This establishment is widely recognized as one of the most exceptional dining destinations on the island.

A great place to fine while looking out over the port. Food was outstanding. Ordered the fish and chips, bacon wrapped shrimp, and muscles. All divine. Although the lobster roll was good I prefer mine warm rather than cold. Would highly recommend!

Very good mussels and planked salmon with grilled oranges on a bed of tasty rice.cooked properly, not overcooked!

Had a nice meal here. Got the chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and the pita and hummus to start. The pita was nice with a good hummus. I enjoyed the chicken sandwich and the sweet potatoe fries were great! Now there were some more expensive options on the menu. Some of the seafood stuff but I thought my meal was well priced. Service was nice as well.

Really liked the fiddle burger here ($22), I recommend it with the citrus salad option to balance the taste. Also had the “sinless sangria” ($9) as a beverage, which was okay; it was probably just not my taste. Not worth $9 in my opinion. If I came here another time, I’d want to get something else to drink.

100% recommendable. I'm a muslim and as a result I don't eat pork, the server knew this and took care of us.she said not to get any fried food as the oil is sus.they use different pans so I highly recommend this place.

Great environment, very accommodating to our big group despite a short notice. Our server, Eddie was excellent and even at the end gave us some tips on the sight-seeing places in Cape Breton. We enjoyed our, time there.

Had my 50th birthday dinner here and it was lovely. I had the lobster dinner would recommend trying something other than the Chipotle potato salad.

Probably don't pick a Restaurant in Cape Breton according to their Online Menu's -outdated from last year and priced much lower Online then In House for Summer of 2023. You'll be in for a Shock. Service @ Flavor was nothing short of Exceptional. The Giant Viola and the Caesar Salad are my voted Highlights. Don't be Concerned about the Planko Haddock -its done to Perfection. Tartar on Point. Not sure bout the Root Beer Ribs -Barq's or Mugs? Couldn't Tell.

The place is okay, both the food and the service. My wife enjoyed her seafood trio, I had much better lobsters before, in fact I think all of them were better.

It was amazing, so much food we could not finish. I loved the scalops in bacon, garlic butter. It was ALL GREAT FOOD.

Great location and food. The servers were nice. Make a reservation. The tables were sticky, and the chairs were event/catering style. Was not as romantic as we thought it was going to be.

Long wait for one of our party of four to get her meal but we all enjoyed our food and waitress and chef were very nice and attentive that the order was recd and enjoyed. Waitress was super.

This place has a very poor customer service.
And many of the waiters there doesn’t not respect clients enough.

We were here in the winter but would be much more scenic in the summer. Food was great as was the service.

Stopped in on on our way to Newfoundland and was not disappointed at all. The Food and Service was top notch! Highly recommend this place if you are on the hunt for seafood. The scallops just melted in your mouth and lobster was cooked perfectly. Price wasn't as bad as we thought either considering what we got. Had to bring another table to fit all the food lol. View of the harbour was beautiful too and after seeing a few people catch fish on the warf, guess where my kids had to go after we finished! Was just overall a great experience.

Went for a company Christmas party; I have a sever gluten allergy, the staff was very friendly and helpful.

The restaurant is beautiful and had a really nice atmosphere. Service overall was pretty good except for the fact we had to wait 45 minutes for our food. I'll give them a pass since it seemed like there were two big events that they were busy with.

Food was pretty good once it got to our table. The crab cakes and the chowder were very good. The fish and chips were alright (fish was perfect but chips were overcooked).

Don't order the entrees. They're the most expensive thing on the menu and the quantity of food doesn't match up to the price.

Overall I'll come again if I get the chance. Hopefully next time the kitchen will be faster with our food.

Great service, good selection and very tasty. Live music the night we were there adding to the ambience and fantastic view. Recommend reservations although we did get in without one.

Great restaurant in a great location in Sydney. A beautiful giant Fiddle outside playing music and a lighthouse inside. My haddock fish and chips was excellent

The seared salmon was the best dish I’ve had in a long time. The flavours had so many layers from the tangy vinaigrette reduction to the plate licking delicious blueberry sauce and perfectly prepared salmon. The service had me in stitches, she was so gracious and chill…If you’re up for a meal out and need to celebrate being in Cape Breton this is the place to be.

View was totally awesome, service was lacking, tables were all dirty, still dirty and sticky after we watched them 'clean' the tables, food was stunning like the views, but the lack of any service wont have returning guests.

This used to be the Go To spot in Sydney years back, times have changed.

My Daughter in law rented the back room for our Son's birthday party.everything was beautiful. The food was amazing, loved the set up of the tables.great hot meal and the service was great as well. Friendly and very efficient staff.

I eat here a bit. Service is always excellent. Most food is really good, but twice now I've had the bacon and seafood chowder (because I like chowder) and twice I've been disappointed - it really feels like it came out if a can. Today I could not find any bacon and I found one chunk, about the size of a pea, that I think was some kind of seafood.

Food was pretty good. Not outstanding. Service was again alright. Had to wait for a table despite reservations. Portions are VERY small. Do not expect to leave feeling full. Atmosphere is pretty good with the view and the live music but there is no decor. Feels like eating on a well maintained ferry. Over all rating of.really just OK. Food is really where there is the most room for improvement, which for a RESTAURANT is unfortunate. Kind of expected better, tbh. Nice place for a date over appetizers, say. Not really a place to go with friends. On the expensive side, especially considering portions and quality of the food. That makes it a bit pretentious. Reach exceeds grasp sort of thing. There are better options for dining in Sydney.

I had a pleasant dining experience here, but unfortunately, I did have a case of food poisoning because of it, which dropped my review to 1 star.

The server was nice and helped my table decide our orders. The food was quite nice as well (aside from the food poisoning) ; I ordered the chowder and the mussels. We suspect it was the mussels that may have caused an issue, since others at my table ordered the chowder and they were fine.

The view at this location is pleasant, though not recommended for viewing the sunset as the angle of the restaurant doesn't permit it for indoor dining.

Overall, it was an alright experience, but getting sick was very unfortunate. I caution others if they decide to try the mussels, though I'd hope that no one else will get sick from it.

I thought I first reviewed this place about a week ago and gave it a 5. I don't see my review so maybe I posted it on another site. But now this places gets a 3 out of 5. The dish that I had raved about with the 5 rating fell way short the second time. I had the Seafood Trio which knocked me over the first time. The second time, within days of the first time because it was so good, fell far short of the mark. The white wine cream sauce was almost no where to be found the second time. I expressed my concern to our server, and she promptly brought more sauce. The thing is the sauce she brought was in a very heated bowl, but the sauce was stone cold. Not good! Especially not good when the first time was amazing and I thought I found a new fav place to eat. No so. Will not go back. Between food and wine, when I spend 100 bucks, I expect better and deserve better.

Hugely disappointing. Server was running behind and took forever to get our drink orders, forgot to check on a special item when asked, and took our food orders nearly 30 min after we sat down. Halibut was badly overcooked and so dry it was nearly bricklike. The only reason I ate it was because it took so long to come I would have gladly eaten an actual brick. Another person at my table ordered curry and said the rice was half crunchy and half mush. I'm giving two stars instead of the one it deserves because the server deducted 25% from the cost of my meal.

The ambience was great at the restaurant. The staff were great and helpful and it was all fine, but what about the food you ask?

With respect to the food, I ordered the blackened fish tacos. What arrived was not exactly the Cajun style I was expecting, the flavours could have been stronger, I felt the mango salsa took over the salmon flavour. The food also took a long time to come to the table, probably because we were a larger group.

Would I go back there? Yes, maybe I would try something else on the menu.

The OWNER of restaurant has to be the most disrespectful and ignorant person around. He does not care about his customers what so ever. He made it very clear that he does not need our service after a simple request of having the LIGHTS on in the back room as we could not even see the writing in the menu. If you want to have sub par food and support a person who does not uphold the friendliness of Cape Breton this is the place for you. If you want to be treated with respect I would avoid.

Stopped by for a quick bite, at least 15 empty seats in the restaurant, was told they are all reserved. Waited around for a few minutes, others were turned away as well. Was looking forward to a meal here, was disappointed with not being able to eat even though there were so many empty seats.

One of the best experiences my wife and I have had. Highly recommend this place because the food was fantastic, service was second to none (our server, Alex, was an incredible server), and the view was breathtaking.

Don’t know how they expect to stay in business because they seem to be never open. My daughter was visiting Sydney for first time and we came down to the waterfront to visit on 3 different days/times and each time the business was closed. Maybe it’s a staffing issue.

It has been over a year since we ate here. I can honestly say it was the best meal we had in Sydney ever. We began with mussels and the mussel cream sauce was fantastic. When we arrived they mentioned they were out of lobster but by the time we ordered our mains the waitress came with good news that lobster had just arrived so I ordered the lobster club. Before that I started with the incredible seafood chowder. I often order this as a starter and it was absolutely the best I ever tasted. Next the lobster club arrived which was 4” thick packed lobster and off the charts delicious. I shared with my wife who ordered the pan seared haddock. I tried hers and omg the lemon caper sauce was like nothing I ever tasted, incredible. Our friends had vegan tacos which they raved about and had to take some home. Btw, other appetizers on the table were the beer cheese dip pita and nachos, again delicious. Yeah we ordered enough for 10 but as stuffed as we were we cannot wait to return. We tried the patio restaurant up the street last week and although nice pub atmosphere was no comparison in food. Alexa was our server and although the restaurant was busy she gave us incredible service with no delay. We will definitely be returning!

A wonderful dinner here with a couple of friends. We were seated quickly and our server was prompt and courteous. Two of us had the ribs in root beer sauce with fresh cut french fries.excellent meal.highly recommend. One of us had a lobster dish for her entre. She said it was delicious and contained a lot of lobster. Nice spot with great atmosphere.

Nice views of the harbour and sunset. Strange interior set-up and little atmosphere. Goat cheese and beat salad was supreme. Service left something to be desired

Server was super friendly. They were busy so it took just under an hour to get our meals. Food wasn’t bad but very unremarkable for a $150 meal for two adults and two kids. Location/views are very nice.

The nachos are hands down the best I've tried on the island as are the crab cakes. The view is gorgeous and you can take a stroll along the Sydney boardwalk. Highly recommend!

Food was delicious, servers excellent and not a long wait! Very accomodating when we decided against eating onnthe patio as it was way too windy. Will definitely be back!

Went here for my birthday supper, and had a great night! Food was amazing, atmosphere was wonderful but the best part was the live music. The singer was phenominal! He even dedicated a song to me for my birthday!

My meal was incredibly delicious! Awesome place to eat looking over the water and then go walking on the boardwalk after. Would definitely love to come back and bring my family for a cool NS experience.

Kenny was a great server. Very friendly. The the Apple stuffed cranberry chicken was delicious and the perfect size. The apple cheesecake as a take home dessert was delicious.

Busy Friday and Saturday so you might not get a table. People are loving there meals a hot spot for sure best location in Sydney.

Had steak was perfectly cooked as I asked potatoes and veggies perfectly seasoned, live music was great nice style and not to loud service was great only thing for me was bloody Ceasar was to spicy! A must try!

The food was delicious - had the nachos as a table and each had great meals (salmon, steak, jambalaya, and GOAT burger). Server, Kenny, was excellent. And they had local musician in who was talented and a reasonable volume. Will definitely go back.

The food was absolutely incredible! I had chicken and my husband had steak.both were cooked to perfection and my mouth waters just thinking about it! We had the seafood trio app to start, and it too was amazing. Drinks were top notch. Can't say enough about this place! We're lucky to have this gem in Cape Breton. All the stars!

The server was really friendly and nice. Food was amazing and decent price and decent quantity. Amazing view by the waterfront and nice atmosphere. If you get a chance do sit in their patio to enjoy the last few days of sunshine
