So delicious! Best curry we’ve had in Halifax! We were encouraged when a bunch of Indian cricket players came in, and we could understand why they were there once our food came! We will definitely be back!

Taste of Papdi chat was super yummy. Had amezing experience to ate authentic Punjabi food as I ate in Amritsar, Punjab earlier.service was good & staff are quite friendly.

Ordered and paid for garlic naan but got regular.didn't notice until I got home. Otherwise food is pretty decent, just prone to inflation like everything else.

Great taste and portion size is good for what you pay. Highly recommended for Indian food. We usually have vegetarian meals here and the taste truly deserves the high ratings you see for this place.

We really loved the momos and the ambience. The girl in the reception has a very good smile and is very welcoming. You should definitely visit this restaurant if you want something quick and tasty. Highly recommended.

Frankly outstanding taste. Most Indian places around Canada adjust their cuisine to tone everything down (heat and spice) but we’ve got the real unadulterated stuff at Famous Curry Garden. It won’t be for everyone (even those who believe they like Indian) but it is the real deal. On top of that, the portions are sized well, the food isn’t swimming in grease and the naans are delectable. Fantastic service as well. Highly recommended.

At least the portions were small! I was disappointed when the food arrived - the prices are a bit high so I expected a lot of food but for $100 we only got enough to feed 3 people.

Once I tasted it though I was happy there wasn't more. If you're looking for no flavour and extra spice then this is the place to be! Samosas we're fine if a bit plain, and the naan was good. But the butter chicken and palak paneer were tasteless and way too spicy. The rice was good I guess?

I still don't know where Halifax's premier Indian place is, but this definitely isn't it.

A gem of a restaurant in the north end of Halifax, we had the palak panner and the black lentil dal with naan bread. Amazing! Can't wait to go back again. We heard the food was awesome but it exceeded expectations. Love this place!

I had been wanting to go there for some time. Located on a quiet side street, the location is perfect. A nice walled patio awaits you in the back. Excellent selection of appetizers and mains and desserts. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The food is of course of this world. Everyone at our table loved their dishes. We started with an order of tandoori chicken for the table as an appetizer. Normally tandoori chicken can be on the dry side but this was so moist and delicious. The best! I had the butter chicken and it was probably one of the best butter chickens I've ever had. Also if you are going to have rice, get the jeera rice which is basmati rice laced with cumin seeds. Well worth the extra dollar! LOL
Can't wait to go back and try some more delicious offerings!

Took an hour to get food. Food was dry and not cooked well. It was a busy friday night I get it, but worst service I have ever experienced. Go ANYWHERE else.

Great place to eat outdoor and indoor seating. Beautiful Art display of trees inside and spectacular horse art work outside. Very creatively crafted Food and breads.

Was curious about this new curry spot so went for a date. SO GOOD! Lamb Briyani very tasty and spicy and had lots of lamb chunks. Naan and roti excellent vessels for the Saag Chicken curry. Amazing Onion Bhaji. Will be back!

I LOVE the food at this lovely restaurant! I have been blown away both times I've visited the place, both for the food and the amazing staff. So helpful and friendly. Tried the Chicken Tikka Masala first time, Saag Chicken this time, (both are excellent) and the Mushroom Matar Corn Curry is SUBLIME. Garlic Chilli Naan and Onion Bhaji are also essential. I will be back.

Tasty and unique flavours! A bit of a challenge to find kid friendly items due to the spice, but the little guy liked the garlic naan bread.

Ordered a dal makhni and angeer cofta curry. Dal makhni was kind of burnt. It tasted bitter. Worst dal makhni i ever had and their prices are very high and the size they offer is very low as compared to price. Please improve your food and price too.

Tried first time. Had Veg Kebab, Paneer Makhni, Mix Veg Korma, Garlic Chilli Naan, Garlic Naan. Taste was amazing especially Veg Kebab, Paneer makhni and Garlic Chilli naan was awesome. Very eye catching patios and with really nice staff.

Much better service, tasty foods in reasonable price.

We had a Birthday party of my Son in beautifully decorated Patio of Famous Curry Garden Restaurant. Everything was organized by restaurant manager and was perfect and better than expectation. Tasty Samosa, Mango Lassi and Snacks. We had a photo session too in the end.awesome!

The service was great, food came out very fast and the patio is lovely. Everything tastes so good, the spices and sauces all hit hard! So good! You can tell these people love what they do and they do it well! We will be back for more.

This is one of the best restaurants in the city. Tried it for the first time and came right back 3 days later. Every dish is fresh, delicious, and has deep wonderful flavours.

The samosas are excellent, the naan is soft yet crispy, and all of the mains are to die for.

Plus, the patio is one of the nicest in the city!

Super cute patio and absolutely delicious cuisine! We had a wonderful time and chatted with the owner who served us. This place is definitely my favourite Indian in Hali.

A delight of flavours in every bite, fantastic service and excellent prices. Appetizers were piping hot and perfectly seasoned, then we shared 3 mains and 2 rice for 4 people, nobody left hungry. One order of fresh garlic tandoori naan brought us straight to India, and this meal was nothing short of spectacular. Every new business in the North End will find inspiration in the way this restaurant is run. Our most fervent wishes of success for the Famous Curry Garden!

Worst experience ever in nova scotia for indian food, i ordered paneer makhani, the gravy was nothing but watery and the paneer pieces seemed to be just mixed in the gravy without cooking the whole thing and also the taste was awful, I also ordered paneer tikka, the gravy tasted like tomato gravy and thats it, no other taste, it also tasted awful, the veg platter was 13.99 and it only had 2 pieces onion bhaji, 2 pieces veg kebab and 1 samosa, i dont know why they call it platter, thats more than expensive, so over all was very bad experience for me and my colleagues, will never visit there again
