Carol is fabulous. She is always very accommodating to my schedule, always makes me look and feel better than when I did before I arrive. What more can I ask for? Well she provides a great conversation and a stellar smile on top of it all for free.

Went for a very basic trim (I have long straight hair with very few layers), and the woman who cut my hair didn't even finish. It was very windy outside when I went there, so my hair was a bit tangled after walking in for my appointment. I asked for a simple trim all over. The woman didn't wet or comb my hair; she pulled it back with her fingers and started trimming. The problem is she only trimmed the back of my hair and didn't touch my crown or front; I could tell it was a lost cause as she was working and just went home. I got home and wet and combed my hair only to find it completely uneven. I cut it myself and had better results. Save your money.

Update: I was contacted by a lovely person named Erin who apologized for my negative experience and offered me a coupon for a free haircut. I may not have had a good experience originally, but I do appreciate when a company tries to make customers feel valued. Thank You Erin!

Second Update: Went back to give them a second chance. Once again the woman who cut my hair (different from 1st experience) did not cut all of my hair! She only trimmed the ends of my length and did nothing with the shorter sections of my hair, which needed to be trimmed. And to top it off she blow dried my hair for about 30 seconds and then asked if my still completely wet hair was “good”, I said yes to end the experience before I got angry. I don’t understand how every stylist here is so bad. Once again I am going home to finish my own hair cut.

First choice is not a good place if you are new to Halifax or if you’re thinking that they know what kind of haircut they need they want you to give or they want you to have. They are not really experienced barber often I am they will even ask you for what number on the clipper you are looking for which is not make any sense. I just got a haircut and I am super pissed I Ended up paying around $30 for my haircut and the job is not done perfectly. Now I’m looking for a different barber.the lady was super rude and was yelling at me most of the time she didn’t even know how to do the beard when I told her to trim my beard then she ask what do you mean trim? Honestly guys if you’re looking for a haircut and you are a male person then please do not go to this location because we make people we look for somebody who is experienced and who knows what we are looking for we do not want to give every single thing in the details like give me a Three number haircut on my side logs and give me two number trim on my head and stuff like that when we say low it’s a low when we say it’s a high fade. It’s a high fade.
If you are female then try to go and get the haircut from a girl who was in hijab she was talking to her client so nicely.

Don’t ever go to this place if you really love your hair, Asian lady who works there will chop your hair completely to make you look bad, I think she is having bad day everyday and will ruin your hair completely, even I call manager to discuss about it and she was rude

Went in for layers, just got trim. Not returning again.

I deleted a bad review because I thought the owner wanted to fix it but I’m not sure if that’s a the case, or if she just wanted the review down…

FCH is a great place to get your hair done, especially if you can't afford to go to other salons. They do a great job and for a great price.

The folks did a great job, they were friendly, they listened and knew their stuff!
I showed a picture, and they gave me exactly what I wanted.

Went for a flat iron worst service didn’t find any difference before and after never visit again

Was not satisfied with the service. If you want a quick trim then opt this else there are others who listen to a customer's exact needs and do the cut slowly with precision

Very rushed service. I was there for a hair cut and in 7 minutes I was done. I didn’t feel good about my hair. I am disappointed with their service.

Neat and clean place near to Mumford terminal near to Pizza pizza.
Good and cheap place for a quick haircut! There is no need for prior appointments. Just walk in, and you will be good to go! Don't expect fancy cuts but decent for the price. For Both male and female at the same place.
I loved the fact of walkin as I have checked with many saloons and they give you appointments for days!

This was the worst haircut i have ever gotten, a 4 year old could cut straighter than this.to start, the place smelt awful when i walked in. I asked for a trim, around 2 inches off.before coming in my hair was long, almost to my belly button. Now, my hair is above my shoulders and each side is a different length.she cut at least 5-6 inches after telling me she was just going to trim it.she asked if i wanted layers, and I said yes to long layers.i don’t have any layers, instead i have a choppy, uneven mess.she also thinned my hair without asking if i would want that (which i don’t) and it was overall a very unenjoyable experience.

The place is good for a quick haircut. I didn’t need an appointment and was finished in under 30 minutes. The hair dresser was nice and the prices are cheap too. Last year i had to go back to get my haircut fixed because the lady messed it up.

I got a hair cut by Michelle. I love my haircut. I would recommend Michelle if you want that layer hair style.

I’ve been going to see Michelle regularly for quite a while at the Mumford location and she is the best hair stylist I’ve found. She always does an excellent job and is fast and efficient. She is also a super nice person with a positive attitude. I’ve recommended her to friends and I recommend her to you too!

Fikrie is the only hairdresser I trust to get me from very dark brown hair to blond. She is the only hairdresser that I’ve had thats been patient and gives enough time for the colour to work on my hair so I don’t end up with brassy highlights. My highlights always look fresh for many months and I never have to use purple shampoo. I’ve been getting compliments daily as a result of her work! I can’t wait for my next colour appointment.

Been going for our cuts for years now. Jodi, Mila, now Michelle. Michelle is creative, professional, enthusiastic, serious and takes her trade seriously. Friendly environment. Enjoy lisenting to the ladies gossip! Good pricing.
