Fo'c'sle Tavern

A traditional NS pub with decent food and great beers. It can get overly crowded and service is slow but overall it’s a fun spot to visit. Also the oldest pub in NS.

Bev at the Fo'c'sle Tavern went completely above and beyond in assisting with my Christmas purchase, which I was doing so, from another province. Not only was Bev incredibly helpful and accommodating, I was thanked for thinking of The Fo'c'sle Tavern, in purchasing gift certificates for Christmas

Fun place. Nova Scotia’s oldest pub.great selection of beer on tap, excellent food. Try the flash fried pepperoni, may sound strange but an awesome app.

Food was awesome and fresh.

We were so pleased to have found this gem of a pub in Chester. On our visit and walking around the waterfront saw this and after learning it was the oldest pub in Nova Scotia we had to check it out! The layout is amazing great views, a very vegan/vegetarian friendly menu! We were please with both our dishes and loved the ambiance! 10/10 would come back because of the history and great experience!

Food was good to excellent. Server polite friendly professional. One thing, if you play Christmas music stick to the soft traditional stuff for eating atmosphere. We were distracted from our meal listening to caterwhaling from Whitney Houston wannabees attempting to introduce every octave possible into Silent Night etc. Choice of music dropped our opinion from 5 Stars. We'll be back after Christmas.

Great beer, excellent food and awesome atmosphere. The Fire Burger might be one of the best burgers I've ever had. It's no surprise the taverns been open so long.

Pretty cool place the oldest pub in NS. Every corner is part of history. Food is great too. Good portions, good price.
