La chambre a besoin de rénovation. Le prix était le plus bas de l'endroit mais ça ne valait pas mieux Le personnel sympathique. Le déjeuner est très limité.

This motel is in the perfect location if you are visiting the Fortress of Louisbourg, but that's about it. It's a typical run-down motel in a small town and probably the worst night I've had in a long time. Staff are very friendly but hard to find and don't answer the phone when you call.

The rooms open with a physical key, and we had to struggle to get our door open. We had a mini-fridge, TV and microwave. The furniture looked like a mix of 90's stuff and an attempt to update all mixed together. The bathroom was ok - same mix of 90's and an attempt to upgrade. I refused to use the tub because there was mildew or black mould all over the wall near the taps. The beds are rock hard, and the pillows are old, flat as pancakes, and hard. The floor at the foot of one bed in our room had water under the floorboards - every time we stepped there, water was squeezed out - and it smelled slightly off over there. We couldn't get hold of anyone at the desk though; nobody was there when we went in to ask about it, and nobody answered the phone.

There is an included continental breakfast, but don't go actually looking for breakfast. There was coffee and tea, watered-down orange drink, plain Corn Flakes or Rice Krispies, plain packaged oatmeal, toast, and weird egg patties. Nothing else. It was a very poor excuse for breakfast.

If you are planning on seeing anything within Louisbourg, then the location of this motel is ideal, beyond that I can not say anything positive.

It is a stereotypical run-down independent small-town motel where the door is opened with a physical key. The motel is attached to a local bar where the inn manager can be found. Food is available at certain times via that bar. After hours, microwaveable hoggies can be purchased.

The room looks like it is original from the 80s. There is a fridge, microwave and a Keureg but the furniture is spartan. The tub has water stains and the washroom looks just as dated as the rest of the motel. Biggest issue I had was that the thermostat did not seem to want to heat up the room (via baseboard heaters) and in terms of safety, the smoke detector battery compartment was open and empty (pressing test provided no alarms) and the electrical socket plates was not secured to the wall.

This level of comfort during a low season was 100$/night. Not worth it at all given for a few tens of dollars more I can stay at a proper hotel. If I were to do this trip again, I would take the 30 min 1-way drive hit and stay in Sydney instead.

Don't stay here! Old motel type, ridiculous step up into our room. I usually book a handicap accessible room, none here.
