients, luke warm, over priced! Stay away!

Awesome food and very awesome service. My last waitress was Stephanie Anderson on my last visit. She is an awesome waitress. She had our food to the table very promptly. She came back and checked to make sure everything was good. She is very very friendly and bubbly. She is an a very major asset to the company and business. Because of her I will most definitely be back to eat at the Enfield Big Stop.

My wife and I stopped in for a later meal on 2021-10-06 @ 1900 hrs. I ordered a two piece fish and chips. When it arrived it looking very appealing. I open the piece of fish and the batter was very thick and uncooked and gooey. The amount of fish in the batter was almost not existent. I spoke to the server, who was very pleasant. I explained the situation and she took the pieces of fish from the plate and returned them to the kitchen. I advised that I didn't want the deep fried fish if that was what it was going to look like. I asked for a piece of pan fried fish instead. So I was left for the next 10 plus minutes with a plate of fries that were cooling off like water in the freezer. Finally the fish arrived. The server realized that the fries were likely cold at that point and offered to replace them. I declined her offer and proceeded to eat the pan fried fish that was brought out. The only thing positive about that fish was it was hot. It was dry and tasteless. I paid for my meal ($14.39) said thank you to the server and explained that this quality of food was unacceptable. No offer of remediation was made for the poor meal. This is so uncharacteristic for an Irving Big Stop. However, I won't be going back anytime soon. I only give this 1 star because I can't post without a star assigned. Otherwise this is a ZERO.

I love coming to the big stop. My favorite place to go with my bestie from work. Everytime we go in there we ask to be seated in Stephanie's area and she is our favorite waitress.always smiling and laughing.nothing makes for a great dine in experience than having her there.we will even ask if we dont see her to see if she is working. Always try to go when she is there.the wait staff are all aweskme people.its extremely clean and always see them running around cleaning everything and always helping each other out, especially when they are busy, with running food to each others tables, to grabbing a refill of something. STEPHANIE YOU ROCK GIRL!

The food was great and my original server Aimee was awesome made sure I was well taken care of till shift change the her replacement Stephanie was no where to be found another server Dawn took care of me. Then to here my server Stephanie bashing me because of my weight and looks.which I just got out of the shower and stopped in the dining room for dinner while I was here. Because I'm a truck driver I probably won't get a chance to get a hot meal again today. People have no respect for us drivers. Considering I just pumped 750 litres of diesel there and $35 for dinner.we're keeping your doors open

Club House was thick and delicious and served with a very generous salad! The service was really fast and our waitress, Jessie was great!

Expect large plates of food and friendly service. Their milkshakes are so so good! They were thoroughly sanitizing after every guest and the food came quickly after we ordered it. Hot and as ordered! I can't wait to come back:)

Wide-open spacious dining area. Well decorated with a casual atmosphere. Friendly staff. Great menu to select from. Try the Bacon Burgers!

Honestly, the best part was the coffee & Sherri who stopped and brought us dessert and coffee. I do understand pandemic protocol but this was the worse experience. My food was literally cold when I received it. My clams were lukewarm at best and my fries were the texture of what you expect from what you make at home in the oven. My friend said to me as; we walked in, "I hope they have coconut cream pie because I'm dying for a piece. Another disappointment. She said it didn't have enough sweetness and found it bland. I asked how the fries were cooked and I was assured they were deep fried. Actually I lie; the best part was the hot guy sitting with his parents across the room. He looked, yeah I stared, whatever he was stunningly beautiful. I was stunned. I digress.she proceeded to say that another table was having issues with their food too. Hmm We did not have the same server. The restaurant was not that busy to be honest for the time of day. At almost $19 a plate, I felt that it lacked for the price. Clams are in season, but the batter wasn't great but again they were not hot. Since the restaurant changed over to Compass menu, it's just not the same. I spent many years growing up during the summer in Enfield. Stopping at The Big Stop was a big deal. In my younger adult years, I frequented it Saturday and Sunday. I delivered papers from the printer, stopping to grab the freshest of loaves of bread from a bakery on our way bake. Long and short of it is, the disappointment of not seeing some nostalgia reminded why I stayed away.

We visited with vermeulen family, went home with fresh cows milk THEN we went to lunch. Had clubhouse sister had clubhouse hubby had turkey noodle soup. Enjoyed by all. Stay safe

Great place to have a good meal at a decent price range. Lots to choose from and great portions. Friendly service and atmosphere. Planning to return here as often as possible.

Was admonished like a 5 year old by the waiting staff for hanging my winter jacket on the booth divider. Very passive aggressive staff. Made me lose my appetite. Family reported food was luke warm and omelet was not good. Would rather stop at Tim Hortons or the store.

Great food. Lots of parking. Has a great fenced in area just for dogs to relieve themselves they even supply dog bags for waste clean up. The staff always nice. Thumbs up for this location. I was there today ordered a meal online. They brought it out to the car. It was nice and hot ready when they said it would be. Excellent experience no complaints.

It was ok but had to keep asking for them to bring things like the water we ordered or the gravy plus things like condiments.

Amazing as always! Today my two year old son and I went in for our post covid lockdown date! He can be a handful sometimes but the server was more than accommodating and went above and beyond to interact with him.

The sanitization and social distancing efforts were impeccable.

The food was delicious. I had the clubhouse with hashbrowns and gravy, and my son had the chicken fingers and fries.

On a Sunday morning we waited 20 mins just to get a drink order. Waited another 20 mins to get our food ordered. Waited a good 40 mins to actually get the food. The waiter was rude and ignored us the whole time, I had to chase her down the aisle to get the bill. Many times she walked by our table and wouldn't stop for us even though we waved/ yelled at her. Then she took a tip from my cash payment without asking.

Love it. Their food is excellent and they have a great deal on the holidays for turkey dinners. Coming here is now a tradition.

My wife had ordered the ribs and sweet potato fries. The ribs were terrible. Under cooked and full of fat. The waitress could not believe that they could serve anything like that. We still ended up paying almost 8.00 for the sweet potato fries. We will never be back inside of a Big Stop restaurant again. This is our 3rd straight bad experience with the Irving Big Stops. The other 2 times were in Truro, both at breakfast time. If people want a great meal head to Glenholme to the Petr Can. The meals are to die for!

There's a reason why people choose Irving Big Stops. Plentiful seating, delicious, home-cooked meals, down-home, charming servers, sparkling restroom facilities, the ideal stop for travelers.

People were great I had ordered a chicken quesadilla the chicken was rubbery and the tortilla wasn’t cooked the cheese wasn’t melted I had thought I was fine but started getting sick a hour ago and felt fine before I had eaten there I’ve ordered the same thing in aulac nb and have never had one taste like it did

Great location, good food and clean showers. Only draw back here is that they advertise free Internet when there is actually no internet available. You can hook to their router but it has no internet connection. I advised the staff inside to no avail. As a person who uses the internet extensively while on the road for communication with loved ones, this was a huge disappointment.

Tara was the best waitress ever! She makes sure you get enough fries even when you HAVE to share them with your wife lol

Fast and friendly service. Good food.portion size. Great Bang for your buck. Lots of space for for the big truck and RVs. Large connected convience and gift shop. Huge coffee and teas selection for on the go.

The food here is always great, the service is always prompt and accurate, the staff are extremely friendly, all great reasons to have dinner here. The acoustics of the room are a little less than ideal so keep in mind it might get a little loud but that's the only downfall!

Used to be a lot better. The quality of the food is terrible. The last few times I've gone, was nothing but disappointment. Fries tasted freezer burned and food is clearly all cooked on the same grill together. All the food tastes of each other and charred. Went AGAIN recently (Oct 28,2019) yet again beyond dissatisfied. SAVE YOUR MONEY. GO ELSEWHERE.

Their food is horrible. Would never eat here again. This big stop is nothing what it was like years ago. Its worse. The staff seem alright. Atmosphere is good. But don't ear there. Ekkk

Felt very rushed at a time when the restaurant was 80% empty. Our waitress was visibly annoyed when we asked for coffee or drink refills.
Very very bland tasteless food slopped into a plate and bowl. My burger had a very odd tasting green sauce on it, I asked what it was because there is no mention of it on the menu, our waitress said it was a "signature avocado spread" Um.okay avocado makes me sick and again it WASN'T MENTIONED ON THE MENU. Waitress told me to scrape it off. Fortunately it was smeared between some lettuce and the bottom bun, so I removed that, I cut into my now "open-faced" burger and it wasn't cooked, still cold to the touch in the middle. I ate my fries while waiting for our waitress. My friend got chicken poutine and the gravy was like gelatin, there were large clumps throughout the "gravy" and her food was burn yourself hot in some spots and ice cold in other spots. Obviously it was premade and then microwaved. When we finally got the attention of our waitress and told her my burger wasn't cooked, and my friends "chicken poutine" was lumpy, Jello consistent gravy and ice cold in spots; she looked at me and suggested I get my uncooked burger in a container to take home, and told my friend if she wanted her food hotter she could put it in the microwave to "warm it up". In our small party of 3, none of us finished our meal, more that 3/4 of each plate was left on the plate, we waited.and waited for our waitress in a restaurant that was around 8% occupied. When we asked yet again for a manager the waitress ignored out request; and instead we were given our bill. We left the exact amount of the bill in cash; and obviously but understandably left no tip at all. Wrote our names, a contact number on the back of the bill asking for a manager to please make contact. Just about 7 weeks later and still no word, contact or call from a manager. This kind of sub par kind of "service and TOTAL LACK OF SERVICE WAS, IS, AND SHOULD BE EXPECTED FROM ANY IRVING RESTAURANT, GAS STATION AND EVEN AT ANY GIVEN IRVING OWNED OR OPERATED BUSINESS INCLUDING OFFICE OF IRVING.
We went into the store section of the gas station, bought some fruit, 2 pastries and got better tasting coffee from the carafe in the gas station. That purchase should not have been necessary. But it tasted 100% better than the slop we were given in the "restaurant". Still no word from a manager in the restaurant.

**UPDATE** Three and a half months later and still no reply from Irving.
However they always seem to have time to comment on and reply to comments, or reviews that are positive and put Irving in a "positive light"

Really really good food the desserts are really good great wait staff cant say enough good about this stop i highly recommend only thing not open 24 hours a day thats the only reason 4 stars

We always eat here on our way back from Halifax, and so do alot of people we know, everyone speaks good of this Irving Big Stop, we've tried alot of different meals and I haven't found one I didn't like yet, there all good. Highly recommend this place.
