Fun little museum that talks about the geological history. There is also a small gift shop. The people at the desk were very helpful when I asked for good spots to go mineral hunting

Every time I'm in Nova Scotia I always seem to find my way to this museum. It's classic. And it's well worth visiting.

Great place for kids and adults alike. They have a very interesting display as well as some interactive set ups. Prices are reasonable. They also have clean washrooms. One day I would like to see an all-gender washroom facility since they have a progressive pride flag on display.

The museum is small, and in my opinion misses the mark with it's exhibits. Plan on 20 minutes or so, to read everything if you do not have children. I'm sure that they could fit a lot more displays in the area they have. What they do have is confusing. Why does it contain examples of gypsum from Mexico? There is an exhibit claiming to be stone tools that is laughable. At least there a some actual stone tools (arrowheads) further on. If it is a museum about the geology of the Bay of Fundy, why does it talk about gold elsewhere in the province? If it's about Nova Scotia's geology, a rename and a lot more exhibits would help. Actually, more exhibits would help!

It might be okay if you have small kids.

Fun place for adults and kids. Lots of interactive exhibits. There are also some paths to walk around the grounds near the tidal bore area. Nice to see technicians working in the lab on various fossils. We were lucky to be there when there was a tent set up next to the museum that had extra minerals and rocks that were collected that the museum no longer needed. For a small donation I was able to take some lovely specimens.

It’s a cute little museum, with lots of fun facts and a few really cool fossils. Not super worth going out of the way for, but if you’re in the area and think geology rocks, might be a great place for you!

If your interested in the history of Nova Scotia.
The types of rocks
The fossils and the way Nova Scotia came into existance,
then its a great hour or 2 visit

We certainly found it extreemily informative

The big plus is my wifes interest in differant rocks so our stay was extended as she absorbed every bit of information on the differant types of rock

Interesting, but small museum. I wouldn't go out of my way for it, but if nearby, it's worth a quick stop. We were in here less than 30 minutes.

If you have younger children who are interested in dinosaurs this is a great spot to check out while in Parrsboro. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We even picked up a few souvenirs from the gift shop. We all learned a lot of interesting things about our Province that I previously had no idea about. There are a number of informative historical videos and displays that are worth while taking the time to watch. My 10 year old daughter really enjoyed this stop and I am sure yours will as well. Worth the visit without question

A wonderful Nova Scotia Museum! Be prepared if you are visiting for the first time; this is a small Museum. There are very few exhibitions and with covid still in effect there is nothing interactive that the kids can touch or play with.
Make sure you take part in one of their guided tours to get the full effect and make the most of your experience. Our tour guide was Reagan and she was wonderful! We learned so much from her and look forward to returning to do a different tour.
Absolutely loved the gift shop. Lots of Nova Scotian crafts. Not too many toys. Exactly the kind of gift shop that I like:)

Thorough display of the geological development of the Earth, and specifically Nova Scotia. Also highlighting the dinosaur fossils discovered in the area. We went through it in about 90 minutes.

Although small, this museum had excellent signage and enough to keep everyone entertained for 30 minutes or 2 hours depending on how involved you want to be. A mixture of interactive exhibits and knowledgeable staff make for a highly enjoyable experience.

The Fundy Geological museum is a great, interactive museum. Especially great for kids. They can paint, read, ‘find’ fossils etcetera.
This was one of the most interactive musea in Nova Scotia. You can also see people working with fossils trough a window. Great experience for young and old.

Interesting and fun museum to visit if your in town. It's quite small. Some of the aspects of the tour were not working properly. They have painting activities and other things for kids. Lots of local artifacts and history.

Very small but educational, as I leaned Nova Scotia has this rare tile of Rock Soup. Nice place to spend time in a rainy day.

Had a great time at the museum! Thought there would be a bit more to see but was still very educational about rocks, tides and the history about the area. Took all of 30 mins to go through. Recommend the stop if you are going through the area
