Timing is everything here.
Research when the tidal bores occur or it will just look like any other river. Get there early to get a parking spot.

When services are closed You can't get yet the information at all. When the title boar is should be posted all the time. As well as the free viewing station.

Best playground around, lovely trail, information desk is tremendously helpful. A lot of people come up here to this quiet little place to enjoy lunch breaks, have a picnic, or take their kids to burn off some energy. Beware, occasionally the road to the park will be closed with a gate because it is in a flood zone. Call ahead to be sure.

Great place to see the tidal bore and the guide on was approachable and mingled with those who were in attendance for the tidal bore.

This is a nice place to watch the tidal bore. There is a playground for the kids, and a park ranger on duty to answer questions. Make sure to get there 15 minutes early in case Mother Nature is on her own schedule. There are benches to sit on as well to watch the event.

A good place to stop and watch the tidal bore, lots of parking, even for large Motor home. Be aware, the heights of the tidal bore is relative to the moon, as is the times of tide coming in and going out.go to the website for the best times to stop.

I decided to rewrite my review. It wasn't very informative. Anyway after my most recent visit yesterday to see this phenomenon, I came away just as glad to have experienced it.
The Discovery site itself is much better than my first time there years back. Way back then, it was just a spot that folks gathered to watch the total bore.
Now it has been transformed into a beautiful park for the whole family. There is a play area for kids. A nice walking path. A nice little learning area. As well as benches to watch the tide come in as that wonderful wave begins the fast filling from a mud base to a full canal. All in the span of ten or so minutes.
The folks in the building even yell out to give you he heads up that the wave is coming. We had a nice cup of coffee on the bench for our viewing pleasure.
This is a rare thing to experience throughout the world. So do yourself a favor and take the time to experience it.
