Ruff, clams and chips were an undercooked mess. For 21 dollars I got 6 mangled half cooked clams and some soggy doggy fries.wouldn't recommend wouldn't go back.

The best fish and chips I've had in Halifax so far. I'm from a rural area of NS with lots of small fishing villages, and this place really reminded me of home. Fish tasted very fresh, and I left feeling very full and satisfied.

I have been here twice since I moved to Dartmouth in August and I hope to be there many more times. The fish n chips are absolutely amazing and when you get your chips done into Newfie fries, well, there’s no measurement!

Tried two piece fish and chips but it was not so good. It was fried in really bad oil and couldn’t eat even a single fries as it was tasteless and cold. Salt was missing

Fries are a bit over fried and underseasoned. But extremely good portion size. Value for bucks.

Food great big helpings.just the ketchup don't use it.they need to spend the xtra and get heinz! Food be better! Fish is huge! Again great place to eat.

The food is always good and consistent. Its a small licensed restaurant clean and friendly. The servings are generous and have a good variety on the menu. It has a old school feel, warm atmosphere.

Had a delightful experience at Fries and Co for my brother's birthday! Their chowder was absolutely excellent - rich, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. My mom tried their fish and chips, and it didn't disappoint either; crispy, tender, and truly delicious. The ambiance and service complemented the food wonderfully. We'll definitely be returning for more memorable meals!

Best fish and chips I've tasted on a Nova Scotia trip and the portion was huge. Also, recommend their chocolate pie. It's delicious! However, their mussels and butter were extremely salty- should avoid.

I'm not shur how often they change there oil or if they just keep adding new oil on top of the old oil but those fries are just the worst they get soggy so fast and are not very good to begin with

The service at Fries & Co was really lovely. Our server was great and took excellent care of us. The food was hit and miss. The fish was excellent. Perhaps the best fried fish in town. Highly recommend and would get again. The chips were ok. They weren’t the best, but weren’t the worst. I also got an order of mussels. The butter garlic sauce was good, but the mussels weren’t particularly good. So, a mixed bag. We definitely would be back because of the great fish though!

Fish and chips were so good. Best place we have tried so far. Tasted fresh and clean. Left feeling good and not gross like when you usually stuff yourself full of fried food. Would definitely recommend

Dropped in on our visit to Halifax and man were we impressed. Really friendly service and amazing lobster rolls and fish and chips. Highly highly recommended!

I love this place. Yes, it's a bit garish but it has a homey feel. The owners and staff are super friendly and will promply provide you with huge helpings of food.

They are known for their oversized fish and chips. Bring an appetite.

The Jessie Burger is a personal favorite.

It's also the only place I know of in town where you can get a Cornish pastie (dairy free!). Try it with ketchup. So good.

Having moved from England, couldn’t believe the taste of these fish and chips.

They top everything. I have not had a better meal than this, in a long long while.

We all enjoyed it a lot and keep talking about it.

Had a very enjoyable fish and chip at Fries & Co.last week. It was very good with a healthy portion. One of the better meals of fish and chips I’ve had in Halifax.

Great service. Very friendly. Food was not only quick, it was tasty and very affordable. I had the cheese and onion pasty and chips. It was delicious.

The fish and chips were delicious, as were the clams. This was my first time here, and I assure you it won't be my last! The fish pieces were huge and the batter is crispy and perfect. The only thing that beat the food was the service. I already feel the need to go back! Hope this helps

Fish & Chips how it should be. I admit it had been years since I ate here, it will be much sooner next time. Food is very fresh and very delicious. A wonderful experience I look forward to again asap!

Ordered the scallop special which is scallops a piece of fish coleslaw and fries. I think the fish and chips are $13. My special was $26 and it came with 5 little scallops. So my bill with a beer was $36. Wasn't too impressed and food wasn't great.

This place is great, the staff are nice, the owner is kind, the service is quick, and the interior has a sense of home.

Their burgers are amazing, and both that and their fries are made in store. Huge portions of fish too with their fish n chips. Highly recommended.
