I had an eye exam on September 23rd and 5 weeks later I still have no glasses and they are saying it could take up to 12 weeks. When I asked about a refund to go someplace that is not so backed up I was told no. As a diabetic with a change in prescription this is unacceptable! Giving 1 star only because 0 stars was not an option

When I need my eyes tested up until now I have gone to optometrists at “Eyes on Mumford and most recently to Eyes on Bedford”.
On August 11, I picked out glasses and took advantage of their 3 pairs for the price of 1 deal (which I now know borders on false advertising in my opinion).
I was told at the time it would take 4-6 weeks to get them because of backups at the lab they use. Around 5 weeks I went back to their store in Sunnyside Mall asking about my glasses and was told it would be 6-8 weeks. Approximately at 7 weeks I was told It could be more than 9 weeks. Earlier this week I was told that they had sent all their work to a new lab in Ontario. As of today it has been 11 weeks and 4 days.
Never during this whole ordeal was there ever any contact from them concerning my glasses even though they have all my contact information.
I am recommending that anyone that may be planning to use this company to wisely make a different choice.
Recently I have contacted several other optometrist office asking how long their perscription turn around time would be and the average answer was no more then 5 weeks.

I would not recommend this company. Called today to get an update on my glasses. The clerk told me when I purchased the glasses it would 6 - 8 weeks. Clerk informed me today it could be another 2 weeks. Not sure where they are getting the glasses made but 10 weeks for a set of glasses is not acceptable.

My dad who is nearly blind had waited over 4 months for his glasses to come in. They said they were sent over seas to be made! What the heck, then they called said the glasses were finally in and went I pick up and no, they weren’t in, had to wait another week.
Ridiculous service, stood in store for 10 mins before my dad yelled hello, then someone came from out back. When we were disgusted glasses were still not in the girl then yelled at us as we were leaving have a nice day in a snarky attitude.
Will NEVER return to this store and I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

I would recommend getting your eye tested here, if you dont mind the hour plus wait time to get into your appointment. There was no other customers waiting so unsure of the delay, maybe it was break time as my appointment was at 4.

I do not reccomend getting your eyewear here unless you like to wait 5 1/2 weeks or more like Idid. I was given multiple excuses on the delay from the dipper machine being broken, the doctor needing to pick up the glasses downtown and checking the prescription. I had an appointment to be fitted for contacts. That appointment also ran late, I was there waiting and they took other customers ahead of me.must have realized they forgot to give me the trial contacts to put in after taking the other customers, when I brought it to their attention, I have been waiting for an hour and told I was next.
Then there was suppose to be a deal with buying contacts, and after weeks of trying to get my offer, they told me the deal was no longer available by the manufacturing as it ended, this was weeks after I already paid.
Staff should know this before offering customers the promotion. This would have changed my mind before purchasing at the time of my $800+ payment. Costco would have been cheaper.

Staff are friendly and helpful as best they can be with their knowledge provided, however, very unorganized business. Save yourself some time and frustration, get your prescription eyewear elsewhere.

We just had an appointment and Emily was absolutely fantastic with my son! Her energy was so bubbly and fun.
We saw Dr Doman while we were here and she was so friendly and inviting. Made the eye appointment less scary for my son.

All the employees went above and beyond with helping me choosing new glasses. Emily was very helpful when I wasn't feeling the best and found some mints for me to bring my sugars back up. She also looked, for some time, to find me the perfect frames. Thanks to all that helped today.

I had my first eye exam with Dr Doman in over 10 years. She was great at explaining everything and even showed me my retinal scans which was so cool! When looking for frames, Ariel was so friendly and very helpful at explaining how to find the right frame to fit my head/face. Thanks Ariel & Dr Doman!

I received the news that I needed glasses and was a little lost. So many options, so many prices! As a first time glasses wearer, I really had no idea what I was doing. Kayla, Katy and Jocelyn were so helpful and explained everything very clearly over the several visits that I had. They were patient and understanding when I said that I needed to fully inform myself by going to other shops and even put a rush on the delivery of my glasses to ensure that I had them before travelling. Can highly recommend this location.

My experience with Eyes on Bedford has been an ongoing nightmare! $1000.00 dollars later and over a month and a half I am still waiting for my glasses. As other reviews stated they are slow and will not return your phone calls. Customer service is so poor! If you are lucky enough to speak to someone they always say they must look into it and will call back which they never do! Please take my advice and look else where for your Optometrist.you will be doing yourself a favour!

I would give zero stars if I could. Absolutely, positively DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. You could probably travel to another country and get glasses faster than they can turn around an order. Everything other than the exam has been awful.

My exam was fine - no issues. They're great for getting that done, and I was able to get some frames that I liked in store. The staff were really, really good at taking my money and charging my insurance, but that seems to be all they care about. It's been 8 weeks since I ordered my frames and lenses and I still have nothing functional to show for it, and the staff and manager have been dodging my phone calls and requests for updates. The last time I was able to reach someone they said they were "at the mercy of UPS" but haven't been able to provide me with a tracking number or whatever to back up their excuses - which are about as good and useful as the glasses I still haven't received. Don't waste your time like I did. This place is the worst.

Was in for first time and absolutely loved the place the staff was super friendly especially Emily. It was my wifes first pair of glasses and Emily made the experience very fun and easy. Highly recommend

Thank you for the amazing receptionist who worked at this location on Dec 16th 2021 at 5.31pm. I am so happy that you can cancelled my appointment for being 11mins, where I already called in and mentioned at 5 pm I am on the way, it's raining badly I will be late by 5 mins, it was difficult for me to keep my word, because weather was bad. They cancelled my appointment where they didn't call me and said, she should know what empathy is, or the management please coach her! And after all I dont want to get examined in a place where the doctor is crazy busy. I don't think they can do a good job. Again applause to the amazing lady there. Please learn to accommodate your clients. And you did a good job turning business away from you. Best of luck for the management for the amazing team that's running your location.

Everyone is very kind and accommodating. Sam and Katy went above and beyond and were very helpful! Dr Doman is very helpful and kind as well. Would recommend for anyone looking for a new eye doctor.
