Always get my hair done here but they really need to change their hours of business on the door. Went at 5: 15 for a hair cut and turned away.

I’ve been seeing Nicole for many years now. She always listens to what the client wants. Recently, I asked her to cut all my hair off from past my shoulders to a pixie. She remembered that last time I was in I said, “if I show up asking you to chop it all off - talk me out of it! ” And did she ever try! Eventually, she conceded and cut my hair as I wished only then secretly saying, “I always love the short cuts on you! ” Professional and always caring. Folks are always surprised when I say I go to First Choice when I’m complimented on my hair! I proudly say, “it’s locally owned and in my tight budget! Why pay more for the same (or not as good) haircut at a fancy salon? ” Thanks again Nicole!

Nicole Arnold has been cutting my hair for almost 15 years…. She’s awesome and with all the different hairstyles I’ve had over the years…she’s so versatile. Super friendly!

Called to make hair appointment.
Ended up having to cancel next day, due to family reasons.
Have to reschedule.

Brought my 2yo in for a haircut. We were turned away because he would not wear a mask. I tried to put one on him, but he was scared by the new experience of having his hair cut and would not keep his mask around his ears. He became upset. The hairdresser showed a total lack of compassion and compromise, she would not allow me to simply hold the mask over his nose and mouth - she said that he HAD to be wearing it. She said she was "not comfortable" doing it, and asked us to leave. Upsetting experience for me and my little guy.

I asked her to make it longer, she said come back in three weeks. And by God! She was right! Genius!

Good spot for a quick haircut. The person who cut my hair was great. She was friendly and gave me a good haircut.

This is the first time I’ve ever given a negative review for any business. My daughter’s cut was good, but I would rate the customer service as possibly the worst I’ve ever received.

Really clean. Perfect for a quick cut. Friendly staff. Been going here for 8-10 years. Only had one hair dresser cut my hair short (it was mostly my fault for not explaining my cut properly).

Excellent service. Walked in with my two year olds hack job 1st cut & was amazed with the precise and even result as well as generosity.

I took my 17 month old grandson in for a haircut, not knowing what to expect with a child that young. It was so easy! The stylist knew exactly what to do and kept him busy so he enjoyed it. They are great with toddlers and he really liked the sticker at the end. Thanks Candace!

The girl cutting my hair kept questioning why I wanted to straighten it and she cut it way to short never wasting 30$ here again

OVER PRICED!
It was a nice place with decent cutters until they decided to get greedy and raise a haircut for a man from 16.00 to 21.50? I sit in the chair for 8-10 minutes for a haircut and they want to charge 21.50! I was going their for 6 years but not anymore. Shop around people their are places that still charge around 16.00, one place is inside super store Portland st.good cutters!

Always easy to get to. Service always great. They interact with clients very well. Never had a bad experience with my son there.
